Re: When will covid-19 disappear?
by

on 20/06/2020, 23:50:40 UTC
It probably won't disappear completely but the spread will go down. Like with the flu. Hopefully it doesn't mutate as often, and with the herd immunity it will pretty much contained until there's vaccine.

I think it's just a coincidence and not part of a trade war. Replicating things is like such a big part of the Chinese worker, that obviously some are going to replicate hundred dollar bills.

I don't thinking keeping the coins in the piggy bank is worth the effort of maintaining them or having them in the way. I don't even know of a grandma who would tell their grandchildren to keep quarters fore decades.

Re: Fiat Vs Cryptocurrency, which would you choose?
by

I really like crypto, but at this point is someone where to give me a million dollars, it would just be more convenient to get cash.

We're still in the early stages.
Yes. Crypto has still a big room to grow so it will still developed more in the next years to come. If i were to chose, i prefer them both. I need them both because i need fiat at the moment and crypto for my future investments and make profits intended for my retirement days.

Thinking about it I might just take the million dollars in Bitcoin. Chances are that it will go up in value. Though with the fiat I might be able to buy it, buying a million dollars worth might be very difficult.

And then your funds will get confiscated by the government. They will ask for explanation. You will be facing lots of trouble when trying to bank your cash or transfer them anywhere. You will see that you will be paying the government more than what you will be spending. If I were you, I would prefer taking bitcoin or any other crypto currency, rather than accepting fiat currency. Just take it and leave for a country that is more crypto friendly!

Well this is all assuming that I got the million dollars in some sort of legal way. Then I wouldn't have such problems with the government.

I think Trump is basically against evil entities such as JP Morgan using it for illegal things. Particularly screwing the citizens. In ways that they don't have the ability to prevent.

Re: Will China win Canada
by

on 03/07/2019, 03:59:31 UTC
There has been tension between China and Canada since the arrest of one of the key prodigies of Huawei in Canada. Recently, China rejected a meat imported from Canada because according to China the meat contain chemical which has been banned internationally. Should tension still keep on rising, which of these countries will suffer most?

if china stops importing meat from canada they should at least be honest and not invent chemicals, to insult the industry of another country.

It hasn't been disputed by Canada. In fact Canada found that the meat being sent had counterfeit certificates. And the farmers affected are not raising hell against China, but rather saying that the people who counterfeited the certificates should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

So will you have your own VPN service, or use another company's VPN service. If so, what will make one so sure that the government can't infiltrate such a company? I mean it sounds like an eventual given.

It sounds like the current system is heavily flawed and easily manipulable. If the economy is stimulated by people taking out loans, then it sounds like it can burst at any moment.

Never go all in on one coin, even if it's Eth. Having said that you lost quite a bit buying it at over $500, but compared to most other coins going all in Eth wasn't such a bad thing. If I were you, I would be buying other alts since they are currently at a discount.

by

on 15/08/2018, 05:21:19 UTC
I don't think it's possible. Not for a while at least. A few days ago Bitcoin went up to 8k, everyone was excited, and then it went I think even under $6000 yesterday. That's very scary and it's happening over and over again. There's just too much fear and people will dump if it goes anywhere near $25,000. Hope I'm wrong.

The coin has been on cmc for a couple of weeks right now and it seems to be doing pretty good compared to the rest of the market. I was expecting to see an older coin where the price is like 10% of what it was.

You have to make your own determination on whether something is a scam or not, and not create a thread based on speculation that took life in your own head and nothing else. That's irresponsible, specially for those who did invest.

Re: Is it right to kill a violent burglar?
by

⭐ Merited by RodeoX (1)
That's part of the risk a burglar has to take and ACCEPT when they decided to take people's stuff in their own home. And if they have an accomplice that lived, he should be charged with murder, because they both set the wheels in motion that led to the criminal's death. And makes you wonder about the burglar's family, where they can't comprehend why the homeowner would kill their precious boy, and that the home owner should be in jail, as if the burglar was just a regular citizen, walking home from church and was randomly attacked by a stranger.

Did you save it on your computer and mistakenly delete it? If so unplug your computer as soon as possible and take out it's hard drive. Then buy undelete software, install it on another computer, attached the hard drive and run it there. Hopefully the private key was not overwritten by new files after you deleted it.

Re: Does crypto bring more risk than benefit?
by

on 26/07/2018, 22:36:51 UTC
I think it's fair to warn their citizens that this is not simply easy money. That you can basically lose it all. My level of understanding of crypto is so much clearer than it was 6 months after I started, and much more clearer two months later, and so on, to when I think back and consider myself ignorant. There's still so much to understand, and without that true understanding one will be prone to make really bad mistakes.

guys and girls, please remember when you retweet, do it without commenting also. Otherwise you will be disqualified from that weeks AD. I have seen so many members miss out due to this.

Any particular reason why it gets disqualified? Is technical or they just don't want us commenting on them?

I'm outraged. A thread that I posted in was deleted. That's why it's important to be as active as you can.
It is indeed important to be active in this forum. And oh, one more note, it is very important to choose the thread where you'll put your words into. Make sure that that thread is not some generic one that will be deleted by the mod in the very near future because you'll be wasting your time posting on it and you'll feel the same feeling that you felt when you found out that it has been removed. Post on the more sensible threads and you'll be good to go.  Wink

I'm definitely careful where I post. For example I never go to politics and society, because so many threads there get deleted and I wouldn't want to take a chance there.

Of course the Off-Topic section, but of course that doesn't count.
