Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] WCX – Low-Cost Crypto Exchange built by Apple & Wall St team

Have any of you seen the financials of a typical exchange? It's going to cost these guys about $250k per month if they're going to run a serious exchange.

Proof, source or just speculation? Until recent bitfinex wasn't even make $250K a month.

Sure, my source is the CTO of a major exchange.

I've also seen financials of other exchanges that had approached me for funding as an investor.

Does Beta changed to Alpha for Sept 1 launch? I'm sure i was signing for Beta earlier...

Yes beta was changed to Alpha. We named it Alpha since the exchange is stable and functional (a beta usually connotes instability).

Hmm.. I always thought Alpha came before Beta testing and connotes even more instability.

After reading that Alpha versions are more stable as Beta..... I am out of this, not investing a dime.

I'm also out, too many red flags.

Beta version being changed to an "Alpha" version to denote more stability... lol.

Hidden cap on the ICO - why hide the cap? The only reason to do this is because the cap is so high it would deter investors, or the cap doesn't actually exist at all.

Zero information about team members other than the "trusted escrow" - this leaves us with no information about their experience in running an exchange, what happens if this exchange gets hacked a month after going live because their tech team has minimal experience?

What about the business development side of their team? You need to have connections and be able to bring in large whales to provide liquidity for an exchange. Can this anonymous team do that? I understand they're going to pay the market maker a small fee, but as a whale, why would I trust the security of this particular exchange with millions of dollars?

How many people are on the team in total? What if these guys have 30 of their buddies on payroll, how are they going to make a profit?

Have any of you seen the financials of a typical exchange? It's going to cost these guys about $250k per month if they're going to run a serious exchange. I doubt they're going to be able to run a profitable exchange when their fees are 4x lower than every other exchange. They're just going to end up eating into the money they raise in this ICO in order to stay alive.

I would think carefully before dumping too much money into this ICO.

seems like we have good escrow name list here. hopefully you guys can reveal more who involving in this project.
transparency is better for all of us, it will give us investors to have some trust and good for yourself in business side.
i hope this will be long term investment for both parties.
please no something fishy behind us.

Can we get some info on the team behind this?

Who is your CTO? What kind of experience does he have running an exchange? How many people on the dev team?

How will you make sure your exchange does not get hacked? Security is the #1 issue for exchanges.

Any exchange whitepaper I've seen has this info. I'm very interested, but not having this info in your whitepaper makes me a little bit cautious.

2 million dollars is not bad for a community-donated fund!!!
This is huge so they got $2 million dollar I missed this project,so they are on their way to big things, very innovative coin no transaction fee the other coin with no transaction fee is mrai maybe in the future we could have more of this no transaction fee.

The community also donated 125 Ti to the Foundation, so the foundation has over $10 million worth of iota right now.

But this development fund is specifically designed to fund community projects and developers.

This is an interesting symptom that I notice within all communities on this board where upon there was very poor initial distribution (within the crypto community - i.e bct)

1. Devs - knowing the rest of the crypto community don't want to knowingly be charged 30x what a select few 2-300 (if it was even that many single investors it could be less for all you know) and that there is now a bad taste seek new investors less aware of the start.

2. Investors- knowing their fellow crypto enthusiasts are suspect of the initial distribution seek refuge away from the heat and state they will try to encourage distribution to the other 7 billion who they wish could have got tokens at the IPO.

If you'd like the other 7 billion to have fair opportunity then why not make a start with the other 10's of 1000's of other BCT members?

Why not do as LISK is doing... sig campaings, facebook campaigns twitter campaigns. I never saw any of these for IOTA or NXT actually.

I'm not saying LISK is better at all in terms of tech. I am simply saying it made a large effort to get it's ICO known and fair chance for everybody on the forum to get opportunity and choice. Same as etherium did. Etherium's  POW gives even further chance to

I think the start at this point could forever haunt the project as it has for DASH and for NXT. They at one point could have taken down LTC if their initial distribution had not forever been called into question.

I would wonder why it is these inflated prices can be asked? why did these people not buy in the ICO? nothing has changed ? the MS thing is fine same for emericoin but not as important as all that. The ICO was not made public enough. I see people here who live on this board saying in threads
" not sure how i missed it".  That's not good at all... at all.

A second ICO would be far more beneficial for all in the long term.

Sorry you never got that second ICO. What happened to lisk, btw?

Why would anyone care about a quantum-proof platform with zero fee transfers whose speed and scalability is directly proportional to the amount of traffic and DDOSpam?

I care, but seems no one can answer simple question how many IOTA is in Developer Fund.

I got the scoop, guys. 24 Ti donated by the community.

Also, Cryptohunter, you're still sour that you missed the ICO?

2 Million Dollars worth of IOTA or 2 Million Dollars directly in cash?

This is what I was about to ask, I think the OP should clarify this

Is probably in IOTA and now $2 millions at current price  when they sell to each other at x1000 of ICO price. They could also say there is 1 BTC in development found Tongue

I read that post. So how much of IOTA is exactly in the found?

Probably about 1% of all supply, so maybe 25 Ti

IOTA is the best DAG out right now. Zero transaction fees unlike ByteBall.

And they recently partnered with Ubuntu: https://insights.ubuntu.com/2017/02/20/iota-iot-revolutionized-with-a-ledger/

And Innogy: https://innovationhub.innogy.com/news-event/3lj6DX6LS0C4SyKmgEOiQq/meet-our-future-customers--machines-with-wallets

Is having no transaction fees like IOTA not innovative?

IOTA is THE most innovative coin to come out since bitcoin. Fully scalable DAG, becomes faster the more people use it, and no transaction fees

Try to get into IOTA before it hits exchanges.

It's a Directed Acyclic Graph, so it solves a lot of Bitcoin's problems in scalability. The more people that use it, the faster the system becomes, and there are no transaction fees!

Check out the announced foundation members: https://forum.iotatoken.com/t/current-revealed-foundation-members/1098

This is a serious project that will explode once it's listed on exchanges.

Only quantum-secure coins will survive once quantum computers are a reality.

Look into IOTA, as far as I know, it's the only quantum secure coin out there.

IOTA is the best altcoin to look into IMO.

Directed acyclic graph, no transaction fees, scalability such that transactions become faster the more people that use the system, and some VERY serious people on their foundation. It will skyrocket once it hits exchanges.

I will match donations up to 300 Gi for a community manager on the condition that the community manager communicates directly with the Foundation and provides updates and communication with the community in place of David.

This will allow David to focus on work 100% as well.
