No need to compile the miner - "Both pool and solo mining can be done from the wallet's mining tab."   solo mining from the wallet (like on DoGe)

i am just trying to make sure FUD is not being spread.. FEAR, Doubt and uncertainty.

FUD = FEAR, Doubt and uncertainty

Wouldnt it be FDU ?

Correction:  FUD = FEAR, Uncertainty and Doubt

After some issues arising from the huge traffic we will be delaying the launch of MaxCoin to 7.30PM GMT tomorrow.

crhys, It'll be the PSU.

I had the same problem, the Cube basically killed the PSU I was using (an old Dell PSU with 18A per rail).  Everything ran fine initially, but the Cube started to fail in the same manner you're describing, until it stopped working totally.

Changed the PSU and everything started working again perfectly.  Now running off a PSU with dual 25A rails.

Thanks for the info HellDriverUK, I am running the two cubes on a Corsair CX750, probably just on the edge of what's possible with that PSU.

Have heard that the CX750 can run well with 2 psu running 3 cubes (1.5 cubes each), will configure it like this soon.

Thanks again darkfriend77

I wonder if it would be possible to find the bitcoin value for each payout date and the USD value on purchase day, this could be a better indication on ROI for some people.

have tried to powercylce the cube?

Hi,

All I have done so far is to dismantle and check the tightness of the screws (4 were a little loose), replaced the cards and re-assembled, haven't tried a factory reset yet.

Would a factory reset have any effect ?   can the cube electronics disable chips via software if certain criteria are exceeded (heat, voltage (hi-low) etc) ?

Thanks

PS  Love the construction of these devices, really nice.

Hi OC,

New prices are very welcome, thanks for sorting that, looking to place another order Mon-Tue.

Finally setup my own miners here at the office and I noticed that some of the chips are dead, half a card on one cube and half a card on another + 1 chip on another card, (17chips between 2 cubes).

At what level are these warranted ?  is there a swap out procedure for dead half cards, or does the whole card have to be dead ?

Can we buy cards individually to replace these half dead ones ?

Thanks (sorry about all the questions)

PS.  Do you know if the manufacturers will offer upgrade cards at some point in the future ?  would be nice to purchase individual cards with faster chips to slowly increase hash rates.

what is the estimated shipping date for these units?

If people hurry they will be shipped around the 6-7th of this month.

How many orders do you need to get them here for 6-7th ?

I only have enough btc for 1 machine right now, will probably have more early next week.

Royal Mail for me, I would prefer not to have additional monies to pay out, pay once and get the pain over with.

If we can have any option we want, I would prefer to pay by GBP rather than BTC, saves sending money to BitStamp first lol - I know this would not be ok with you OC :-(

Happy new year to you too

Keep up the good work darkfriend77, your stats are invaluable.

Will you be offering additional GHS at some good prices, I noticed that CEX.io prices fell below 0.05 btc/GH the other day, and they are expensive, hardware must be so much cheaper now.

Didn't we all know this already, bitcoin mining does not actually make sense.

I had a very small part of this miner and if I had kept my btc instead of investing, my current value would be $1100 more, however if bitcoin value increases into the multiple $K (as people are leading us to believe) then the tiny btc payouts make a profit in GBP or USD only (compared to the value of the initial btc investment (around $400))

But again keeping the original investment btc (without spending it on crap) would still make me richer.

Not upset at all, its been great fun and each miner improves the btc network.

The big question is, when will darkfriend77 decide to terminate the machine ?   even my small share is returning 0.011 btc a week right now (not to be sniffed at if the btc prices raise into the $5 -$10K range)
