Do you even read the announcements before you spew your bullshit onto this forum? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=513613.msg6296433#msg6296433

As soon as they decided that they were going to move CAI from PoW to PoS they said that they were leaning towards destroying "most" of the premine of CAI, they then announced further details of how CAI will become CAIx and stated that CAIx will have a premine of 2%.

TLDR = cryptonerd = fool
CAI premine to be deleted
CAIx premine to be 2% of total CAIx coins

If I miss one of the many updates about the destroying the premine, then my apologies.
the update I read did not address the premine. And if it was determined what was to be done with the premine, then why couldn't we get a straight answer. Clearly a break down in communication because I wasn't the ONLY ONE having this concern. It doesn't matter now at this point.

DCgirl I am sad you said had respect, but I will answer this as well. You have not stated a fact, but I will restate them for you.
With the success of CAI so far we have noticed that our premine has grown in value to over 300 BTC. This would have been a great thing
to any scammer dev, but not for me. I decided to destroy the premine, and remove any future doubts as to the purpose of CAI. We wanted to prove that with modest funds we can create a success. So when we discussed the best way to destroy a premine, we also wanted to add a an extra benefit to our investors at the same time by removing the miner dumping aspect that been plaguing UTC for example. SO a move to full PoS would enable us to implement many changes at once.
  • Destroy Premine
  • Remove Miner dumping
  • lower Max coin cap
  • secure our network 100% from ASICS/Multipools
  • Move CAI to the next stage by making it a community project

We have a lot of ideas and to have that accomplished we needed to remove the weight of a premine that has become of huge value from the CAI market cap. Some people will think why? because at one point in the near future that might raise questions as to our motives. So if we stayed where we are would you feel safer investing in CAI knowing I have access to 100's of Thousand that I can dump on the market or would you feel safer if I don't? The fact that some people question our decision to destroy premine makes me wonder as to the validity of the question. This should be a no brainer to see  how much CAI will benefit from this action that I am taking with the full knowledge that the premine I am destroying is worth more than 300 BTC. I am sorry If I offended you, but I hope you can see these facts and argue anything with me that makes you feel I am doing anything wrong. As far as these changes are concerned, I have met with some of our biggest investors in CAI and they were delighted with the steps we are taking. I did not do this out of personal interest as it is obvious from the facts it's the opposite.

Was the decision to destroy the premine from the start OR after you're called out on it? In the initial announcement of going to PoS, destroying the premine was not mentioned.

And when the community brought it up we couldn’t get a straight answer, and you got defensive. So I assumed (like many others) that you were trying to pull a fast one. The lost of trust started from there. I am looking forward to reading a clear and precise announcement today.

@TheStuhlman: The way you handle questions/criticism destroys more trust than you would by keeping quiet imho.

Yup

The premine will STILL be 2%. 2% of the new coin total. That's only 40k of the 2 million. Could even be less. Stop worrying and buy up the cheap coins!

That is incorrect. Where are you getting this? The developers premined 2% of the total 28,000,000 coins (over half a million) and are keeping them for themselves. As said by the developer once this was exposed.

You are incorrect. He just said they're resetting the premine to 2% of the new coin total on IRC.
Stop spreading FUD.

They are probably going to premine another 2% of the CAIx coins. If you can't see how this coin is a scam (instamined on day 1 was the first flag) then keep learning about crypto so you don't support these things again.

What are you still doing here if this is a scam? Im glad that i supported this from the start because it has made me alot of money, and it will continue to make me alot of money. Pity that you will get left behind.

meh! new coins pop every day and new opportunities. a dime a dozen.
When Dev starts changing things too quickly and only become "transparent" on shady things they get called out on, that's enough for me.

good luck to anyone that do stick around.

EVERY SINGLE coin with a premine and/or IPO requires a certain amount of trust in the developers.  Period.  This is why I usually don't invest in premines.  With CAI, I decided to trust and invest.  The change to proof of stake has not substantially changed anything about this coin with regards to the premine. I asked Stuhlman in IRC if the premine would be allowed to mint coins, and he said no.  I still think something needs to be done with the premine to substantially reduce or remove it as a threat, but then I have always felt that way.

