so...it looks like gotj.talesfromthescrypt.org was a scam.

the site has been down for over a day now and no one seems to care that it looks like they just ran off with all the coins they conned people into mining for them...

some family this turned out to be...

edit: every single pool this user has posted has meet the same fate. this default homepage is all that remains of the pools and their coins.

It works!

This is the default web page for this server.

The web server software is running but no content has been added, yet.

Please add MNC the World's Platinum Coin because Platinum is rarer than gold (BTC)

I second this, I mean if you are going to have FTC why would you not have MNC???

Has anyone sold Bitcoin using bitcoinmarket.com? I'm having troubles...

How long do the transfers usually take? I'm having trouble contacting the site, they haven't responded to any of my emails, and I haven't seen any payments for the 40BCT of mine they took. Has anyone else used this site? Has anyone else had problems? How long should the payment take to go through? If I don't get my money do I ever see my Bitcoin again? Huh

Re: Crossfire mining?
by

I'm running 2 5850s in CrossfireX and have the top-rated card performance listed on the mining hardware comparison wiki page (710 MH/s combined). Both run at 99% load. Fwiw. Win7 x64

I would attribute your higher output entirely to your ~200mhz core overclock. What do they put out individually? Have you tried not running them in crossfire for comparison?

Roughly 355 MH/s each with CFX disabled. The GPUs can become very inefficient if the "-f" parameter is set very low (<40). I think this is what's happening in most peoples' cases when they're running CFX.

That's weird, considering I see the exact opposite opposite results when I lower -f. If i set it at 1 the computer becomes hard to use due to graphical lag, but I get an extra ~10% Mh/s.

What if you we're to run the cards independently with -f set to 1?

I found this site very helpful if you're interested in running Poclbm using a GUI in Windows.

I believe the fees are attached to the 50bct blocks randomly. The first block my pool got was 50.04, but I don't know what determines what blocks get what fees.

Tried to play using the linux installer. On launch is get

Fatal: Cannot write to output file: egenesis.lc

Also won't let me run it as root as a 'fix'.

I was installing the game on my friends mac and got the exact same message. I was trying to open the files directly without putting them into a folder that had write permissions. Just copy the files to a new folder and you should be fine.

technically, money laundering would be hiding the source of the money, which is easily done regardless of the currency involved

If you list what hardware you have and give an idea of shipping I might be interested, but it really depends on what exactly you have.

I had to do something similar, it wants the drivers and SDK installed in a specific order, but certain driver versions don't want to work with certain SDK versions so I had to kinda try all of them, installing them randomly until I finally got it to work using the 2.2SDK and the 11.4 driver, I believe.

Get me to show up for the free Bitcoins, then I stay for the high stakes gambling...clever.

I can already tell this game is going to be dangerously addictive.

You are going to want to use the 2.1 or 2.2 SDK because I think the 2.4 is 5-10% slower, but first things first. Do you know for sure if the card you have supports OpenCL? I know the site lists the card, but perhaps there was a mix up?
