Re: GekkoScience Terminus R808 Miner Official Support Thread

Hi. Good evening. How are you? So I am having trouble getting the r808 to connect. I have compac f miners too and can get them to run on windows and the raspberry pi. But when it comes to configuration of cgminer vthoang on linux it always fails, the installation. The compac f software on the pi and windows recognizing the r808 but it either goes zombie or off. So now on windows. I tried cgminer 3.7.2 and cgminer 4.12.0, a special one meant for the r808. So set that up today. Using zadig to put the winusb driver and also have the frequency at 25 to start. When it 1st started it kept saying failed usb. It accepted 2 shares and then said off. No matter how many times I restart cgminer it recognizes the r808 but goes straight to off. No white light flashing. Just a solid blue light. I am using my power supply 6 pin connector to power it. So can anyone help with this? A version of cgminer pre compiled that works? I also have evening connected to usb 2.0. No usb 3.0 at all. Any help would be most appreciated. I wish to have the r808 mine solo with my compac f miners. Thank you.

Thank you. And that is good to know. I appreciate it! I did not know that about the de.ckpool. I have just been rocking 11 compac f miners and sometimes one hashboard on a s9. Electricity is very expensive. And never the less, thank you for the authorised explanation. I started looking on here. Got about 20 pages in from the beginning and did not see anything about it. I should have looked further. Thank you kindly for the prompt response.

Hi. How is everyone? So I was hoping someone could explain what authorised means on the wallet monitoring page for this pool. I use de.ckpool.org for I am closer to europe. I have used this pool for years. And now for some reason between the bestever hash and where it says worker. It says "authorised:  1685417900," I have used ck pool for about 5 years and this has never shown up before and was hoping someome on here could help with that. I listed below the page. Thank you.

R1 Custom Firmware available!

As promised, I am releasing my customized firmware to the community. Please note that although I refer to this package as custom firmware, it is really just a patch file. If you reset your R1 to factory defaults, you will lose the customizations. In which case, you would just need to re-apply the patch.

Changelog for release 0.95:
- Opened up port 4029 for API access to cgminer-u3 instance
- Max frequency for U3 increased to 250M
- Max fequency for R1 increased to 250M (I have not personally tested freq past 125. Use at your own risk!)

Firmware Enhancements
- U3 zombie handling(Scripted auto-cgminer restarts and R1 reboot if necessary)
- Supports modifying R1 pools from UI, without losing the ability to use Bitmain's solo pool for R1.
- Detailed R1 stats page, including pool statistics
- Supports modifying R1 freq and voltage from UI
- U3 freq selection increased to 250M
- Cgminer-U3 API open for monitoring with 3rd party tools

WARNING: These customizations provide the ability to push your R1 beyond its intended limits. Because of this, it will likely void your warranty with Bitmain. Additionally, I provide this patch with no official support, and take no responsibility for any damage done to your R1 device or its surroundings. Use at your own risk! By downloading and applying this patch, the user is accepting these conditions.

Download Below
R1CGCustomFW_0.95_2015-12-28.tar.gz

Upgrade instructions
To upgrade your firmware, go to "Backup / Flash Firmware" under the "System" tab
- Click on the "Chose File" button to the right of "Restore Backup:" (NOTE: Do not mistake this with the "Chose File" button under Flash new firmware. - This is not a full binary firmware file)
- Choose "R1CGCustomFW_0.95_2015-12-28.tar.gz" from your PC and then click on the "Upload archive" button.

Your antrouter system will reboot and come back up with updated firmware!

At your Firmware  i also can modified the diff manually or i can fix the diff at a sha256 Altcoin pool?

I am using the raspberry pi 4 with 1.5ghz processor and 8gb memory

Hello and thank you. I appreciate the help. I did not use that particular link. But the link I used has the same identical information. I will reflash the pi tomo and try again. But the libncurses.so.5 error. Think it has to do with a 32 bit or 64 bit issue of some kind. I tried to download both 64 and 32 bit versions of libncurses.so.5 and kept getting error the file can not be found or does not exist. I am at a loss. I am using powered hubs for everything, including my perhiphals. Know the pi does not like too much power draw. I just want to use the pi to run bfgminer. I have 13 moonlanders sitting idle....
Ahoy fellow Raspberry Chum!

I have found that my raspberry pi zeros absolutely HATE any usb 3 cable (the blue ones). They will never ever recognize, however when I got a cable from the dollar store, and connected that to the powered Usb hub, it recognized.

I used Raspbian Stretch Lite when i initially set mine up, however it would appear it has now been replaced with "Raspberry Pi OS Lite" , https://www.raspberrypi.org/software/operating-systems/

I like that since it removes excess bloatware and apps that I did not need, and gave a barebones starting point for troubleshooting.

Did you follow the standard old setup instructions on the pi for the moonlander?
This is the tutorial I had followed. https://steemit.com/raspberry/@qctechno/howto-install-futurebit-moonlander-2-usb-scrypt-miner-with-raspberrypi-3

I'd recommend starting over on the Pi image, since it can get all borkled from too many different file versions.

hope it helps!

Still no idea what this L2F part is... But it smells like my old "electronics 101" classroom in here.

I can not figure out how to post a photo on here. But the error is ./bfgminer: error while loading shared libraries: libncurses.so.5: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory

What fundamentals do you have to call this a great coin when no website, explorer and no discord?

Hello and good afternoon. How are you? My name is chris. Just found your coin a few days agi americom coin. I am currently mining it. Wallet works good. I had a few questions. 1st. What is the meaning behind this coin? And what is this oceans coin? Do you run both? I looked up oceans and said it was on eth platform. Wallet works. But thr minerd.bat file will not mine at all. Rpc port error. Do you have a discord for americom coin? Electricity is very expensive for me. I currently have 2 antminer s1 and 2 antminer s3 mining americom coin. If we have a bright future. I will make a half a dozen wallets and have them run 24/7 and also stay mining and try to help promote. The exchange listed on this page does not have americom  aaa coin on it. Have you tried unnamed.exchange? Pretty good exchange. But I like this coin. Desire to learn more and would like to help where I can. Thanks for your time and have a great day!

Hello. How are you? I just found your coin. Its pretty cool and am currently trying to mine it. I have a couple issues and if you could help that would be great and appreciated. Ist issue is the wallet is stuck at 2 weeks. In which a block had not been found in 2 weeks. I myself am pointing 1th to 1.5 th speed towards americom coin. Another miner on another pool has 4tb pointed at americom coin. Neither of us are getting any blocks for the last recorded block was received 2 weeks ago. So why is the coin not mining? Thank you.

Hello my name is chris. I just found your coin and love this project! And want to help. I have 50mh mining now. Have you tried checking out unnamed.exchange? You can cater to doge, ltc and btc markets. If we can get this rolling I would be more than glad to donate some proceeds regularly for the cause. And crex can help promote the coin
