Ran this version when it was released. 30 seconds later, instant freeze. Had to yank on the power cord and do a hard reset. Went back to 12.3

THE SAME! But after every 30 minutes  Grin

v12.4:

- slightly improved speed for some cards (1-2%).
- added "-gmap" option.
- a few minor changes/improvements.

12.3 works 5.5 day without stop.
now i check how 12.4 works. Thank you Mr Claymore.
My powers consumption fall from 1090W to 1050-1065W on wall.

Hi Guys,

Looking to buy a couple more GPU's.  Power is not an issue thus I am simply looking for the best value.  I can get second user 7970's for about £70 or 290x's for around £110.  I guess its best to go for the 290x's?

thanks
dd

Newegg has fury x for 253 dollars. If you buy 290x run them at a target temperature of 87 celcius to keep the fan noise down. They are designed for 95 celcius so 87 is not a problem.

Can I ask where you find the information on temperatures for cards? I have mine all set at 75c to be safe, but there is fan noise. I would be interested in knowing.

290x was designed to run at 95c, it's all over the net. At 85c I keep the fan at 66% that mining on an hotel room doesn't affect my sleep. My 290x is the reference noisy one lol

You are in a hotel room and you have put a RIG in there?...
You just gave a whole new meaning to the term "free electricity"
What does the cleaner lady say when she comes In to clean up the room?

She clean cookies and go to next room   Grin Grin Grin Grin
That's brilliant idea.

I understand a new stable version is coming...

I have not mined for a while but when I was it was with an older claymore version it it worked perfect.... I just installed the latest version but my rig keeps restarting after around 5 minutes of mining...Just want to confirm if everyone is getting similar problems before I start to play around with the rig.

Thanks.

I was having simillar problems, i move from Optiminer on Linux to Claymore on Windows 10, my rig was freeze and shutdown every 30 minutes, i try everything, from fresh drivers, bios updates to risers conection etc. Then i found Cleared version of Win7, i instal 16.3.2 drivers like on Windows 10, make new config and now my rig works 110 hours all the time without any problems, mining 2230 sol/S with 1075-1095W on wall. (Claymore 12.3)
So now i wait for new version to see speeds and stability but before my change 12.3 was totally unstable ( on linux and win10) now i don't have any problems.

v12.3:

- slightly improved speed, about 410H/s on stock 390X, 465H/s on stock Nano, 300H/s on stock 280X, 305H/s on stock RX480.
- improved stability for high "-i" option values, added "-i 9" option value.
- fixed a few bugs.

Anyone got 16.3.2 drivers on Linux?
Now i've got 2240 sol/S with 1070W - 1095W on wall using 5 x r9 Furys, on latest drivers.
I want check how that work with 16.3.2

I'll see what I can do, in exchange for your settings and BIOS Smiley
I assume you modded the Bios and run voltage, memory and core clock custom?

Stock GPUs and i just Update Motherboard bios. Thats it.
Wink

What is the current rate fom R9 Fury?

It is about 420H/s.

Seriously?
From 270€ GPU we can get 420 H/s?
Can't be true.
Does anybody  really getting this results?

In my rig i use 5 R9 Fury on Linux Ubuntu Server with Claymore v.12
2200 H/s = 440 H/s

Can someone give me link to 15.12 drivers, cant find them online. AMD page is super not user friendly when searching for old drivers. thx

Also what drivers give best results for R9 390s?
sudo apt install -t jessie-backports fglrx-driver=1:15.12-2~bpo8+3

E: The value 'jessie-backports' is invalid for APT::Default-Release as such a release is not available in the sources
