Blackarrow: for all those who use the option to pay 50% upfront
by

Hi, facts are:

1 No matter when we order or when paid, we are at the very end of the shipping list

2 it is difficult (or insane) for anyone to pay the remainder with the current market prices

so... what do you think is the BA's plan for us? wait until all orders are delivered and then lower the price?

My boxes are getting 45-49 degree C. and i hear cranky sound like sparks going off from the machine.. gosh.. is this even normal ? it was right beside me, and worried tht it might explode and burn

something is wrong there, these babies are very quite, check the fan and the power supply (if you use a hub with multiple power outlets try to plug it direct to the wall)

I see some people here eager to start legal actions etc... obviously these folks have never been involved in a lawsuit o something similar. Even if you win it is difficult to see a penny back. Unfortunately, buying a asic miner is not as easy as buying an iPad and Black Arrow do a lot of things horribly wrong but start legal actions must be the very last resort.

I don't know what you see, but what i see is a machine runs at 1.07 TH/sec i bought several X3's the should run at minimum 2.00 TH/sec...i did'nt see that, so who is talking about an X3???

the 3x is just two separate units of 1th (10 chips each)

at last! a full x3 module working.

We have the right to be angry and to demand a fair compensation/refund for the huge delays. But definitely this is not a scam case.

Power consumption numbers:

1200Mhz - 120-130gh - ~115-120w on my killawatt
1100Mhz - 112 - 118GH - ~107W
1000Mhz - 98 - 109GH - 98W

Have not tested 800 yet.

Under 1w/gh. Not bad. Not bad at all!

under 1w/gh AT THE WALL (not at chip level) is pretty awesome

I try Bfgminer and the latest version 4.4.0 of cgminer and my units run faster on cgminer (35.24 Gh/s one unit and 34.69 Gh/s another one).

About the temps. I found some info. If the unit reach 50 degrees (celsius) automatically it will drops the clock frequency to 200 MHz. If the unit reach 60º it will stop hashing as a protection mode.

Just install the new/proper driver, it should cancel out the old one as my PC did

That worked. I had this pointed out to me on another thread. Thanks!

For those who have the same problem, the updated driver is found at:

http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/pages/usbtouartbridgevcpdrivers.aspx

You bet, glad to help.

Just for the record, I tested the R-box to the maximum range of my know-how and couldn't get the USBtoUART Bridge driver to recognize it on my late-2012 Macbook Pro (running 10.9.2 Mavs)...

No matter which versions of bfgminer/cgminer I compiled, regardless of which specialized drivers I subbed in (even tried subbing and integrating drivers between bfgminer and cgminer), and irrespective of which parts of the codes I manually forked, the device wouldn't appear anywhere on the system, let alone in cgminer.  I've been mining with Bitmain's U2's on said Mac for weeks, so the UART bridge definitely works on Mavericks.

Now, I'm no coding whiz, but I know my way around a few different languages and at this point can read luke's code better than I'm able to read in Spanish (6 years academic).  However, the box works with remarkable ease on both my Lenovo Carbon X1 Thinkpad and Lenovo Yoga 2.

Are they just not programmed to interface with OSX?  Am I just doing the proverbial it wrong by trying to mine through a Mac?  The reason I ask is that after testing with the U2's it seemed to output more consistent overclock voltage to the chips (arranged in series via a Kanex 3.0 hub).  Granted, this doesn't matter, as the R-box uses a separate PSU, but still, it'd be nice to have at least one of my laptops for something other than mining room decor.

Definitely open to any comments/suggestions.  Like I said, I've got everything running on a Lenovo right now, but cross-system compatibility is always reassuring.

ok lets try.

only UART bridge driver installed and anything else
launch bfgminer and put your pool info
press m for manage devices and + for add a device
type: rockminer:\\.\COM41 (replace 41 with the port number of your device)

I think the so called backplane or some problems may be excuse...maybe they are mining bitcoins using our X3 hash modules .....

Yup, and money acquired from sold bitcoins goes to his account in Virgin Islands haha :-)

Haha bitfury has already filled all the boxes out there Cheesy maybe Yalta is a good tax haven now

Lol actually I'm serious. The manager of BA has actually invested in shares from company in Virgin Islands :-)

(He is living in Reading, England. 40 mins long train journey from London).

Virgin Islands? come on gents, there is nothing especial about it.

Almost all the people (individuals and business) with big money hold at least one company or trust in a tax heaven, including Hollywood stars, sportsmen etc... These companies are used for privacity and saving taxes for example buying and registering a new yacht, holding stocks, getting payments from financial assets, protect assets limiting the financial liability, etc...

Seller need to specify what is the base currency and refund should stick by it. tl;dr for previous posts.

For example, if the seller advertises the product as $250usd and accepts $250 in bitcoin @ that moment's exchange rates, when refund, if the buyer paid in btc, the buyer should get back $250usd worth of btc @ the current exchange rates.

Unless you are bitmain who sold S1 only with btc.

sorry but is not correct, one seller accept for example 250 usd or the EQUIVALENT in btc at that moment. In the other hand following the legal argument of the "refunds only in USD or is fraud" if you pay in btc legally is the same you pay in fresh air, no legal tender, etc... only the goodwill between the parts.

Blackarrow

at last some good news.

It's very cut and dried. Anything other than refunding denominated in dollars is fraud.

Really? In that case paying the order in bitcoins is also a fraud?

Dear Black Arrow.

X1
We all want to know what is your production capacity

X3
When you think that can show us a full working unit and the shipments/cloud hashing start

Compensation plan
With the extra delay and the "Frankenstein" Rasp Pi units out there we want something more

If we use the "pay the 50% in advance" option and don't want extra free compensation units can you simply send us the original order without paying the rest?

General
Please improve your communication, talk straight, don't hide nothing (like we have a surprise for you etc...) because in this way only feed the conspiracy theories and the angry against you

thanks
