Re: Gold exist 1000+ years. while bitcoins exist 10 years.

Gold exist for over a 1000+ years maybe? Bitcoin only 10 years. Also the internet existed about 25+ years. Bitcoin price is higher than gold by over 200%. I think the value of Bitcoin is going to sky rocket once again. When technology gets more advance n the Bitcoin system upgrades. Just another speculation.

Gold has always existed, it was here before the humans and before the earth, gold will also be here when the humans are gone and the earth are gone also. Bitcoins have been here for 10 years, it will also be here in 10 years from now, and the last bitcoin will also be mined in 130 years from now. From now and until the last bitcoin are mined we will see many new Bull Runs. Bitcoin are a digital store of wealth, and that makes it populare in the digital world we lives in.

Last bitcoin will be mined in 2140 not 2040, after this point the miners will have to live from the transactions fees, and they will most likely also live from bitcoin side blockchains.

The prices of mining Bitcoins depend of your equipment. The price of Bitcoins also depends on your cost to run your business like electric, housing space and spare part and work labor and then how much you need to pay in tax out of your profit.

If we just looks at the electric price then  South Korea comes in as the most expensive country for mining a single coin at $26,170 and Venezuela came in as the cheapest nation at $531. According to this https://www.elitefixtures.com/blog/post/2683/bitcoin-mining-costs-by-country/

Re: MY VIEW ON THE ADVANTAGES OF MERIT TO THE FORUM.
by
cryptoJJJ
on 21/09/2018, 01:33:35 UTC
The merit system is not perfect, but to fight spam and to let the reader get a quick idea about how much the author knows about the subject, the merit system is as good as it gets.
I think it’s a good idea to force everyone to do their best when they post here on BitcoinTalk, if we want blockchain to be a success, then we all need to be good ambassadors of blockchain technology.

The merit system will make people go deeper into what blockchain technology can do. And our new wisdom can be used when we talk about blockchain, not just here on this forum but everywhere we talk about blockchain related subject, our knowledge’s about blockchain will get even more people to be interesting in blockchain.

If you have a long term plan then stick to it. Most of those coins that went to an all time high back around New Year 2017/2018 they will never see those high prices again.
Other coin like Bitcoin will most likely see new all time highs in the years to come, going long on Bitcoin have since the beginning of Bitcoin been the best bet anyone cut make.
Most of my portfolio is just Bitcoins in a save wallet, and then I play around with 10-20% of my portfolio in Altcoins.

Re: My life will change when there is a Merit
by

You need to see this forum as a greater blockchain community; it was build to discuss Bitcoins and blockchain in general. It was not build to be a place people went to do signature bounties.
Now what can you do to get back to do your signature bounty.
Start making post other people will get something new out of. Use your knowledge about blockchain to make good post and your will earn merit so you can continue your signature campaign.

Don’t worry too much about Merit
by
cryptoJJJ
on 19/09/2018, 00:27:35 UTC
So you got demoted.
Don’t worry too much, keep posting some good post and eventually you will get merit also.  You might have been posting too much in the bounty section and you are now back to be a newbie again.
Even through you might have posted in the wrong sections or just been unluckily not to have got some merit on your journey; you must likely have gain blockchain experience after you join Bitcointalk or the crypto currency world general.
See it as a new start. You now got the chance to prove you're knowledge about Bitcoin, Blockchain and Cryptocurrency.
Make some good constructive post and after some time you will start to earn Merits.

I think you should support the forum and buy a copper membership. You will be able to post pictures and have a signature like a Member.
If you post ANN treads then you most likely will make some money, and you should use some of them to support the forum and get yourself a Copper Membership.

I still think neo are a good coin to hold. It’s one of the few Altcoins I hold. Neo are free to send, and you earn gas holding neo, both on exchanges or on your own wallets.
NEO being free to send also makes it a good coin to send from exchanges, some exchanges don’t charge anything when you send neo, so you can use neo to send coin from one exchange to another save the withdraw fee.

This is really good news for the bounty hunters, but Bitcoin talk are much more than bounty hunting. The level of shit post and non sense threads are growing each day.
I think it sad to see all those signature bounty hunters without any merits, doing 5 or even 15 posts each week on Bitcointalk forum without ever getting any merit.
How can all those post contribute to anything good on this forum, and what does the ICO project get out of all those spam post?

I still feel like a newbie, I got my first Altcoins and Bitcoin in 2017, and I still think I have a lot to learn. I think it must be a burden to have a high rank and not being able to make good quality post about blockchain related issues. This new merit system will help new comers to this forum. It will give them the necessary time to fully understand what blockchain are and how it will change humanity.

Never give up, you will over time make good quality post, and one day a merit source will chose to help you rank up. It can never be Bitcointalk problem that you are in a signature campaign and your signatur space are now lost. And if you are in a signature campaign then you are suppose to make good quality post, some of those post will one day give you merits.

You can keep doing bounty rapports without any merits, getting merit has never been easy and it should not be an easy thing. I’m sure you can spend some time on making post outside the bounty threads and see that crypto are much more than just bounty rapports.

There’s no need to believe in any of the feel good and don’t miss out future Bitcoin price prediction, the Bitcoin price and all the Altcoins prices are already so high now, that guessing on a  even higher future price are clearly speculations.

Re: Is Bitcoin a Digital Gold??
by
cryptoJJJ
on 31/08/2018, 11:28:34 UTC
After reading a lot of posts made by people on this forum, I realized about 75% of them see Bitcoin as a digital Gold. For me, I don't think Bitcoin is a digital gold. Cryptocurrency or Bitcoin to be precise, was developed to be a safer option for transaction of goods and services and also the best mode of payment. Bitcoin was introduced to disable all the restrictions that banks and the financial system presented. A lot of people have lost huge sums of money because they saw bitcoin as a digital gold. I know others will argue that bitcoin has also made people rich but for me, I don't think it is advisable to consider Bitcoin as a digital gold. Bitcoin is a digital currency.

The Bitcoin whitepaper was made almost 10 years ago. The price of a Bitcoins was not expected to rise to the thousand for just one coin back then.
The use case for Bitcoins as a fast payment are limited, the network are reliable, but to slow to be used for a payment system. Other coins are better for that.
The high price also makes Bitcoins something people want to keep. It has proved itself as a safe haven against inflations. And that make Bitcoins to digital gold 2.0

Re: 5 Big mistakes for a beginner in cryptocurrencies ✌
by
cryptoJJJ
on 31/08/2018, 11:17:18 UTC
As a newbie I started holding Bitcoins first, and then slowly got a few Altcoins. I think most people don’t know how crypto works, I don’t know how my phone works but I know who to use it. And the same are important with crypto, you need to know how to use it. If you invest into a coin you want to keep more than a few days or weeks, you don’t need to know how they coded that blockchain, but it will be good see what experts says about the blockchain, and also try to see how the blockchain works, by sending some coins from a wallet.

Re: ICOs Created a Strong 44% Downtrend for Ether in 14 Days

There has been so many ICO on the Ethereum blockchain the last year, and now when the ICO start to dump their ether other will follow and a domino effect are happening.
I’m sure some people who hold Ethereum are starting to short their holdings also, witch just leave to even bigger price falls.
