Best "bootleg" is right here: https://mega.nz/#!rIASVKIY!TzgknO0kL_tSAuSZVGOHP8XB32W6MQ3gfDdgQPrmZIE

I wonder what Horus asked to get edited out - maybe it was the comment about how Marshall Long (Their CTO) ruined their relationships with the banks and that's why Cryptsy Canada supposedly failed?
If I have time later, I'll go through the radio show again and make timestamp notes of interesting things.

Hey, Rick Stoner, I have a better idea. Destroy your copy of the video and sue everybody for uploading the original so that you yourself don't get sue by those who agreed to be on the broadcast... then hunt down James the Editor and cup his balls.

went back and looked at polonibox, Rick clarified that the things being removed are all comments about Paul Vernon's house, and a question about their communication methods. Said that "they were not relevant".

Horus interview with DogecoinDark and RickStoner. I do not claim any copyright on this recording, just doing it for archival purposes. My VLC process crashed at the end and I lost about 20 seconds but it was just rickstoner and horus stalling and looking for questions from listeners, nothing too interesting.

I fixed the link.

BTW, thanks, and if you have time can you pen a transcript in Nigerian for our brothers there can learn how not to conduct nefarious activities?  Grin

Not working for me... I click download through browser and nothing pops up... shows the file name though... do I need a mega account or? Any other locations for the file?
Try chromium or chrome.

or if you're using firefox, do this:
https://mega.nz/#firefox

I use current Firefox and don't need to install the browser plugin.
I get my Android firmware links form there and don't have any problems.
With Adblock Plus and flash disabled on most sites.. i also have never made an account at Mega ever.

Weird, glad to know it works now. Last time I used mega I was still on firefox and it didn't work without the plugin. That was a few months ago so things may have changed

Okay, RickStoner (the radio host) says he will be providing a recording, but just in case, I did my best to record the entire thing as well. Towards the end VLC crashed and I missed about 25 seconds, but from what I can tell there wasn't anything interesting in there, just horus and rickstoner looking for questions.

Recording is uploading to Mega now for anyone to download. All rights reserved to RickStoner/DogecoinDarkRadio and Horus, this is strictly for archival purposes. I'll warn you, it's over 2 hours and just about 1.7GB .wav. If anyone has suggestions for streaming it instead i'm open to that. I'll make another post when I have the recording uploaded.

EDIT: exporting in mp3 instead since apparently that's a lot smaller.

OMG, the host was terrible! He did not have an understanding of what "fractional reserve" means and the questions he was asking in that regard were a joke. I'm surprised Horus agreed to be interviewed by this guy and that he continued after some of the questions asked.

I get the impression that Horus is young and generally unexperienced in life. I imagine this situation is teaching him some valuable lessons.

Horus, if you do any further interviews paying attention instead of reading the IRC chat. If you decide to answer a question asked online verbally restate the question so the listening audience knows what you are answering. Make sure the person interviewing you has the appropriate knowledge to conduct a proper interview.

To be fair i don't think this host has ever done professional radio work. Horus was an absolute embarrassment, constantly getting distracted by IRC and not listening to Rick ask questions and needing them repeated two or more times.
Horus, my own advice if you want it from an internet stranger is to pick up a public speaking 101 book or take a course at the local community college before you do another interview. that was a total fucking mess.

You're port scanning Incapsula, which is basically a Anti-DDoS proxy for Cryptsy. Impossible to port scan Cryptsy now unless you find their hidden domain and they didn't firewall it off again. I can't find it now, but Gleb posted a while back about their internal network being exposed to the internet and it was indexed by shodan. The domain was provestnet.net, so feel free to check that out I guess. It's probably locked down now though.

Horus, when was the last time you spoke with Paul? Do you have any means of contacting him? Do we even know it was actually Paul E Vernon posting on that blog?

Paul is actually only with access to that blog ( that I know of )

Three simple questions seeking simple answers, yet the only one addressed was the one we least cared about. What are the odds?

Alright, Last time I spoke to Paul was asking when he was going to announce the second announcement he mentioned in the phishing blog post.

He said within a couple days.  Only means of contact I have with Paul is through skype. And I rarely get an answer there. I never really had to speak with him directly as my bosses could handle most of my issues.

Are you fucking kidding me? Skype? that's it? Not even his phone number or something? Do you guys not even have an internal chat server or something?

2014-07-29 18:55:43: https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/Cryptsy.com-old?page=1198

Only a retard thief would use a cherry picker to get the hard-to-reach fruit (coins in a cold wallet) but not touch the low-lying fruit (~133 BTC worth of bitcoins in a hot wallet), then not spend the loot for a year and a half even though no police report was filed, meanwhile Cryptsy continued to conduct business as usual as if a theft didn't occur, treating the incident like some pesky gnat buzzing around the office with hopes that cryptocurrency community members not banned from participating will opine a solution to rid the critter once and for all if a 1000 BTC reward is put on the table.

I wholeheartedly disagree. If they're smart, they just sat and watched Paul and Mullick's workflow and learned how they fill hot wallets with cold wallet funds, manage the servers, and isolate wallets from each other (if they do/did). If they saw an way to get access to the cold wallets, either by moving horizontally within the Cryptsy internal network to some server that controlled cold wallet funds, or by setting up a trojan for Paul to download from the servers and use it to steal cold wallet keys from his computer, than that payoff would obviously be much better than stealing a hot wallet. If we are to believe they have monitoring set up to make sure the funds don't suddenly disappear, which I think is reasonable even for Cryptsy, and the thief saw evidence of that, then they'd know to go for the jackpot (cold wallet) instead of stealing 133 BTC and immediately setting off alarms, shutting off further access.

