Unfortunately some people are trying to take advantage of our free BTC offer.  A new rule establishing that the offer is only valid once per IP has been established.  Additionally, some withdrawals may require manual intervention to proceed.  Please see the first post in this thread for clarification.

Good luck!

Oh, alright I understand now, I was confused when you said,
"0.00000001 is 0.0001% of the maximum bet, so you won 0.0001% of the jackpot which came out to be about BTC0.0001.  I set your balance to an even BTC0.009 which was a little above that payout."

The balance on that account was something like 0.008998 or something like that, 0.009 was just easier and close enough.  Sorry I confused you!

http://gyazo.com/4925bd77df50d5f87bf0a2d82385e29e

4th jackpot so far! Pretty sure they're not paying out but whatever, only 1 satoshi bets anyways. A fix would be nice.

EDIT: 5 jackpots and i'm definitely not receiving anything from them.

yeah, I've gotten like 3 and only received the one that got credited to me lol

EDIT: and another http://i.imgur.com/NgAbnml.png

EDIT2:andd another one. Still no credits.

EDIT3: yet another. Sad

It looks like they are paying out, see:

Code:
id alias serverHash serverSecret userSeed outcome_1 outcome_2 outcome_3 outcome_4 outcome_5 bet return0 created
9398 Mooshire 9786954b4b5039a75dba58597318e00c0c69c0eaa5ae492464... [2,0,2,2,3,1,2,0,1,1,1,3,3,1,2,3,1,2,1,0,0,1,2,0,2... 22c23266e9d72d4ae04121e2cc4a945034ae7c01e1eb1d92f5... 1 1 1 1 1 1 100 2013-08-04 18:24:04

The calculation is as such:
(bet / maxBet) * jackpot = winnings
So (1/1000000) * 100000000 = 100, which is what's listed under the return0 column.  Now whether it actually is adjusting your balance or not, I'm not sure.  Try to pay extra attention the next time it happens, a 100 satoshi change may be hard to see.  I'll have our developer look in to it right away.

Edit: He's confirmed that it is indeed paying out.  If there's some special circumstance that I could have him test, please let me know, but for now it seems like it is working as intended, except for the graphical glitch on the last pair.

Are you going to do a current leader-board for the competition? Tongue

The leaderboard is currently sorted by bets.

Just won 500x my bet.
Sweet
Won 500x with promotional free-roll, won 30x three times with the winnings, just withdrew .7 BTC without depositing once.

Good site.
I'm gonna go play the powerball.

Congratulations!  We hope to see you playing again soon Smiley

Additionally, the site is down for a few moments.  Sorry for the rough start!

EDIT: Refreshed, apparently, winning the jackpot drains your balance. Like, completely.

Your balance is corrected, and hopefully (again, fingers crossed) the jackpot thing is fixed this time.

As for the recent slowness, someone was running a web vulnerability scanner on the site.  It seems like he's done now.

This is the entry from our database:

Code:
id alias serverHash serverSecret userSeed outcome_1 outcome_2 outcome_3 outcome_4 outcome_5 bet return0 created
3513 Mooshire 08977d8b07c80b49034a5d57d55d3b537f1035ca9e451762b8... [3,1,1,0,2,3,2,0,0,2,1,0,0,1,3,0,0,2,0,2,3,1,1,3,3... 93bf8732a023f65b6752ae14d6443445ffd0e1a93a90fdf199... 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 2013-08-04 15:42:57

This indicates that you did indeed win the jackpot.  Your balance has been increased to reflect the win you should have received.  I'm sorry that happened and I'll be sure to have our developer figure out why it did.

I appreciate your help. Does this mean I won 1.someodd BTC? My balance hasn't changed if that's the case.

Not quite, the jackpot pays out pays out based on the percentage of the maximum bet, as discussed here:

Quote
How does the jackpot work?
1.5% of every losing bet is paid in to the progressive jackpot.  It is won by flipping 5 heads or tails in a row.  The wager amount is taken in to account when determining the payout, such that a wager equal to the game's maximum bet will win 100% of the jackpot, and a wager equal to 1% of the game's maximum bet will win 1% of the jackpot.  The jackpot will be reset to BTC1 if it ever drops below that level.

0.00000001 is 0.0001% of the maximum bet, so you won 0.0001% of the jackpot which came out to be about BTC0.0001.  I set your balance to an even BTC0.009 which was a little above that payout.

Can either of you post the bet id's of those bets or around them?

I haven't refreshed yet, but this is the info on the bottom

[edit: yeah, after refresh it was all lost too, no betID found either]

From our database:

There certainly seems to be a problem with the jackpots.  Your account will be credited with the appropriate amount for this win, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

In response to some questions we've received:

What are the odds and house edge?

