Usb miners that pay more than they consume in power

Hi guys

I am considering testing out mining.  I have read a lot of mixed views. Many say you will never earn enough to pay for the power that is used. Some say differently.

I do not want to spend a thousand plus just to test and have some fun. So if I want to play and see, is there a guide for a raspberry setup running 5+ USB keys?

What are the fastest USB keys for mining?

Any direction you can provide to get me started would be appreciated

Hi Guys

i was interested in maybe cloud mining and looked for monthly or a quarterly contact to limit the initial investment and to see if it generates a positive return.  However, cloud mining seems incredibly expensive if I understand things correctly.

Cloudhashers will give me 1 day of 35Ghash speed for $12.  That is very expensive as I would earn about $12 after 1 month of mining at 180 Ghash/s.

Bitcoin hashing sells 4month of 1gh/s for 4Bitcoins.  So I would need to earn more than 1coin a month at 1gh/s to make this a profitable envedour.

What am I missing or why is cloud mining popular?  Seems rather expensive compared to buying a UBS stick that gives you 2 Gh/s and putting that on your computer

Thank you for advice.  I will gladly go for that, but it seems to be unavailable.  Is that the best or would a 100 more make a difference in roi and daily coins?

Well I am new to this and not sure that this is really a profitable endeavor given recent crash in bitcoin, but I would invest 500 USD or so to see.  I was thinking about the  Hex Fury from ASIC which does 11 GH and is currently available. The bitmain look better but are all sold out and no prices are available.
So happy for advice on how to start a bit of fun and profitable mining for 500 or so.

GUIMiner on 560m GPU (Asus gamer laptop)

I just started the mining thing today.  I installed GUIMINER on my laptop which has i7 CPU, 16GB ram and a Asus 560M graphics card.

The laptop runs very hot and blows hot air out the back of the machine like crazy.  Although the cpu utilization is 20% or so, the machine is hot.  I wanted to check with others here what can be done to fix this or if that is just the fact of a laptop and that GPU?

I am getting 41 M/s hash  - is that good?   Considering that bitmine sells machines that get 1.2 G/s I am wondering if this is worth running on a 3 year old laptop?

Thank you for advising a newbie
