I did not invest in this PONZI although some have stated on Facebook that they returned everyone's money. How false or true is this I do not know and I would like to see here if any members of Bitconnect actually got paid back or is this a blatant lie to try to cover their back sides. I think it will be good if the crypto scene is rid of these scams so we can get back to serious price action in real projects that help to solve world wide problems of corruption and inefficiency in many market sectors.

I agree. I did have a few friends get some money back. Apparently they had a webinar today about what is happening with their dissolution and payouts. I do think they wanted to continue but it definitely was a Ponzi-esque scheme. Anytime you hear "we guarantee XX%" it's a Ponzi scheme...

I do believe trading bots hold a ton of potential, and I can see the allure of making tons of money off of them... but unfortunately this how the cookie crumbles sometimes!

Bitconnect Ponzi scheme...

I had a lot of folks close to me get caught up in this scheme. There are so many of these operations that operate in this typically criminal scheme. Obviously, CC isn't regulated like the NASDAQ or NYSE markets. My question is, what does everyone think of these type of situations? This is much different than a bankrupt exchange stealing money, this seems like a pure Ponzi scheme.

Regards!

ArcBlock will be one of those platforms that we cannot even predict what applications will be built on it. This will be similar to the App Store or Google Play store where the platform is released to the world and everyone is able to build their own creative tools!

Wishing the best to the team on a successful launch and platform!

Re: Bitcoin Blockchain & Quantum computing

The quantum computer is one of the most incomprehensible machines ever built to this point. Imagine running the same calculation in multiple dimensions/universes at the same time and then observing those solutions so they collapse back in to this dimension/universe and then combining the solutions for all possible answers. The more powerful these computers get, the faster they will be able to solve these sha256 problems. So it's something to be considered but probably not concerned as by the time there are enough Qubits used, we will have moved on from Blockchain to Hashgraph or something that we haven't thought of yet.

IMHO.

Hi ArcBlock Team, wondering if there is any possible way to confirm that we are properly registered for the Bounty program? I followed the instructions, completed the Google Form and wrote to @phoenixwall. I haven't received any kind of confirmation but have been following the Telegram. Please do let me know! Thanks!

Great work! The only real way to maintain that value would be to use a FIAT exchange and cash some out to USD. Otherwise, if it sits in any crypto, you may lose it. Skimming profits is not a bad idea if you feel that you are still positioned well enough to make more profits.

I recommend you consider what your goal is. Maybe it's just to make profit, maybe it's a HODL because you believe that over time the value will increase beyond the short-term gains, maybe you believe in the tech and you really are passionate about the company, day trading, etc, etc...

Consider what steps are necessary to meet your goal and move from there. Just remember, these markets aren't for the faint of heart and you could lose it all at any moment. Good luck!

But I ask, how good are the profits you make from crypto currency if, when you draw those funds out they are worth 10-15% less than they were the week before... but Gold is stable or increased in value. I <3 crypto but also love gold very much as a CYOA for all things man-made. IMHO, of course.

I'm super excited about this project! It's projects like this that make this revolutionary technology worthwhile! Things like the Open Chain Access Protocol are where the future is! It's definitely an interesting play in semi-competition with EOS using existing infrastructure as opposed to creating something new. Exciting stuff!
