I would invest in Ethereum, Edgeless (EDG) and Iconomi (ICN).

Let's take a look at Edgeless milestones. If we say that the Ether price was around 10 EUR when they were writing their Whitepaper, it looks like this:

  • Milestone 1: 50 000 ETH (around 500 000 EUR)
  • Milestone 2: 110 000 ETH (around 1 100 000 EUR)
  • Milestone 3: 190 000 ETH (around 1 900 000 EUR)
  • Milestone 4: 250 000 ETH (around 2 500 000 EUR)
  • Milestone 5: 360 000 ETH (around 3 600 000 EUR)

Given that the current price of ETH is around 50 EUR, and they have raised 56933.88 ETH, they effectively have 2,8 million EUR raised. So they reached Milestone 4  Smiley

You can see it in the website, they set the milestone in Ethereum as unit, not the fiat EURO as unit, so it is still milestone 1.

https://edgeless.io/en/crowdsale

Yes, but they said on this forum that after the ICO they will adjust the milestones based on the new ETH price. After all, they will have to pay out salaries and costs in EUR.

As far as I understand, the TaaS tokens will be issued on the Ethereum blockchain. Was the smartcontract created yet? I can't find it on the Etherscan... I?m not investing before the smart contract is created...

Edgeless has raised 56023.45 ETH so far. Considering the difference between ETH price when Edgeless team was writing their white paper and the current ETH price, we can say that the 2nd Milestone has been already reached. Congrats! Smiley

50k Eth few days ago was more than $ 1 million , today 55k Eth it is just $ 920k

It's okey. Once we released a white paper, couple of month ago. ETH price at that time was 8$. All our budget and final goal was calculated accordingly.

So if at the and of the crowdsale the price of the ETH is still higher than 8$, do you will recalculate the milestones goals according to the ETH price ?
Do you plan to hold the collected ETH or to sell them directly at the end of the ICO ? What's your strategy about that ?

Definitely we will adjust milestones to an ETH price after an ICO.

Does this mean that you'll convert your ETH to some more stable currency (like EUR) right after the ICO?

For anyone uncertain about whether to invest in Edgeless or not, here's a TLDR version of the crowdsale Wink https://cointldr.com/edgeless-crowdsale-report-05-03-2017

I invested , its the best ico now .
I disagree, peerplays is much better imo. They offer better returns for the investors. See: https://steemit.com/investing/@xwerk/peerplay-blockchain-primary-crowdfund-has-started-today-great-chance-for-investors-and-gamblers-alike
Edgeless keeps too much for themselfes and distributing the rest via a lottery seems very strange to me. This probably means that most of the investors will never see their investment back. If you are into gambling with the odds stacked against you, well then this may be for you. But it is a losing game.

I'm looking at PeerPlays website and white paper and I can't see anything about their team. Team is the most important aspect for me as an investor. I only invest in projects that are transparent about their team and that have team members with a great track record (finished projects, previous businesses, good advisors etc.). So PeerPlays is a "no go" for me.

Another option is advertising via PR and opinion leaders. PR agencies usually consist of ex-journalists and their role is to suggest possible article headlines and interviews to their journalist contacts. The best opinion leaders would probably be famous gambling personas who would openly support Edgeless (via Twitter etc.). Is the Edgeless team already doing any of this?

I have a question for the Edgeless team: What is your ICO marketing strategy?

I know you have a bounties program and you occasionally post on Medium and Twitter, but do you have any other marketing efforts? Like Facebook ads, Google ads etc.? What other marketing channels do you use to promote your ICO?

Interested in this as well.

Facebook ads & Google ads seems like out of the question for now as I have heard a member in the edgeless core team saying that Facebook and Google don't promote online casinos. So things are more depended on attracting gamblers by offering 0% edge games and by signature campaigns.

Interesting, never thought of this, but it's true, you can't advertise gambling on FB and Google.

I think affiliate marketing is strong in advertising gambling. Does Edgeless have any plan to use affiliate marketing?
