Re: Bitcoin Gold to be created Oct 25 hardfork?
by

on 12/10/2017, 05:12:39 UTC
A small group of bitcoin developers and miners plan to complete a fork of the blockchain on October 25. That hard fork would create a new version of bitcoin called Bitcoin Gold. By November 1, the developers plan to open Bitcoin Gold trading on exchanges.
The goal of the project is the same goal as any bitcoin hard fork: to improve the protocol. Bitcoin Gold appears to be designed specifically to challenge Bitcoin Cash.

As far as a pure coin, Monero is still my favorite, despite what the haters will say. Which is that Monero has some pretty awesome technology that allows it to be fungible. If (when) the regulators decide to crack down on crypto, I think there will be a surge of money moving into the few currencies that offer anonymity, and of those I consider monero the best.I believe it will continue to slowly increase in value for many years to come, while many others will be pumped but will eventually fail. Re: How long bitcoin will survive ?
by

To survive and thrive over the long term, a cryptocurrency is going to have to be used as a medium of exchange by regular people buying regular things at regular stores. This means that transactions have to be confirmed quickly and that the fees involved have to be attractive versus PayPal and credit cards. If Bitcoin developers and miners don’t get that fact through their heads, and soon, cryptocurrency as such won’t die — but Bitcoin will cease to be people’s cryptocurrency of choice.

Re: Russia banning BTC?
by

Russia has said before that it would like to regulate the use of cryptocurrencies by Russian citizens and companies.
This move seems to be in line with the idea of government control over Bitcoin. The blocking of citizens from using Bitcoin exchanges puts all the control over citizens and their digital currencies in the hands of the government.

Re: Which hardware wallet 2017?

You can think of a wallet as your personal interface to the Bitcoin network, similar to how your online bank account is an interface to the regular monetary system.
Bitcoin wallets contain private keys; secret codes that allow you to spend your bitcoins. A hardware wallet is a physical electronic device, built for the sole purpose of securing bitcoins. I will suggest you some popular Hardware wallet :
BTC Hardware Wallet...
1. Ledger Nano S
2. KeepKey
3. Trezor

Satoshi Nakamoto, whose true identity is unknown.  It could be a person or a group.  Maybe the NSA.  We don't know.

Any type of trading is some form of gambling because it requires making predictions regarding probability.
The difference with trading digital assets like Bitcoin is that there is some potential inherent value of Bitcoin that may be undervalued or overvalued at any given time.

If you would like to become a Bitcoin and Blockchain expert, follow these steps:

Read up on Bitcoin and Blockchain Wikipedia articles.
Read a book on Bitcoin and Blockchain; I highly recommend “Bitcoin the Expert Guide” be me Thomas Meyers.
Buy a few bucks worth of bitcoin and play with it.
Every month, attend at least one local meetup or event on Bitcoin in your area and network with the community
Join a Bitcoin/Blockchain related project
If you’re looking to become a technical expert, then definitely look at the open source code and become a contributor to it.
If you’re looking to be a non-technical expert, become a writer or blogger on Bitcoin and Blockchain related topics.
Attend large annual Bitcoin and Blockchain conferences.
Repeat steps 3 through 6 for at least two years, and then you will be credible enough to be a Bitcoin and Blockchain expert.
Once an expert, you could do the following:

Start a consulting or software company on the Blockchain.
Write a book about  Bitcoin.
