Nice scam  Grin

Mucowa = SendyourmoneytoMe

Not at all. We are a legit company, feel free to stop by and have a nice chat with us: http://rocklogic.at/contact.html

Since the code is obfuscated, would it be possible to monitor the web traffic going out from the wallet to make sure it never sends private keys anywhere?
Yes, here you are: http://www.wireshark.org/

I've just installed it. It works smoothly. Very nice.

Could you please add Quark?

Also a question: say I have 2 wallet addresses: one for Personal expenses, and one for Business income and expenditure.  With the current QT if you have several addresses and make a payment, very often the payment will go out of both addresses. And it makes it difficult to keep both accounts separate.  This is especially important for Business needs and taxes (because I want the blockchain to be a proof for the taxman).  When making a payment through MuCoWa is it possible to choose which address should the payment go out from?

Thanks!

We are working on implementing Quarkcoin.

If you have 2 wallets (that means you see 2 wallets on the left bar with the "New Wallet" button below it) you can choose which wallet you want to send the coins from. This means: Wallet A has a balance of 1 BTC, Wallet B has a balance of 2 BTC. You cannot send 2.5 BTC from any of them, because they are not connected, instead you must make 2 transaction, 1 transaction for each wallet, to withdraw a sum of 2.5 BTC.

The QT is different, you can only have 1 wallet (one wallet.dat) open at a time, this means you mix up the addresses, as you already stated.

InceptionCraft's MPOS pool is now the only pool to have a live updating statistic on the dashboard that shows the probability of the pool generating an anomaly. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like:
...
I need to polish up the code first, and then I will help wzttide and future pool owners implement it if they want it.

Pool: http://cga.inceptioncraft.net/mpos (PPLNS, 1% fee).

I'd love to implement this!

Is the source code available?

As written above:
No scam possible: The software is written in Java, this means you can decompile the jar file (Google is your friend) and look at the source for yourself!

So if you can take fees, how can we be sure you cannot take more if you wanted to? Explain.
Everyone can decompile the jar file and examine the source code. You'll find nothing suspicious.

Update 1.1.0
  • Some minor bugfixes (Litecoin transactions appear faster now)
  • Added Feathercoin

Currently supporting 7 coins: BTC, LTC, DOGE, QRK, FTC, CGA and DGC, more will be added soon.
Superfast: Superfast startup, blockchains synchronize way faster than on original clients.

Easy to use: Just download the installer (MS Windows) or the zip file (MS Windows/Linux/MacOS) and you are good to go!
Lightweight: The blockchains are usually below 1 mb each.
No scam possible: The software is written in Java, this means you can decompile the jar file (Google is your friend) and look at the source for yourself!

A multicoin wallet already exists:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=58821.0

This is not lightweight (even if it's better than the original wallet's blockchain size). Just think you store 50 coins' blockchains, you'll probabaly need 100 GB for this.

Edit: Wallet is released: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=476411.0

I'm not a geek, and trying to understand this. What good is a multi coin wallet unless I can choose the coins that I want to store in it. This sounds to much like enterprising people who want to get people like me to use their software, simply to promote the coins that they have selected. There are over 100 coins now (and growing). Why don't you building a wallet that will house any or all of peoples choices. Is this so difficult?

Rick
You are correct, it is true that supported coins may get more attention than not supported ones, but it is nearly impossible to support all coins at once. We want to begin small for now, this means 4 coins: BTC, LTC, DOGE and CGA (the last one is not much used, we wanted to see if implementing it is possible because of its unique block reward system). We'll add coins in order of http://coinmarketcap.com/ or community requests on our subreddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/MuCoWa/

The reason why you would choose a multi coin wallet software is simple: Some people hold way more then 2 or 3 different coins, the original wallets are very heavy (lots of resources like connections, memory and disk space needed), but they want to use their coins' balances anytime. The solution is simple: One software to support all commonly known coins, lightweight and easy to use! We already made a client which is lightweight and easy to use, once it is released we'll focus on supporting more coins. This is the goal we want to achieve.

You can easily use http://www.wireshark.org/ to track what the software does. You'll fine nothing suspicious. Beside the fact that open source is not equatable to "safe", this is a common prejudice.

After this facts, there is another one, very important: We are not hiding behind aliases and nicknames (like many open source authors does), but a registered company. Take a look at https://coinbrother.com/

If this list of counter-arguments doesn't change your mind, you can decompile the software (takes not even 10 seconds), since it's Java we use to write this software.

Interesting!  Will it be open source?
Parts of it are open source, yes. Although not the entire code will be available to the public.
