With this lock, Swipe has moved over the Founder & Advisor tokens over a time locked period of 6 years. This shows transparency and commitment to the protocol with a high level of security verified by CertiK, a leader in smart-contract audits. The value of this lock is approximately $13 million USD.
The address for the time lock contract is the following: 0xaf04c95b6a5efa851136049203093468c197517c

CertiK Has Completed Swipe’s SXP and Time-Lock Smart Contract Audits

As new innovators populate the ecosystem, blockchain adoption continues to grow. There have always been a variety of cryptocurrencies that drive different purposes but unite with one purpose — building a bridge from traditional financial systems to a digital financial landscapes.
In order to facilitate that broader blockchain adoption, Swipe works to create a global solution that allows millions of users to use cryptocurrency. Swipe strongly believes that blockchain technology and a cashless society is important for financial sectors to take the next step to broader adoption.
The Swipe Wallet enables users to have a multi-blockchain digital application with access to all of its features including:
Access to over 20+ cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies all from one application
Buying, selling, and paying with any supported cryptocurrency with your wallet
The Swipe Oracle allows use of patent-pending processing systems to instantly access your cryptocurrencies
The safety and security of all digital assets through a vetted custodian and 24/7 support
To support this system, Swipe has developed Swipe Tokens (SXP) as the utility tokens designed to be the gas and fuel to the Swipe Wallet, providing the system with a transparent and familiar structure.
“The Swipe Token is the centerpiece of the Swipe Wallet system, offering network fuel and access to receiving the services provided by Swipe, including financial services. That’s why it is so important to ensure that the underlying token that powers the system and bridges us is secure and safely operated on the Ethereum decentralized blockchain.” — Swipe Team
Similarly with the overall mission of growth and adoption in mind, Swipe built the SwipeTimeLock smart contract to push their vision forward. In this lock, the platform moved 60 million of the Founder and Advisor SXP tokens to a 6 year locked contract. This 6 year period is intended to further deploy the project, and ensure maximum success.
Due to the connectivity and reach of the Swipe Token, Swipe needed the assurance of CertiK, as the leader in the blockchain security space, to assure the security of their product.
CertiK’s Audit Process
CertiK was chosen by Swipe to audit the design and implementation of their SXP smart
Contract and Time-Lock Contract. The purpose of these audits were to make sure the smart contracts are robust enough to avoid potential unexpected loopholes and immune to classical security issues.
Utilizing CertiK’s Formal Verification Platform, Static Analysis, and Manual Review, a comprehensive examination has been performed. The auditing process pays special attention to the following considerations:
Testing the smart contracts against both common and uncommon attack vectors.
Assessment of the codebase for best practice and industry standards.
Ensuring contract logic meets the specifications and intentions of the client.
Cross referencing contract structure and implementation against similar smart contracts produced by industry leaders.
Thorough line by line manual review of the entire codebase by industry experts.

Overall we found both smart contracts, the SXP Token Contract and the Swipe Timelock Contract, to follow good practices. With the final update of source code and delivery of the audit reports, we conclude that the contracts are structurally sound and not vulnerable to any classically known anti-patterns or security issues.
About CertiK

Re: Bitcoin in College???

Bitcoin as a course or any related currency on web.
In my country we have multiple courses in computer especially programing and web developments. My course is also information technology, but i've never heard or learn about online currency as bitcoin. In present, and future studies is there any chances for inserting about it in education. In your country is it available?
It would be better for any country to adopt bitcoin in educating new generations. Instead of playing games and wasting money in surfing xxx sites.

I think the main reason why Bitcoin is not even tackled in your course is that cryptocurrency in not widely acceptable yet. They are not yet considered as a legitimate currency that can run side by side with its counterpart. But it will be a good idea if cryptocurrency will be included in the curriculum considering the technology behind it. Blockchain and how it works is a great example of what can be taught. If they can't consider cryptocurrency as a currency at least have some attention in its technology specially for computer courses that can greatly benefit from it.

