Re: New gold-backed cryptocurrency INNcoin allows you to mine gold for free
by

I spoke with somebody at Anthem Vault and got some info. He wasn't a dev, just a spokesperson I think. I was told they've had articles in 13 different languages written about INNcoin, people calling up asking how they can sell their Bitcoin for a gold-backed cryptocurrency, etc, and that the response has been great. He went on to say that this coin is more of a promotional coin, like others suggested, and that they will eventually release a new coin that is backed by much, much more gold, and their goal is to eventually have ATMs around the world where you can convert your coins to...(not sure). They are working on setting up their own pool for this coin, but it won't be ready for a few weeks or so. They think there is a giant mining rig using an estimated $7k of electricity per day, mining 21% of all INNcoin at this time... but they will only support their wallet and pool... and this is why they haven't released the github. They said the ledger has already been released.

http://4thjulycoin.com/

Does that mean we should wait for the new coin backed by large amounts of Gold, or is there a chance that this coin can gain value exponentially greater than the gold backing it?

Yep, X13 is back to <50% LTC, pool has been disabled again for now...

Hi. New miner here. I'm loving the pool so far. I was just going to keep mine on X11. Does it ever get disabled, and if so how will we know, on our stat pages or in sgminer?

I have a single R9 290X. Should I be mining X11 or X13 right now, or is it too hard to predict?

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 sgminer -k darkcoin -o http://elitter.net:7903 -u Xqtkkpugx3voWqFrwrUF8op6xbwLAJo1zX -p p -o http://q30.qhor.net:7903 -u Xqtkkpugx3voWqFrwrUF8op6xbwLAJo1zX -p p -I 13 --balance

Ok I've made the change but now when I run GPU Coin Miner the black cmd box does not appear, wtf.

Check your syntax carefully!

Case in point!
See how helpful he was? [cough!]

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
sgminer -k darkcoin -o http://elitter.net:7903 -u Xqtkkpugx3voWqFrwrUF8op6xbwLAJo1zX -p x -I 13 --balance

I think that might work, but I'm not an expert. If it doesn't, try removing the  "--balance" part, I don't know what that does.
There's also a miner out there that uses "-k x11mod" that is faster. (Shhh! Don't tell anybody! We don't want them to know they are getting screwed! Smiley )

I appreciate the help man! I do, I'm just tired. I know there are great people here that try to help. I'll give it a shot in the morning. One last hope.

Check your syntax carefully!

I understand what you're saying, like maybe I have a typo, correct?

At this point my brain is so shaken up from trying to figure out how to mine crypto, each coin having unique requirements and me failing hard, I should just give up.

Your average person will never get into crypto when everything is so discombobulated. This isn't a dis on dark, this is a dis on all cryptocurrencies.

EDIT: I re-downloaded various shit, checked file paths, verified sanity, computed shatter to vape, calmed down, became flabbergasted again, and eventually ran Simple GPU Miner again and the magical dos cmd "black box" appeared once again. I have (had?) an IQ of 85, but maybe now 55, as cryptocurrency has killed me brain.

You want next bitcoin?

Simple.

Create a coin that anyone can use, anyone can mine, and most users don't have to enter support requests or ask complicated questions. I have a feeling Bitcoin will figure this out before some miracle-altcoin-dev.

On windows I think you use 'setx', stick these at the beginning of the batch file you use to launch the miner:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

Should I edit C:\Program Files (x86)\Miner\Simple GPU Miner\sgminer ?

Currently, C:\Program Files (x86)\Miner\Simple GPU Miner\sgminer has start.bat as:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 sgminer -k darkcoin -o http://elitter.net:7903 -u Xqtkkpugx3voWqFrwrUF8op6xbwLAJo1zX -p p -o http://q30.qhor.net:7903 -u Xqtkkpugx3voWqFrwrUF8op6xbwLAJo1zX -p p -I 13 --balance

... although my wallet address is XhBQPDWwqR4opAXtsuu7fYLXGhLotgnV8J

Should I change the .bat to reflect my correct wallet address?