Here's another idea, by the way. They obviously have to have another wallet set up on (presumably) another computer to send the cold wallet funds. What if Paul downloaded the Lucky7Coin wallet there, either for personal use or for making a cold wallet for it? That's a MUCH easier and more likely way to pwn their cold wallets than moving horizontally within the network or dropping another payload for Paul to download and then break in.

New update!!
http://blog.cryptsy.com/post/137323646202/annoucement

"Cryptsy has had problems for some time now and it’s time to let everybody know exactly why.  These problems were NOT because of any recent phishing attacks, or even a ddos attack, nor does it have anything to do with me personally.
About a year and a half ago, we were alerted in the early AM of a reduction in our safe/cold wallet balances of Bitcoin and Litecoin, as well as a couple other smaller cryptocurrencies.   After a period of time of investigation it was found that the developer of Lucky7Coin had placed an IRC backdoor into the code of wallet, which allowed it to act as a sort of a Trojan, or command and control unit.   This Trojan had likely been there for months before it was able to collect enough information to perform the attack.  It does not appear that this was the original developer for LK7, as on 5/22/2014, we received this message from the new developer who wanted to maintain the codebase:
—
Hello,
Lucky7Coin is not maintained and I would like to take care of it. I have announced that on bitcointalk.org in Lucky7Coin thread. You’re the only exchange for this coin and I hope you will let me take care of it. I’m responsible. You don’t have to be afraid of errors or forks. I’m developing multipool and I know bitcoin internals and protocol.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=295157.msg6861797#msg6861797
For a start I’ve changed irc network, so clients could synchronize blockchain. Please upgrade as soon as you can.
Github repo:
https://github.com/alerj78/lucky7coin
Branch “master” will always be for stable version, branch “devel” could be dirty. In a 2-3 weeks I’ll release new version with p2pool support and checkpoints. Before that I’ll contact you to check few blocks hashes for checkpoints and make sure there is no fork.
I hope we can cooperate and make this coin live again!
Jack
—
These are the approximate figures taken:
Bitcoin:  13,000 BTC
Litecoin:  300,000 LTC
This of course was a critical event for Cryptsy, however at the time the website was earning more than it was spending and we still have some reserves of those cryptocurrencies on hand.   The decision was made to pull from our profits to fill these wallets back up over time, thus attempting to avert complete closure of the website at that time.   This worked fine for awhile, as profits decreased due to low volume and low Bitcoin prices, we would adjust our spending accordingly.  It wasn’t until an article from Coinfire came out that contained many false accusations that things began to crumble.   The article basically caused a bank-run, and since we only had so much in reserves for those currencies problems began.
Our current customer liabilities for BTC is around 10,000 BTC, so as you can see we would like to see the Bitcoins returned for both our users and for ourselves.
Here are the transaction details from the Bitcoin wallet:
https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/0c07e0bec1002bd2
As you can see,  2014-07-29 13:17:36 is when the event occurred.   A very interesting fact here, however, is that those Bitcoins have not moved once since this happened.    This gives rise to the possibility they can be recovered.   In fact, I’m offering a bounty of 1000 BTC for information which leads to the recovery of the stolen coins.
If you happen to be the perpetrator of this crime, and want to send the coins back no questions asked, then you can simply send them to this address:
1KNi4E4MTsF7gfuPKPNAbrZWQvtdQBTAAa
If they are returned, then we will assume that no harm was meant and will not take any action to reveal who you are.  If not, well, then I suppose the entire community will be looking for you.
Some may ask why we didn’t report this to the authorities when this occurred, and the answer is that we just didn’t know what happened, didn’t want to cause panic, and were unsure who exactly we should be contacting.   At one time we had a open communication with Secret Service Agent Shaun Bridges on an unrelated matter, but I think we all know what happened with him – so he was no longer somebody we could report this to.    Recently I attempted to contact the Miami FBI office to report this, but they instead directed me to report it on the I3C website.  I’ve not heard anything from them.
I think the only real people who can assist with this are the people of the Bitcoin community itself.
Trades and withdrawals will be suspended on the site undefinately until some sort of resolution can be made.
Here are our options:
1.   We shut down the website and file bankruptcy, letting users file claims via the bankruptcy process and letting the court make the disbursements.
-   or –
2.   Somebody else comes in to purchase and run Cryptsy while also making good on requested withdrawals.
-   or –
3.   If somehow we are able to re-aquire the stolen funds, then we allow all withdrawal requests to process.
I’m obviously open to any other ideas people may have on this."

It appears they have removed their chatbox from the site entirely. Any messages you see showing up in SuperTrollbox are from users who still have a window open with the chat in it.

It started as just BigVern , then BitJohn gained access. When he left I gained access for a small amount of time, but I do not have it anymore.
My guess is wither Paul or JShock posted that twitter status. I agree they should change his picture to a picture of Cryptsy or something as it is our official twitter.

Why was your access revoked? You were probably the best thing to happen to that twitter feed since it was started.
