Unconfirmed Bitcoin Transactions for 48 hours already!!!
by

I sent Bitcoin transactions two days ago, nearly 48 hours ago. So far they still show as "Unconfirmed transaction". I set the fee as 8 satoshis per byte, with the total cost to be 0.0000081 BTC. According to this site https://bitcoinfees.earn.com it should take between 25 mins to 480 minutes (8 hours) to be confirmed at 8 satoshis per byte. From their graph there's 2,433 transactions in the last 24 hours with that same fee. What to do and why hasn't it been confirmed yet?

b. Use a 2FA app that allows you to backup your 2FA accounts (Authenticator Plus, andOTP, etc...).
Authy is another good one that  allows backups.

Read the help documentation and did a few searches, I couldn't find any info on this.

I've noticed my activity counter is not going past 126, is this an expected result?

Cheers.
Well, your activity has sure increased. It's at 462 right now Wink

Take a read of this thread first:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0

More specifically:
How is forum activity calculated?
Activity is calculated with the following formula:
Code:
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is increased by staying logged in or by posting and is updated every 30 minutes. There is a maximum of 14 activity points every 2 weeks.
We would like to credit everyone who has been linked inside this thread. Thanks a lot for the hard work. If you see any mistakes or have a suggestion, please message me or Mitchell and we will look into it.

I like to use a paper wallet.they sell on Ebay for $5 a creditcard like cold storage wallet.the private key is never used online untill your ready to spend.I just use it for coins I will hold long term.
errr... You mean someone else has had 'your' private key? And then you're putting money in an account that someone else has had (still has) access too...? Sure nothing could go wrong there O.o

Lol yeah I don't think that Ebay paper wallet thing is a good idea at all.

I don't think there's a way to automate a sell of BTG and if so, you would already need to have your Bitcoin on the exchange. Do you have it on there?

Is it 100% cancelled? Because yesterday on their website it says that it's still going ahead by the minority of people involved.

Absolutely not! BTC is a deflationary currency with a max supply of 21million coins.

Banks will never disappear. You really need some seriously deep thinking and (hopefully) you're smart enough to come to that answer yourself.

Re: Social Experiment on Bitcoin
by

I just watched a video on my social media about guys running a social experiment about Bitcoin in their country (USA), and they questioned strangers that they chose, this "Would you rather have 1 Bitcoin or 1 dollar?" and almost all of the people they questioned chose 1 dollar. Only 1 person in all the person they interviewed chose 1 bitcoin. This just proves that there still a lot of us who don't have a clue about digital currency. If I would do this in my country, I'm sure that no one will choose bitcoin over our local currency. What about in your country if you run this social experiment?
The average Yank ain't the smartest type of person in the world. Can't be too surprised by their answer  Smiley

So if anyone could help me by sharing why you initially bought bitcoin, how you use it (investment purposes or for everyday use), and anything else of that nature.

Thank you so much in advance!!

Re: Whats happens if phone breaks for 2FA?
by
coinspam
on 27/10/2017, 13:48:17 UTC
Hello friends,

I have recently enabled 2 factor authentication using google authenticator for different exchanges such as coinbase, kraken and some more applications.

My question is, what happens if my phone breaks or get lost?  In my new phone if i install google authenticator with same phone number, will it automatically get backed up?

if not, what option will I have if phone is lost or broken?

Thanks  Smiley

You should have received a backup code in the form of a QR-code, or a  seed, see

https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/2817262,
https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/2488794-troubleshooting-2-factor-authentication,

I'm using coinbase here as an example, as im imagining Kraken & Bittrex will all be very similar to this.

Thanks for reply. So basically Google won't backup the authenticator applications?  is there no option?
Nope, you will be fucked if you didn't backup your backup codes from those sites.