YES. Otherwise anyhing you mine will go to someone else's wallet!

Ok I've made the change but now when I run GPU Coin Miner the black cmd box does not appear, wtf. My start.bat is currently this: setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 sgminer -k darkcoin -o http://elitter.net:7903 -u XhBQPDWwqR4opAXtsuu7fYLXGhLotgnV8J -p p -o http://q30.qhor.net:7903 -u XhBQPDWwqR4opAXtsuu7fYLXGhLotgnV8J -p p -I 13 --balance

Did I put my wallet address in there one too many times? How do I fix?

Technically the 9.11.6/10.11.6 builds are not official as they haven't been merged into the the project's code base yet.  As soon as that happens we'll get all of the websites and the OP updated.

Thanks for the heads up. Can you tell me if this is legit? I'm GPU mining using the guide found here: http://www.reviewoutlaw.com/how-to-mine-darkcoin-gui-friendly-simple-way-mining-dark-coin/ but am getting these errors when the cmd window first pops up: "WARNING: GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT is not specified!" ... and...  "WARNING: USE_SYNC_OBJECTS is not specified!" It says ~1.4 Mh/s, which has been increasing ( MSI Gaming R9 290X). I just want to make sure I'm not getting ripped off or running inefficiently, as I'm new to mining, new to dark, etc. Here's a screenshot of the complete picture: http://imgur.com/ST7csra

GPU is only at 68 degrees Celcius so maybe I need to Allocate more GPU? If so, is there a .conf or .bat file I need to adjust somewhere?

Again, I'm a noob, so I could be doing something real stupid here!

IGNORE, I'm good to go.

need some quick help - Just getting started with dark- Installed v0.10.11.5-unk-beta, created "darkcoin.conf" in correct location, added exactly this and nothing else to it and saved it as all programs:

addnode=54.186.169.204:9999
addnode=218.173.65.159:9999
addnode=87.121.52.39:9999

addnode=188.226.252.28:9999
addnode=5.144.69.107:9999

No sync, 0 active connections. What am I missing?

EDIT: Same thing with stable release. Can I get proper conf file name and contents please? Not sure why this isn't on the darkcoin.io or first post for new users. Thanks.

EDIT 2:

changed conf file to:

rpcuser=
rpcpassword=
rpcallowip=*
rpcconnect=*
DNSSEED=1
testnet=0
rpcport=9999
addnode=54.186.169.204:9999

Yes it's in sync. Everything seems to be OK.

Please post the name of your conf file and the contents inside. Thanks.

sorry for the late replay:
C:\Program Files (x86)\AxioCoin Client\AxioCoin.conf

server=1
listen=1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=x
rpcpassword=x
rpcport=31223
addnode=209.222.30.145
addnode=208.93.207.20
addnode=208.93.206.80
addnode=71.196.25.168
addnode=95.85.2.203

No worries, thank you for the response!

Now this is where my inner-noob shines - I thought the conf file had to be in Users>Me>Appdata>Roaming>AxioCoin, so that's where I created it. I just checked my file path of what you just posted and I have an AxioCoin conf file in that location (C:\Program Files (x86)\AxioCoin Client), but rpcuser=user + rpcpassword=pass instead of your "x" + "x". lol, no idea if this means anything but I changed it then ran "Launch AxioCoin" as admin, opened the wallet... still no sync.

I once looked for my car keys for 20 minutes when they were in my hand the whole time, so I may be missing something so trivial and stupidly simple.

server=1
listen=1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass

IMO you should drop the "coins/new" from your link when you post to a public forum, and save that for PMing Devs.

Update: Never received 1st payment of 110 coins or 5th payment of about 150, yet payments 2, 3, and 4 went through OK (410 AXIO) but are unconfirmed due to wallet being out of sync. Stopped mining for now until (if) my confidence is renewed. Dev may be behind the scenes working magic, but needs to spend more time here answering questions. The coin may be dead, but I'm a noob and am still holding out hope (just not mining).