Re: Why people says gold is better?
by

Actually today I watched a video on facebook which is about spending bitcoin and gold in USA,it says it is difficult to spend bitcoin but some places are accepting bitcoins accepting as payment like supermarket, restaurants and some institutions. But no one accepting gold as payment then why still people says gold is better?

I think it is because the fact that gold is tangible and can easily be stored physically without worrying to be hacked or phished online specially to those who are not well knowledgeable in the internet. Gold also is present and been existing generation by generation compared to  Bitcoin who is fairly new to our society and is not widely acceptable. Bitcoin also has some drawbacks specially its fees and transaction rate. Its price is also volatile that can cause instability in its value. But I think if it can be overcome and can come up with a solution then we can see a universal currency that can dominate the financial market.

Re: Why people sell bitcoins?

It really depends if you are an investor or a trader. Investor mainly hold Bitcoin as long as they can, or at least if they reach their target price. They usually hold it for years and let it appreciate overtime. They tend to be calm even it dips or the market corrects. They see this as an opportunity to add more to their holdings. On the other hand, traders have different approach to this. Some are day trading which usually hold within a day and sell it for a profit. This is commonly called as scalping. Others are for short or mid term. Usually they hold it for days to weeks or even months. They have a setup for this kind of trading and let the market do the work. As you can see there are many reasons for people to sell their Bitcoins. As they always says, "Plan your trade, trade your plan"

Re: Is this the end for bitcoins ?
by
crypto4lambo
on 29/01/2018, 09:40:28 UTC
Very recently I read an article , which assumed bitcoins to be exactly like the Dutch tulip mania , the Mississippi bubble and the south sea bubble.

The author of that article (which was published in the economic times ) said it's now time to move away from bitcoins , the market has ended and the sooner you forfeit the lesser will be your loss.

What do you guys think about it ?

We have been there all the time. Prices of Bitcoin fluctuates more than any other investments tools that is why it is very unusual to see this kind of movement not to mention how long it has been bullish. Everything that is been traded in the market must react accordingly, it must have ups and downs for it to be a normal investment. Just stay put and trust Bitcoin. It will stay no matter what. It has gone through many obstacles in its way and all of that has been surpassed and correction now is not an exception.

Re: How to Make Money in Crypto
by
crypto4lambo
on 18/01/2018, 09:09:38 UTC
There are many ways to earn in crypto. Bitcoin alone has many opportunities to choose from. You can earn through this forum, you can also earn through trading cryptocurrencies. You can also offer services in exchange with Bitcoin. For other altcoins, you can join bounty campaigns, invest in their ICO, mining tokens then hold it and then exchange it if its value appreciates. There are several ways to earn, it is you who will decide where are you comfortable at and where you enjoy doing it.

Re: Why Bitcoin is going down?
by
crypto4lambo
on 11/01/2018, 02:42:26 UTC
Many factors were need to be considered for the reason for this. It can be a normal reaction of the market and many were just taking profits. Remember that this season, many traders or investors are making this move so it is normal for a coin to plummet or dip. It will eventually climb to its range once investors come back in. Bitcoin is also volatile regarding news and many were being affected by FUD. Because of this many were panic selling and regret later on. These news, intentional or not, extremely affects Bitcoin which can be an opportunity to buy or the other way around. Just believe in Bitcoin, you are in good hands. Smiley

Re: What do you think about bitcoin interest in the near future?
by
crypto4lambo
on 10/01/2018, 05:10:37 UTC
Yeah I think it is possible to achieve considering that many were just starting to adapt Bitcoin. Many were still not aware of cryptocurrencies and it is has a room to grow. Bitcoin is undeniably a great investment for long term though many were in doubt of its existence, Bitcoin always proved them wrong. In fact many experts and reliable personalities in financial industry were still optimistic with its growth. Though Bitcoin is struggling with how much is its stable range, I still believe that it will find it in the near future.
