Re: CLORE mining
by
crsminer
on 17/09/2023, 07:50:58 UTC
The price of the coin doubled in 3 days!

What a suprise I do believe this because the project has the relation with AI the recent Hype and Listing on Centralized Exchange always a good news and usually make the price Up.
The connection between this project and AI is very conditional. They offer miners to rent out their mining farms, including for the calculations needed by AI projects. But so far such projects have no demand for such a service. Many coins have not yet been mined and the project has a chance to become popular.

There is demand for this kind of service because CLORE has an innovation called Proof of Holding (PoH).
PoH system automatically rewards rig owners with bonus CLORE when they are rented on the Marketplace, and thus allowing them to lower prices.
So, low rent prices = high demand.

Found the details here --- https://clore.ai/proof-of-holding

There are 3700 GPUs on the Marketplace right now, out of which 2200 are rented, check here --- https://opendata.clore.ai/d/aKQRJmA4z/clore-ai?orgId=1&from=now-1y&to=now

They are like a vast.ai platform on blockchain.

Also, mcap is under 10M, which makes it a gem.

Re: Gamepass mining
by
crsminer
on 11/05/2023, 15:49:24 UTC
The initial block reward is 2000 GPN coins, of which the miner receives 51% for keeping the chain secure. The block reward decreases by 1% every month due to our custom halving algorithm. Mining is a great way to support the Gamepass Network and earn GPN coins while doing so.[/i]

Read: Mining is a great way to fulfill someone's greedy dreams with rest 49% of the block reward.

This is crazy for sure.
This is a big commission. 10-20% on the team's budget and project development looks good if the project does not have funding. When almost half of the coins are taken from miners, the interest of miners in such a coin quickly disappears.

It's not 10-20% for them.

They have a PoG system right now on Dota2 it seems. From the whitepaper:

"Network
The Gamepass Network runs on its own cryptocurrency called the GPN coin (GPN). GPN is a
proof-of-work coin that uses the KawPow algorithm to protect against ASIC miners. GPN has a
total supply of 8.75 billion coins, which are distributed as follows:
- 51% to miners who protect the network by generating blocks;
- 41% to gamers who play games on the Gamepass Network;
- 8% to developers who maintain and improve the Gamepass Network.
GPN has a unique halving algorithm that reduces the block reward by 1% each month.
In this whitepaper, we will describe in more detail the features, architecture, roadmap, team,
legal aspects, and risks of the Gamepass Network."

Wow.. did not know that.. you should write in the description that Clore is supported Smiley.

It works! I tried with -algoalt KawPoW.
Only small issue is that coin name is not printed in miner output, it is ---  Pool[DEF-0].

Now we wait for KAS in next release... any ETA? Smiley

In 2015, there were no bat files in the downloaded distribution of the miner. When beginners asked how to start mining, they were sent to read the readme.txt file. Modern mining  veterans can't even add a fallover pool to a ready-made bat file Smiley Cry

Thanks you speak direct from my heart. Everywhere are "experts", but nearly all new miners didn´t understand how miners work. All using the dumpest mining OS = HIVEOS and this why they don´t understand what they do. I wrote it so often, hiveos isn´t show you what you do und what they do.
Or the experts calculate with software readed wattage, or don´t understand the difference between AMD software wattage and NVIDIA software wattage.
Hashrate.no use mostly software readed wattage to calculate the payback time (they use also ROI in wrong way XD)

I can write so much more things like that, but in the end - i am sure - the "experts" come to flame me Cheesy

Hashrate still growing on ETC

https://2miners.com/etc-network-hashrate

I think it will go up for the next 48 hours and then most likely it'll back down when people finally give up mining due to the low profitability.

ETC hashrate was 70Th/s and now its over 300Th/s so 230Th/s out of the 900TH/s has moved from ETH. Question is where will the rest of the 670Th/s go?

62TH and rising is on ETHW.

This is bad.. to force something on your paying users, even if it's a good thing.

What do You mean force ?
Just read it and thats it . Something is not working ?

It's only one button "I've read and accept" so only way to close the message is to "read and accept" (message is irrelevant).

Re: 2Miners Is Reducing It’s Solo Pool Miners Blocks Up to 50% To Subsidize Its PPLN
by
crsminer
on 11/02/2021, 00:29:11 UTC

This is how flexpool operates.  They try disparage and discredit other pools to make themselves look like the best pool to use.  They have shills all over reddit with 1-2day mining comparisons showing why everyone should switch  Roll Eyes  Its pretty comical to see but surprising how many new miners fall for it and are actually switching over.

We don't push them to post those they do it themselves.....that being said new miner's aren't the only ones switching over, Ethermine's biggest single customer switched over half his hash too. Its likely what prompted them to raise payout minimums.

Nothing we've said isn't true. We've provided the block data off etherscan and you can see that several of the solo mining pool's blocks are filled with low gwei PPLNS pool payouts instead of higher paying ones. Honestly I'm not sure there is a leg to stand on here, ETH transactions are 100% transparent you can see the block filled with 1gwei transactions which pay a lot less than that solo miner would have gotten.

LOL. A classic trumpian smear. It's never him, it's always "people are saying" or "I've been hearing".

Do you deny that 2miners is reducing its Solo Pool miners incomes by transferring its PPLNS pool's miners transactions on their blocks? I don't want to use the big C or F words but these are very serious accusations that we didn't make lightly so if you have evidence to deny them please provide it so we can post a correction.

Is this true?

Only on that graph indeed.. but real earnings are exactly as predicted.

So I guess there is a problem in ethermine last 1000 payouts graph..

what is lolminer setting in hiveos to mine with 4GB cards?always dont work for me Sad
you dont have discord server?

Well not an own discord server, but a channel within the red panda discord. Also I got an own telegram channel if you need quick / direct contact Smiley
Can you share your error message you have with the miner? On latest hive stable image it should be as easy as creating a lolMiner flight sheet and go. No extra options for the 4G cards urgently required. It still is recommended to add --4g-alloc-size parameter to the user arguments, which will improve performance. Check 4076 first. If miner starts check 4078 and then 4080, which is highest I know to be stable on most machines.

now i have to find a way to hookup all 20 older ones directly, when i asked a while ago how to make 4gb gpus mine longer in one of the threads and i said there will be a way one of the people said i was being really stupid Smiley
Lolliedeb, thank you very much

Always welcome. I think its not unveiling anything when I say I am happy to do so, because well - when starting with Ethash I was kind of the underdog out there - and still my share is not huge, but large enough to be worth it by margin. Well and most of that is due to the zombie mode Wink I will try to keep this 4G cards as long profitable as possible. Still need to be serious - we maybe got an other month. With cheap electricity or the GPU in a x8 or x16 slot maybe two month, but the things that can be done are limited time effects :/

Hi Lollie! Great work on 1.22!

Any solution for older R9 290/290x? Smiley)

If anyone has problem with 4GB AMD GPUs stopped working under claymore miner then you just need to use teamredminer program and it works fine under 4GB GPUs.

Hi! What about older Hawaii cards? TRM does not support them..

You could try also phoenixminer, might work. Try that. I have info that it should work.

I tried phoenix.. does not work on Hawaii rigs (it works on R380 though).

Also updated smos to latest version (BETA) does not work.

Maybe you can shout out to TRM to support hawaii Smiley