Code:
Game Chance Payout HE
1 50% 1.98x 1%
2 3.125% 31.68x 1%
3 0.1953125% 506.88x 1%
4 0.1953125%

We are aware the the site claims payouts of 1.98x, 30x, and 500x, but we've chosen to use simple numbers for aesthetic reasons.

The maximum bet is pretty low.
The Bitcoin gaming community demands a much lower house edge than traditional gaming establishments, so operators and investors are exposed to significantly more risk.  To keep ourselves from going bankrupt, we've decided to keep our maximum win equal to 1% of our current holdings.  As we receive more investments and the site profits, we'll be able to offer higher wagers.  Investment opportunities will be available built in to the site starting a few days before our Grand Opening event, scheduled for early-mid September.  Of course any potential investors are more than welcome to contact us at info@coinsp.in.

We hope to see everyone enjoy our new game!

Good luck,
The coinsp.in team

Hello all!

About a month ago we introduced a new game in the the Bitcoin gambling community, and we're happy to announce that it's almost ready for prime time.

We invite everyone to come on over to http://coinsp.in, register an account, and start playing.  All new registrations during this promotional period start out with BTC0.0001 to try out the game.  Additionally, whoever logs the most bets between now and 12 August at midnight Eastern time will win BTC1.

Deposits and withdraws are working as well, so this is all for real BTC.

Good luck!
The coinsp.in team

Edit 4 August 2013 @ 20:10 Eastern:

Unfortunately some folks are trying to take advantage of our free BTC offer by continuously creating multiple accounts.  From this point forward, the offer is only valid once per IP.

Damn, so this site won't launch? I would really have liked to bet real BTC's here.

Hi Boelens,

We will launch, we just want to rework it a bit.

I'll give a bit of a recap of why we came to this decision.  First, players were having a hard time with the progressive betting system, meaning that they'd win the first round only to very often lose subsequent bets and then quickly lose their entire balance.  This sounds like a great thing for us, and it is in some regards, but as a new startup we're more concerned with longevity.  We do attribute people being loose with their balance to the fact that it was play money, but we still felt like the game could be a little more fun if we change a few things around.  We were also unable to determine a practical and fair way of limiting the maximum return on a bet to a comfortable level for us without making the maximum bet too low.  So to address these issues, we intend to limit the game to three rounds of betting, with each round having the potential to pay out.  We're aiming for a launch date somewhere around the middle of August to make these changes and fix other more technical issues that were discovered during this trial period.

I hope that clears up any questions, and we look forward to seeing you when we open.

Best of luck,
The coinsp.in Team

A quick update, i3lome is the winner of this promotion and will be paid as soon as he responds to us with a bitcoin address to send funds to.

TheShape's account was created after we ended our promotion, but in recognition of him winning the most difficult bet on the site, he was paid a consolation prize of BTC0.1.  The transaction can be viewed here: 0e5b3b458a93889d098d6294246f352a28877f938aff8616db1f5d6f7e1bc9ef.

Can you provide us with the EV / house edge for this game and the different options? Like obviously you pay 1.98x on a 50/50 bet but what is the house edge or EV in the long run for the 30x / 500x and JP payouts?

I can, and your question helped to uncover a serious issue, so thank you.  Here are the current numbers:
Code:
Game Chance Payout HE
1 50% 1.98x 1%
2 3.125% 30x 6.25%
3 0.1953125% 500x 2.34375%
4 0.1953125%

They're not so good.  It looks like we decided to go with pretty numbers instead of mathematically sensible numbers.  So to fix this situation, we're going to change to a new chart:

Code:
Game Chance Payout HE
1 50% 1.98x 1%
2 3.125% 31.68x 1%
3 0.1953125% 506.88x 1%
4 0.1953125%

These changes will be active at the time of this post.

Additionally, any balances that are less than BTC1 will be reset, but in hopes of remaining fair to current players that are ahead, 1 of their 5 rebuys will be used up by this reset.

Another thing that I actually discovered this morning myself is that the Jackpot scales based on how much you bet.  So if you bet the max bet, and you win the jackpot, you get 100% of it, but if you're only betting half of the max bet, you'd only win 50% of the jackpot.

After losing my entire balance, I have decided that it's an unwise idea to play this game Cheesy

We want you back!  Your account is among the ones being reset, so at least we hope you play again Smiley

The popup box says Your bet is invalid, valid bets are ฿0.00000001 to ฿10000000.
But when you enter anything above 0.1 it tells you it's too much.

This error has been fixed, thank you for pointing it out.  Smiley
