Why does dev never reply to the message here? they look like they do not really care about this thread, how do they do promotion so they can collect 2 million dollars?

it seems that what you say is true, the team is not very active, ANN Thread only a few comments,
If it is really only 2 million dollars , it means the project failed
very in pity, maybe the team will hold ICO again

If you look carefully, they are at pre-ico! ICO would start mid January 2018. How would you judge the project is failed when more than 95% of ICOs don't even raise $2.5m in their ICO, let alone pre-ico!!

I agree devs can be more proactive here but I feel they are up to something great, we will find out next month.

There is no public link to client's profile on upwork (only for freelancers), however, shortlisted candidates can check our profile before we initiate the project to confirm the above statement

How to develop a very liquid digital/crypto currency?
by
crptoenthuse
on 18/12/2016, 19:16:32 UTC
There is a little doubt that we are gradually transitioning toward a new era of decentralization and digital currencies e.g: cryptocurrencies and technology behind them are facilitating this process. Though we are still at early days of such exciting journey, much more should be done to simplify the concept, introduce it to wider audience and boost the adaptability. To be honest, when I first heard of bitcoin back in 2010-11, I was skeptical if it could stand the test of time without knowing much details of it's mechanism and it took me long to get an interest in understanding it slightly better just recently. This is despite being exposed to few financial terminals such as Bloomberg almost on daily basis due to nature of my work.

My point is, it's still difficult to explain how cryptocurrencies work to an average joe and convince him why this could be a better alternative to a fiat currency, and we need these sort of people to adapt and participate in order to expand the market reach and increase the liquidity. As per coinmarketcap.com, today's market value for all 644 cryptocurrencies is at $14.6b, very small fraction of fiat currency in circulation, out of which bitcoin has $12.6b capitalization, 86% of total market value and the other 643 altcoins have 14% market share collectively.

The question is, how can we develop a digital currency ( crypto or otherwise) that can bridge the gap between the traditional economy and new decentralized digital economy? one that would be widely accepted, trusted and used by both camp of traditional and sophisticated investors? and easily converted to fiat, commodities and other assets with a low spread.....

Please feel free to contribute, brainstorm and share your thoughts on the subject. I would be happy to form a competent team from the community and financially support it to develop a possible solution.

Thanks,

Mo

Right Oilacris, no one would be able to risk funding mega projects using BTC or other cryptocurrencies given their illiquidity as of now and wild price volatility.

But we would like to brainstorm on possibility of using available "Blockchain" technology ie: ethereum to fund, built, operate and benefit from physical projects.

As a financial consultant we dealt with several projects in energy, aviation, construction,...etc over the years.

Learning about blockchain and it's potential applications, I am fascinated to know how, whether it's possible to use the technology (at it's current stage of development) to fund, built, manage such projects be it a power station, a hotel or specifically an airport. I would appreciate your contribution on the subject, if the brainstorming would lead to a practical solution, we have an access to very interesting project and can hire a team immediately to commence the job.

What would you use a blockchain in an airport for? I have heard every idea about blockchains from different people who are said to be "experts" but all I see are ponzi schemes. I would be surprised if this isnt another scam or ponzi scheme.

Did you hear about the dragon chain that the guy from Disney is developing? You two might want to hook up and see what you can brainstorm with. Heres an interview with him, hes very smart and brilliant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BA2_pg_odX4

No dear, I am no expert in blockchain and as mentioned the subject is absolutely new to me. This post is just to brainstorm a potential application of blockchain technically and will be closed once this is concluded.

Thanks shinratensei_, good points.

what you think of Proof of Asset (PoA) protocol used by digix to tockenize physical assets on to blockchain? Can it be applied to create shares in physical projects?

If we can find a solution to link more and more physical assets to blockchain, it facilitate more participant to join this new domain and of course create more liquidity for the market.

considering cryptocurrencies are still evolving and liquidity is gradually increasing, the potential solution should by hybrid.

Sorry dear, am not sure if I get what you meant. Governments can regulate blockchain as technology but they cant acquire it unless you meant they acquire a [Suspicious link removed]pany.

As for more information on the project, I can just disclose now that we have been appointed to assist with financing of an airport project through conventional methods (institutions) but were curious to find out if we can do it differently and through blockchain. Since this form have a lot of participant, we thought of sharing the subject and get feedback before reaching a conclusion if it's technically possible or is just a wishful thinking.

Please dont hesitate to leave your feedback and contribute in brainstorming.

Spot on, but I am wondering if ethereum's smart contract or similar protocol can facilitate hybrid fundraising process through both cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies against a share in the project?

Sorry if not clear, but what I meant is whether we can envision funding and operating major projects such as airport or hotel, using blockchain technology? It's clear that the current application of clockchain is mainly limited to Finance but there are several other PoC underway by enteprises for other possible applications. Can this be one?

Hope it's clearer now.

Thanks
