buttcoin...that sounds like a really great idea. Some other coins that you might consider are shitcoin and vomitcoin.

If you give me 10000 BTC, I'll order you a medium pepperoni from Pizza Hut.

Was the pizza of lore just a medium? Damn.

Pretty sure it was a full size, this guy is being stingy.

Re: How anonymous is TOR really?

If tor didn't work, the illegal sites on the darknet would have been shut down long ago. They have not been shut down (for the most part), so we know that it does work. Of course there's no silver bullet for anonymity. If you were doing something really shady, you would still need to alter your posting style and be careful which sites you access through tor in order to keep your identity properly a secret.

Blockchain.info is probably the best non-exchange online wallet going around.

Sounds like you got a virus there with trojan.zbot. Best not to run bitcoin on that comp until it has been thoroughly cleaned by someone who knows what they are doing, or perhaps even format the comp and clean install.

Re: What does the Liberty Reserve take-down mean for alternatives like Bitcoin?

This is a shame. Liberty reserve was a pretty common way to fund exchanges. Can't help but think their will be less money flowing into bitcoin now.

Unfortunately this kind of thing happens a lot, often due to brute forcing, virus/keylogger on your machine, or reused passwords on some other account.

Could the DoS attach actually be all the new users trying to login at the same time?
I'm pretty sure gox could handle the traffic if that was all it was. More likely it is some traders looking to make quick profits by shutting gox down temporarily.

What was the actual original deposit(s) amount. How much is interest, and how much are "your" bitcoins?

My deposit and withdrawal history isn't something i'm willing to discuss on a public forum.

Is the 90 BTC high still in effect?

I will reset the bidding for now. Previous bidders can choose to reaffirm their bids if they wish.

In light of this development right before the auction close I am going to extend the bidding for an extra hour, so it will now end at 1:32:39. This is to allow people some time to mull over the new info, and for any questions you may have.

Hi,

Just to notify you guys, Pirate has in the last couple hours reverted the balance of my BS&T account to the balance shown on 08/14/2012 - which is 6304.90. This was the date of his last interest payment. I haven't heard anything from him about this, but I presume he is doing this to try to reduce his liability. Whether the account is worth 8k+ or 6k+ or somewhere in between will be a matter to be resolved between pirate and the new purchaser. Please keep this in mind in your bidding. I will add the latest screenshot of the account to the dropbox folder.

Best regards
