Re: We are not the owners of this planet.

Humans may have totally over taken the planet earth but that doesn't means that we are the owners of this planet. Being the most intelligent species comes with responsibilities. We have urbanized this planet. n other words we have destroyed the home of many species. Biodiversity is way more important for our survival than we realize.  We should let other live if not for them but ourselves.

We did not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrowed it from our children. Everyone is responsible for everything that is taking place on our planet. So keep this in mind before taking any action and you will make this world a little better.

Re: Impact of drinking alcohol.

Hi guys. Just wanted to know whether drinking is good or bad for our health...first of all i drink every weekend because i feel refreshed after a heavy week of work..  After i drink i take a lot of food and have a nice sleep....I do not have any kind of headache or anything after drinking but will it affect me in the future.... My dad almost drinks everyday right from his childhood may b at the age of 18 but my dad is healthy and strong even after drinking so many years... Thanks to god for that....... Any way,  When it comes to your health, is it better to drink or not to drink?

Obviously, it is better not to drink. This is a coincidence and luck that your dad drinks every day and still stays healthy. Also, it is very bad that you have this feeling of "refreshing" after you drink on weekends.

Re: BURST vs STORJ

Hi,
Which one do you prefer to use for HDD mining? SJCX values in the Poloniex site seem to be more advantageous. But the Burst community is more active.

SS on Poloniex:
BURST: http://i64.tinypic.com/2087de0.png
STORJ: http://i66.tinypic.com/szued4.jpg

as I know Storj is quite a useless platform. Your HDD cannot fill up with data completely, and you won't be paid for this. And it's definitely not the right time to start up your business in Burst. The ROI will be so long and you cannot earn anymore because the coin practically mined up to the end. Maybe SIA will show us better abilities to live longer.

ETH is very good coin after BTC in history of cryptocurrency .i guess it will touch 1000$ in coming few months

it's quite hard to reach 1000$ for ether this year. it can hit 500 only if bitcoin comes 6300 according to any analytics.anyway, nobody can predict the thoughts of investors)

Re: Why invest in Litecoin

I've bought some and just want to know what do you think about the future of this coin.

Should I buy more?

Any price predictions for the future?

Lite isn't the right currency to invest. but it's totally best currency to fix income due to low volatility and stability of the price. Despite being "classic cryptocurrency" it won't be so known as btc.in my opinion lite is overpriced. in 2017 it's the right time to try out another technology and learn more.

Re: Would you give bitcoin as a wedding gift?

Some tech-savvy wedding-goers are gifting the digital currency to new couples. Honeyfund, a honeymoon registry that allows guests to give cash rather than gifts, has seen more than a dozen customers donate in bitcoin, said chief executive officer and co-founder Sara Margulis. In recent years, more than a dozen customers have chosen to route donations to the site from bitcoin wallets. Zola, a wedding registry website, has had just two cash funds created for bitcoins since 2013, a spokeswoman said. "I would expect it to pop more as millennials come into the wedding age,” Honeyfund’s Margulis said. “It’s something you will do if your friends and family are already into bitcoin.

Bitcoin as an retirement plan, bitcoin to secure the future of your kids, and now bitcoin as a wedding gift. Whether or not bitcoin replaces cash in future, it looks like the trend of gifting bitcoin instead of cash at weddings is definitely going to catch up and more wedding registeries would be adding bitcoin as a gifting option.

Avoid using a wedding gift "as an opportunity to proselytize a technology you personally believe in, but the recipient could not care less about."

People who are not into bitcoin might not appreciate getting a volatile currency as a gift, and might never use it, thus adding it to the list of lost coins, but I think people who are already using bitcoin or would most probably use it in future then bitcoin instead of cash is the apt wedding gift for them.

No, not yet. Because people haven't got used to crypto yet. But as I know bitcoin was a wedding gift on some Turkish wedding not far ago.

Re: What are you using bitcoins for?

The miners mine and hold, other mine and sell.

Investors and speculators buy, hold and sell.

You can buy random items in auctions and through the forums.

What are the reasons for the bulk of the bitcoin transfers? I read an article underlying the "dark side" of the internet and TOR network, and they seem to point out that bitcoins are now nearly the exclusive currency for the online "black market" (Note, they are not saying bitcoins are exclusively used for black market transactions)

What have you used bitcoins for?

Miner
Investor
Black Market
Other - explain

It depends probably on the place you live. In some countries you can rent a room in the hotel, buy stuff in the mall, pay in an Aquapark and even buy a coffee. It's all about the time only.

Re: Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens?
by
colivingclub
on 28/09/2017, 06:16:44 UTC
Bitcoin is usually used by people interested in technology. I mean, persons with a certain technical knowledge are interested in bitcoin.

My observations are that way. I think Bitcoin needs to reach larger quantities. Can use bitcoin in people who are not interested in technology?
Can people use the bitcoin in the profession group like tradesmen, teachers, housewives, firemen, butchers? Are we going to see the days that these people use bitcoin?

Bitcoins are already used by ordinary people. That's not about only people with tech knowledge, but people who are looking to the fufure.

by

Have you ever watched any post apocalyptical movie? Global worlds chaos, that is what will happen. And this lies in mentality of people; there was always a leader, even in Prehistoric times. Most of us want to be led by a person that we trust, so we could focus on other things in our life. Don't believe the rumors, Anarchy is not the mother of order

What do you think will happen to the world without leaders like the President, Prime Ministers, King, Queen, etc.? I mean if we accused our leaders of being corrupt, oppressive and all other things, if they are not in the position, what will happen?

What exact society are you talking about? In some third world countries, women are still bullied for their gender and not respected in the same way as men are.

Do you think that men and woman are treated equally in society?
if not , what are the ways you suggest to promote equality among society ?

Re: Does heredity effect the brain?
by
colivingclub
on 22/09/2017, 14:33:20 UTC
The latest research in genetics show that there is no connection between heredity and brain capability.
The reason of the fact that you've mentioned hides in educational system. In USSR schools children were taught almost every single aspect of those times science without testing child’s predisposition. This could cause major psychological deviations, which were not counted at that time.
So yes, erudition and general knowledge of people from former Soviet Union can be higher, but there is nothing related to heredity.

Jews were considered and still are considered good with their brains.
Russians are too considered good with their brain, many successful american companies being the mastermind of Russian immigrants.
Now we're talking about Indian and Chinese scientist.

Does heredity have an effect on the brain?
