Re: What is needed for Altcoin to survive long term?

Altcoins too closely mirror the movements of Bitcoin. This is because most of them have no product, or that their product is also extremely tied to crypto.

We need altcoins that are less crypto-native... Which is really hard to do, because apparently the crypto community has this idea that everything has to be about crypto conquering the world.
My bet is coins like WTLs. (https://www.welltrado.io/. But there is a long way to go for them yet.

Only some 35% left

This is literally the best way I have seen to hedge your crypto, especially now when the bitcoin whales are playing the fuck around.
I am so looking forward to their product.

I use multiple metods, but none of them can give you a common sense. For example recently i saw a project claiming to " cold fusion new elemets" . if one cant understand that this is disgusting scam and gives them money than no tool or advice cant help these kind of investors.

Right now i do not know much good projects, only good ones seeminlgy just ended.

I found stuff like that pretty abundant. I am also curious to why on earth the damn stuff get's funded anyway? Catering to geeks with technological wonders seems to the gateway to golden rivers of money Wink
Again, I found jack shit - this month, and there is so many. Maybe that Welltrado thing, but I am bit sceptic about the "calculator". I don't know. Whatever. Looking at the bloodbath in the markets, I am bit edgy right now.

Dunno man.

I have found Jack shit lately. It's a jungle out there. Bitcoin talk isn't very helpful. But I am starting to watch small YouTubers currently, the ones that are obviously not paid. Some of them spend an insane amount of time on research.

The market fluctuations aren't what one would call natural looking in a short timeframe.
Looking at history, the goldrush especially, things will eventually settle.

A limited ressource will always find an audience, if it has a use case. Ironically the bizzarely wild fluctuations of crypto is why the implementation of real-world use has been slow

Re: Do you join ICOs that requires KYC?

To me. ICOs that require KYC are actually trying to comply with the regulations. That is a sign of maturity, and seriousness.

Would a scam bother using tons of money on setting up a KYC operation? They would also loose naive investors - which they would not want.

Currently the whole market is witnessing a slump. This due to factors as the congressional hearing, Google and the SEC crackdown.

I think it will all normalize in a few months when things settle down a bit. When people realize that US legislation is not the end of the world. Investments are so fluid now, and will just move elsewhere.

Re: Is product important for a project?

My feelings about this, is that often we look at marketing, and the smoothness of the projects, instead of looking at actual appliance of the products.

Case in point: WePower. Amazing campaign. Charismatic front man, beautiful website. Great communication.

But the product? Common. This will be beyond difficult to deploy in the real world. The obstacles internally in the energy business is obvious. The legislation, the markets that already work or are governed by states etc. Not saying they won't solve it. But the leap would be gigantic.

... And that was one of the good ones. Then we have the obvious AI products catering directly to the geeky core of the crypto community. I mean it is difficult.
