Every round need linking address to reciveing byteball?
yes if you move your bitcoins somewhere
no if your bitcoins are at the linked address
You do not need to re-talk has been described previously and I think they're quite understand.. So, think positive in using or doing something.
dude I have written as no one has answered. The other was just faster. You should also make something useful, just do it better and not judge if you dont understand.

The 3rd Round distribution on March, do I need to sent my previous byteball balance to new wallet, like 2nd round distribution?

And do I need to linked my new BTC address? or I can use my previous BTC address? which is I use for 2nd round.
You have answers in your questions. YES & YES  Smiley

I am confused. I guess both answers should be "NO" if I have not moved my funds after the 2nd distribution?

If my understanding is incorrect, please anyone can explain in a bit more details why?

try to communicate with the bot in the BB wallet, just check if your BTC address is linked.

can we get a normal exchange that doesnt trade only gigabytes but normal numbers?
we need serious one like bittrex or so, not unknown one like now

this is not looking good for the coin
Maybe we have soon the internal exchange inside the wallet then its looking very good for byteball.

Hello everyone.
Who gets the transaction and storage fees?
Fees and intrinsic value

The fees are collected partially by those who are first to reference your transaction as parent and partially by witnesses.

Can not run light wallet.
WinXP-sp3

1st run :
Code:

2nd run and after conf.json created.
Code:
uncaughtException
byteball.js:6755 stack Error: Failed to switch to light, please restart the app

angular.js:28501 onGoingProcess Syncing true

I can not find in application folder
conf.json to change client from full to lite.

Where is the configuration file can be found in Windows XP

When you say application folder, do you mean %LOCALAPPDATA%\byteball? That's where you should try looking. Having said that, you can not change a client from full to light and vice-versa. You have to reinstall and chose light.

When I tried to reinstall...
I've got error:

https://s18.postimg.org/ija5vuzlh/error.png

System: Windows XP 64 bit.

I can provide the necessary logs.

XP is not supported, 7 is minimum.

New to Byteball; couple of questions that I couldnt figure out myself:

1) what is the difference between bytes and blackbites? Why are there 2 tokens?
2) On Coinmarketcap it says available supply: 100,000 GByte. Why is it called Gbyte there and not bytes?
3) The total supply on Coinmarketcap (100,000), is that the eventual total supply (all coins that will ever exist), or is it the current total supply (10% of the eventual coin supply -- the coins that were released in the first distribution round)?

Thanks!
1) Bytes is the main currency of the Byteball network, is the currency fees are paid in. Blackbytes are a defined asset which can be used for private untraceable exchange of said currency, blackbytes only paying the network fee in bytes.

2) Gbyte because its easier to say and spell out than whole 100 000 000 000, like we use MegaBytes, KiloBytes etc, standard SI notation.

3) Dunno the first post says something about 10^15 total supply, 10% of that is distributed.
Thanks for the answers! Can someone clarify the current total supply (final total supply-90%) and the final supply (current total supply+90%)? 10^15 can't be right?! Thanks!
There are a total of 1000000 giga bytes. 100000 was distributed.

With a price of 0,051 btc per GByte Byteball is number 9 on coinmarketcap with a total marketcapitalisation of 51.000 btc.

i don't understand that coinmarketcap calculates the marketcapitalisation by 100.000 Gbytes. That's the first round distribution number. The fact that the others are not distributed does not mean they do not exist. Total existing supply is 1 million Gbytes.

I hope people do realize that they are buying a top 10 coin.

titan20, there are also 21 million bitcoins but its also not entirely distributed yet. Coinmarketcap calculates marketcapitalisation by coins that was already distributed. e.g. 16,131,025 BTC and not 21 million BTC.

Well, the big difference is Bitcoin is POW taking how many years to bring all the coins in to circulation.
Byteball is POS. The lead developer can bring all coins in to circulation tomorrow.

And if everything goes to plan i think all coins are in circulation within a year. So the marketcapitalisation is relatively enormous. This is a very successful coin but also very expensive one

There is no difference which method is used: POW or POS.
The lead developer can bring all coins in to circulation tomorrow.
Also in bitcoin that would be theoretically possible. BTW after all distribution bitcoin will be also POS.
if everything goes to plan i think all coins are in circulation within a year
Nobody know that, maybe first in 2020, who knows.
This is a very successful coin but also very expensive one
No. If the marketcapitalisation increases till one billion than the price is now incredibly cheap.

Do the Black bytes play any role in the distribution cycles or is it strictly the white byteballs?

Nope, only red bytes. Green bytes do affect integrity of the code, but they're not as immune to interference as yellow bytes.
are you drunk or its just your colorblindness intensified Smiley

Even after all these pages there's still some people whining about the distribution method.  While I'm sure suggestions are most welcome, check your damn tone and stop sounding so adamant about how "wrong" or "unfair" the distribution method supposedly is.  Instead of demanding shit from someone who has made the effort and done all the work, why don't you stop being lazy and make your own coin with your preferred distribution method?  Self-entitled ingrates.  No one is forcing you to be here, so it stands to reason that all you're capable of is whining and have no discernible talents that would allow you to come up with anything better.

Agreed, the distribution model may have some flaws, but we are talking about free distribution. Also, has anyone actually used the wallet? Sending is nearly instantaneous, works great!

Sending is fast, but not always. One of my transactions with Blackbytes took almost 30 min to confirm. Others were faster, like about few minutes. I guess it depends on activity level on specific time of day..?

I think it depends on the volume of transactions on the network. The larger the transaction the faster the time of confirmation.
