Permanode is a full node with huge storage capacity to store entire network history securely and permanently, full data history before and after snapshot , basically hourly based snapshots of volume. this type of nodes becomes extremely costly as they get older and bigger. For the small network with limited data not very expensive in beginning. If you running your own physical servers then it would not be very costly only one-time server installation costs after then maintenance costs only.
Facebook, amazon, google and other internet giants running such nodes to secure their data permanently and provide services 24/7 without any interruptions.

You are right most of waves tokens are useless, but this one looks different, this project has 2 more tokens related to this project and they are not waves token. I bought 3itcoin/waves at 0.00000001 to 0.00000003waves, so far i am in profit since price now is 0.00000010wvaes per 3itcoin. I will exchange my 3itcoins to threeitcoins which is scrypt coin and i will keep it locally, in case good price in future then i will sell, at current rate 1billion 3itcoins can only cost 100waves, if threeitcoin has good value in future than huge profit can be seen. In crypto we only buy coins/tokens with hope, cause cryptos not backed by any assets they rely on markets to be valued. one years ago xp coin had no value it was 0.00005000doge per coin then last year december it was 0.00000033BTC per coin if you calculate over 400000x profit in one year. you never know which coin will rise and how much, can only buy with hope to sell for good profit. Hope this token pays good return in long term or short term.

I can see price of 3itcoin rising on wves dex. I think 0.00000010wave is good price for this coin, if project success price can go very high. at current rate 4 000 000 3itcoins for $1 is not bad, I will grab some more, who knows price may be sky in future also website launched, want to see further progress dev, and goodluck with your project.

This project was good and good support but never hits big exchanges, i wonder why?
Even 100 users had casted free votes for a month, this coins would have been listed on few exchanges and price may have been boomed up!
