During all these years since the first Bitcoin transaction on January 3rd, 2009 the Bitcoin community fostered the image of Bitcoin as a new global currency.
However, as more and more people realize that Bitcoin might not be a great transactional currency, investors could also lose confidence in Bitcoin as an investment asset. Even though some observers have dubbed Bitcoin “Gold 2.0” one has to admit that Bitcoin is not ideally positioned as a pure investment coin.
Argentum NT was never positioned as a peer to peer money. From its beginnings it was designed purely as a digital asset.


Optimizations over Bitcoin


  • Total number of coins is approximately 22'500'000
  • Replacing the SHA256 hashing algorithm used in mining with the NeoScrypt algorithm
  • Implementation of the T3 difficulty adjustment algorithm to prevent massive swings in difficulty
  • Block adaptations
    • Initial block-reward of 0.1 new coin per block
    • On average, one block is mined per minute
    • Block halvings happen every 2'100'000 blocks, which is about every four years
    • Block maturation occurs after 100 confirmations


Difficulty adjustment algorithm

Bitcoin’s difficulty adjustment algorithm is executed only once every 2016 blocks. While this works sufficiently well for Bitcoin where the hashing power experiences only minor fluctuations relative to the total hashing power, this is a big issue for Altcoins where typically the total hashing power is low. A sudden increase in hashing power causes a high block rate leading to a much higher coin inflation than intended. A sudden drop in hashing power prolongs the time required to mine a new block by factors causing users to wait for transaction confirmations for an unexpected amount of time which lowers the user’s trust in such a system. Consequently, it’s crucial to select an algorithm that adjusts the mining difficulty with respect to the changing hashing power. The Argentum NT team implemented the T3 difficulty adjustment algorithm in C++ on top of Argentum NT Core to offer the solution to this problem.

Active development yes. Roadmap... off track. I guess we will need a new one.

There has not been any recent communication with Cryptopia. I think trading will be reopened at coinexchange.io sometime in the future, but we have not heard from them in a while.
Just not for USA miners or traders ....

Thank you i wish more miners did this =) I helps alot ,,,now if we could get a pool exe that makes a mining mpos pool with out having to code ,for all the new coins nvida can not solo mine do to --no-longpoll taken out of the miners by nvida dev compilers .... witch i think has to do with 3 of the miner dev compilers own pools and y would thy wont you to solo mine..  I do not know, In a pool i mine Timecoin on skein and get  a block ever 20 min if i solo mine i get 1 block ever 10 to 15 sec .......big difference .And i think that difference kills alot of coins ....polls tend to keep dif set at -f 1.0 and max like d=20 (I have try'd to tell them but they are to high and mighty to look in to it . Yes pool dev you know i am talking about you ,,,the one that did not like that my 10 @ 1080 ti was pushing 1th  when it shoud have been 5 gh/s and that christmass i gave out my code and 60 miners made the first time ever over $200 day mining )) lol when gpus can ezy hit 2.2e+9 with dif divider by like -f 300 and you get block left over right ...(this is not a config for any coin only
example but it woks on 64 coins i min on 15 algos so something is up .... ) Sorry for blaping on your post ...miners need to know this ....

That is nice but ,they do not serve USA people like 5 , exchanges and over 300 coins that we can not mine .........Sorry we can but for free .............I can crush this coin with 1 th/s speed but no exchange ...... ps this is for exchange to see and all the devs that start coins ,The USA miners are being segregated ...I have over 300 gigs of different wallets that are full but can do nothing with do to most being only on exchanges that hate USA people ,sorry about the new dude running crap i had nothing to do with that .I payed my tax on my first bit coin 15 years ago and will all was pay at that price 1 btc = $0.0009 is the tax i pay =P
