Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.5.4
by
crocozino
on 19/05/2018, 05:50:03 UTC
Hi dok,
I use V7 algo with 4 vega 56
V1.5.4 and V1.5.3 give me 7600h/s, stable
V1.5.2 and previous versions give me 7850h/s, stable
So, I stick to V1.5.2  Wink
Have you got an explanation for that ?

for me, the older version are giving the better result,  not by much, but still .. for example RX580 on 1.4.6 gives 970 h/s on the 1170/1975 , while with the same core/memory setting it gives 930 h/s on 1.5.2.. so as far as there is no any problems I aware for 1.4.6 I will stick with them.

Re: Can the volatility of Bitcoin be curbed?
by

I guess all is possible in our world, but will it be good for the bitcoin and the market itself!!?? this is the main question!
and I think the answer is a NO. No, the market will not tolerate this, cause flat market leaves no opportunity to earn money!

Re: How foolish are people who invest in Bitcoin?
by

on 16/05/2018, 10:03:23 UTC
I have no idea what makes you think that people who invested in bitcoin are fools?
I think this is kinda dangerous and risky investment, but hey, where else can you earn like 100-300% or even more per year?
so with high risk you can get high reward - I think this is not foolish investment, but a risky one

unfortunately no, it is not enough if we are speaking about good business..  but it is enough to buy a car or even to buy a flat..
which is a very nice outcome for a hobby, don't you think so? ))
and if bitcoin will cost more, then maybe I can think about a house ))

Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option
by
crocozino
on 16/05/2018, 04:28:20 UTC
I've finally made my 1080ti calculator public! Feel free to join : www.myha.sh

This online calculator provides accurate rentability based on many factors. I don't use the difficulty formula, but realistic data from many different pools. Benchmark > Math !

Please note :

- The calculator provides a direct ranking for the 1080ti cards. More NV cards to come. No AMD yet ;

- I use CMC prices or bid prices from the exchanges if required. The choice of bid prices fits the need of the miners, usually selling what they mine.

This calculator is still on beta. You're welcome to tell me any functionnality missing, but be aware I'll make my best to keep it easy to read. Don't expect adjusting the hashrates with your own.
Also, some random revenue might appear. Please be nice and tell me so I can correct it. Don't hesitate to tell me if any coin reward is wrong as well. Beta period, remember ? ;-)

Enjoy !

Telegram : https://t.me/joinchat/EokhB07LX2N0pZU4T60sUQ

thank you mate, I will bookmark your calculator to all others calculators..
all of them is not very accurate, but if I will check them all I could see the right coin, for sure
and I hope you will continue to enhance and develop yours , so it could be more accurate in the future.
thank you once again!

Re: who bought bitmain Z9 will face a big issues now
by
crocozino
on 06/05/2018, 05:54:13 UTC
that is great news indeed.
but I heard that ZEC will not change anything, the increasing diff will only helps to help to rise the value of the coin..
really tough choice here.. it may work .. but I guess the diff will be balanced, some gpu miners will leave mining ZEC while their leave will be compensated by arrived ASICs..

Re: Crypto VS national currency
by
crocozino
on 06/05/2018, 05:16:07 UTC
I found this expression on the news channel about the crypto currency: "Anyone who will try  to buy coffee for cash in 2023, runs the risk of causing laughter from the seller, that he does not use crypto currency."
how do you think, is it realistic? Can a crypto currency replace national  money?
I think that it's possible, but it will take more time.

Crytocurrency will not replace the national currency. But cryptocurrency will be allowed to be used as a medium of exchange in exchange for goods and services given the fact that the said cryptocurrency is backed up by the national currency. There is no stand alone cryptocurrency and it is observable today that altcoins is backed up by bitcoin and bitcoin is backed up by the US dollars. Thus without the US dollars or any of the national currency the cryptocurrency market will die.

kinda agree with this point of view.. the other point is that in general, while national currencies usually are subject to inflation, bitcoin could give more value during the year instead.. which makes it extremely appealing for money saving purposes.. all in all, I think future cryptocurrencies will be really popular anyhow.. because the technology behind it very advanced

Re: when you try to explain people about cryptocurrency do they understand?
by
crocozino
on 06/05/2018, 05:11:18 UTC
some of them yes, they are understand! especially about blockchain technology itself.. they really like the concept behind it and they even think how to use it in the business..
as for digital money the concept is ok for them, but they do not  understood about origins of value of the coins..  they understand they the coins are finite, for example bitcoin, and there are some expenses to mine it.. but why it cost so high... they do not understand.

Re: Bitcoin Bottom Now - Rise Soon
by

it seems that bitcoin is repeating same pattern as it was last year.. I mean now and whole summer the btc price will be somewhat stable in 10-15k corridor..
and in the end of the year we might to see same beautiful rally as it was late 2017..  but the end of this rally would be not the 20K but 35-45k ..  which would be just super good.

i think this is just a marketing idea which can help to differ and highlight this particular mobile phone over the plenty other similar and close models..
cause if a user can install some free android wallets from app store there is no difference..  but now foxconn's marketing could shout out  - this is the first in the world mobile phone with built in wallet)))

Re: Why do you involved in Cryptocurrency
by
crocozino
on 05/05/2018, 07:37:15 UTC
well, because I had a powerful gpu, so i decide why it should just stay at home and just waist the money I spend for it..
so I decided to mine some ZEC in july 2017 and it seems worked like a charm for me..
p.s. after the few month I've sold that card, it was a gtx 1060 and bough gtx1070ti instead, and it happened for money from mining.. cool

Re: Would a global disaster increase or decrease the Bitcoin value ?
by
crocozino
on 05/05/2018, 07:33:05 UTC
i guess it depends on what is "global" definition is..  if the global means really something bad and huge happened all over the world - like an asteroid or WW3 - then yes, it will affect a lot. but if something happens in us only or china only, then there would be some relativity short time correction and after that bitcoin can resume its value.. imho.

this is kinda a little strange situation here, but I was using your miner from the version 1.4.3
it's been working great, then I had upgraded to 1.4.6 and had some problem with pool getting messages of low diff share.. i returned to 1.4.3 - seems working good. now I decided to try your latest version and downloaded it. first I decide to try it on one rx580 card only.. but with the same settings the speed of 1.5.1 is slower then 1.4.3.. it is 970 h/s vs 1010 h/s  ( clocks are 1225 core / 1950 mem)
strange.. I was hoping for some performance boost..

i wonder who will buy those asics? people saw already what happened with cryptonigh asics..
is they want to repeat this situation? I'm sure the some batches of those equihash miners are already in work, this will bring bitmain a lot of profits, but they mine quietly,  but now time has come to earn some money on fresh customers by selling them used asics.. weird.. I hope fork will bring those asics down!

no idea why people hate alt coins? they are just a tool which can help to earn more bitcoins
why should we forget about it and do not use it?!
actually it is really strange situation and position not to use all the variety and possibilities the market can give to earn money..
