[Link to guide] Using a beaglebone black to control Gridseeds or other ASIC's

I wrote up a guide to setting up a Beaglebone Black for use with Gridseed's specifically, but should at least get you in a good spot for other USB ASIC's as well, and thought this would be a good place to share it.

This happened to me as well. Perhaps we should post things that we've done that could be the cause and see if we find a common denominator. Here's what I can think to mention that might be pertinent.

I have a unique (for TmB only), randomly generated password, however I use lastpass to manage it. I'm moving away from this service to keepass, in case it's the culprit
I ran the UVC wallet last night, however it was in a VM.
I've accessed my TmB account from two separate computers as well as a Android tablet. However, I trust all the software I have installed, and don't use any cryptocurrency helper software/extensions/apps (which are the most likely to be infected).

What's the story on wallet availability on launch for this? It was asked earlier in this thread but not answered. Windows only? Source? Hint: The answer should be cross-platform source available on launch.

Will you have an inflated starting difficulty?

Other than lacking some technical details, coin looks better than most coming out around this time.

If you choose to mine on this pool I can promise you spend more time coin-switching than actually mining thanks to pool admins incompetence.

STAY AWAY!!!!

It's true! In fact yesterday was the most profitable day I've ever had since I started mining, thanks this this pool. Oh wait, that contradicts what you said, doesn't it?

Thanks for the feedback!

After some tweaking I am getting right about 45% so I think you're spot on there.

I'll let it run for a few days and try to remember to post back with my findings if I remember, as suggested by vrm86.

Update: I see a question like this was answered with an expected 2.5x gain over LTC. If so well then awesome! Anyway you can probably just ignore the original question, but I'll leave it in the post here.

---------------

Question on that scrypt-n mining. Specifically towards your scoring. They consistently have the highest scores. Like right this very moment Panda's score is 247.9 and VTC's is 224.2 which is significantly higher than anything else. Are these scores weighted against the fact that you only get about 30% to %40 of the hash rate (based on my extremely limited testing)? Or is that not a factor. I'm making assumptions on a scoring system I know nothing about so I know I might be way off base.

Regardless, I'm just going to point a couple of GPU's at it for a few days and see how it pays out and get the answer for myself, but I was curious.

API?

First off, just switched earlier today at the recommendation of a friend. So far, I'm VERY impressed. Thanks!

I was wondering about an API. Specifically if there will be one (or if it's being considered) or if there already is one? I read the FAQ, did some Googling, and searched this thread and didn't find anything. Personally I'm just interested in my own information (worker info, the stuff on the statistics screen, etc) but I'm sure something more global would result in people making cool sites full of graphs. Everyone loves graphs!

Just wanted to come and say thanks! Signed up just to do so. I'll make it a point to donate to the address given on the first page.

I got it running with a fresh clone and compile from github, running on Debian Wheezy 32-bit. I had to grab and install the 5.5 CUDA dev package from NVIDIA's site because the CUDA package available in the repos is archaic, because. well... Debian.. but it works like a charm. In case anyone comes across this and plans on using the same distro.