If you don't want to invest because of the premine, fine, but its not a "scam" until they sell the premine on the market and screw us all.  If that happens then you guys can laugh until your blue in the face.

I thought it did. it went from 2% to ~28% premine with PoS

I don't want to laugh at anyone. I think the last few pages of posts were to let miners know what's happening.
I wasn't aware that the tiny elementals game was already out on itunes, but the Dev said it's just getting accepted by apple. someone made me aware, and that was enough to raise the red flag.

You guys are trolling because you sold. And I promised those who sell to regret it. And now you are in regret mode. Which translates to trolling. Feel free to let the steam out. This thread is not moderated. Go ahead let it all out. Feel better? I told you so.

I do feel better. Made 1.2BTC  Grin

I find it shocking you think you can switch your 2% premine to a 28% premine. This coin is not for the people, it is the opposite of what crypto is meant to be. These type of scammers are trying to ruin crypto for their own selfish gains.

Good, I'm not the only one that caught that. LOL
Dumping on MintPal, and pointing my miners back to Vert. I rather take a "small" profit now, than be sorry later.

I've stopped mining this coin...there is no buy support on the current exchange so that i can guess where this coin is going...so far it's looking my bad investment of time and money...but i am hoping that i am wrong and next time when i again see this coin thread it going somewhere Smiley

I'm sorry. This coin was made with good intentions. Made only for community, by specifics asked from community.  We are doing everything possible, but if there isn't support from community, it can't go anywhere

No need to be sorry, Bro. Good on you for trying. A lot of things was out of your control. I mined close to 500 coins and a shady pool didn't even allow me to withdraw. Not your fault. Plus, it seems that the whole crypto scene is in a rut this past two weeks because of the coin prices. I shut down half my mining rigs during the day, not because it isn't profitable, but its nicer outside and damn it gets hot at my place. I can only run my rigs (40MH) at night. LOL

Look into X11 algo... summer friendly Smiley

I was setting up my new rig and letting it run for a few hours while mining this coin.
it was on sumpool and collected 489.330224 coins.

since there's no wallet for OSX, reply to this post and I will send you the coins. I guess there is not guarantee from this pool.

Hi.

I can do with a bit more. Thank you

I'm not going to bash you for trying to start a alt coin. I think you rushed getting this out, and the presentation of this coin could have been a bit better and maybe explain what differentiate this from other coins. I agree, that X11 is a good algo, especially for the summer months for gpu mining, plus asics are a round the corner. You made one good point about having too much supply of a coin can kill it's value. I hold hirocoin, and its sucks to see the value of it drop. However, I'm holding.

start of correcting this.  (good you edit it)

I have 25 MH connected to the SuchPool.pw. The dashboard, however, after an hour of mining shows 14-17 MH. Is it normal? Do I get actual correct number of accepted shares reported by sgminer?
Thank you.

Great algo by the way. The cards run even cooler than with HEFTY1 algo. Hope, this coin will attract more attention.

I think the dashbaord lags a bit. I have 48MH and it shows, anywhere between 38-43MH. I look at the payouts, if it's consistent, then I'm not worried.

EXE is a rock solid investment right now. I think I'm having Vertcoin Deja vu! Cheesy

That's the last thing I would have expected. I'm moving some bitcoin into exe until bitcoin stops falling.

Good idea.

I'm just wondering how long bitcoin will keep falling for and how far.

hard to say.
but the Chinese are buying/selling BTC like it's going out of style.

www.fiatleak.com

Could be down for sometime until mid-end April. Folks on Twitter are saying it could hit lows of $250-300... all I can say right now is that the charts are a big kick in the balls. I've parked most of BTC in EXE because I see big potential.

I've been buying Dogecoin. I think it will start to rise again and it's accepted with the exchange (doge to fiat) I deal with. Kept all my exe, and dump all my Hirocoins.
Bought 3BTC worth of silver from www.silvergoldbull.com this morning.
