What made you to conclude that the Ledger Nano S we are giving away is second hand?
It is brand-new, sealed and untouched and if the winner asks then we can order and ship it directly from official Ledger website. Feel free to ask more questions Smiley

I think what he was trying to imply is that a hardware from a third party seller or distributor is not advisable. There have been recent issues of fake hardware wallets in circulation from third-party partners so it was advised that people acquire the hardware wallets directly from the original distributors.
Here is one of the recent so many circulating stories “Startling” discovery of Trezor’s fake wallets massive sale: precedents, victims and security tips

I would advise you if it were possible, in order to win back trust, use crypto which is equivalent in pcrice as the prize,  Either BTC, ETH or USDT put it in escrow and then run the competition. I think it would be better.
You have a good point but now since we have announced it, we can't withdraw the giveaway. We will keep this in mind next time while doing a giveaway.

Second hand hardware wallets are generally a bad idea. There was a well publicized case at the start of this year of a reddit user who used a second hand device that had been pre-initialized and had all their coins stolen, and this is not the only example. You can read about it here: https://www.ledger.fr/2018/01/12/scam-second-hand-ledger-device/

For the sake of $99, it's not worth the risk of losing all your coins. If you are using a second hand Ledger, then first make sure it is a genuine device by following the instructions here: https://support.ledgerwallet.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002481534-Check-if-device-is-genuine. Ensure you update to the latest firmware, and always initialize the device yourself and write down your own seed.

I'm not saying this is a scam, just that many people have been scammed by second hand devices before. Be careful.

0.5% fees. I think that's the maximum fee I have seen ever in all the exchanges whether decentralised  or otherwise. Plus no assurances that our crypto won't get lost since there is no account. How would one claim that his coins are missing?
Sorry for the delayed response. Our fees are not high, if you compare us with our direct competitors then you will find that we provide better rates in 99% of cases. The easiest way to compare the exchange rates of major coins is through this link - https://coinwale.com/#compare

Do you have plans to support ERC20 tokens in the future or are you sticking with only the coins you posted here?

Adding a new coin depends on what community asks for. If there are more and more users asking for a coin then we will add it.

Which coin do you want us to add?

If you're using Nexchange API, how will you add new coins?
We are in touch with Nexchange team and they are committed towards adding a new coin that community demands for. If you suggest any coin to us, we will discuss it with the core team at Nexchange.

What is the difference between your exchage and Nexchange itself? Your website is basically a Nexchange clone but with a different color scheme (with same rates, same fee and same "real time rates");

You can even find a "Coinwale is Powered by Nexchange" text at the bottom of the page. So what's new?
No major difference, you can exchange from any of the platforms.

An in-detailed answer will be added to our FAQ soon.

I'm pretty sure that if you exchanged at CoinWale you're giving the owner of CoinWale referral commissions.
Which is completely alright. Good on you sir, and hope you continue doing honest business
We want to be transparent and fair. Yes, we use Nexchange API and it's already mentioned on our website everywhere - About us, FAQ, Footer. We get 50% of fees that you pay i.e. 0.25%

It does not matter where you trades, exchange rates are same on both website's.

We would love to answer more of your questions guys & if you make a trade please do write a review here so other users can benefit from it.

Is this your site or you acting as agent.  Why are you using an referral to this site ?
Your doubt is in regards to ?ref=bitcointalkin at the end of url in first post? If yes, then we are just tracking how many visits we are getting from this page.

without any regulations how do you expect people to just trust you and start trading on your exchange .  What is the assurance that our money will not get swindled .

If you are not able to answer this .. Red Flags are going to get raised on this site of yours.
Honestly, we are a BRAND NEW service. It will take time to become a trusted and reliable member of this community. As with any crypto service, start small. Just try a very small transaction to see how the system behaves. It's a fully functional system, so you'll immediately get the feeling of that.
