I love the counterparty project but I think Overstock and others went for colored coin because

1) They have a working wallet which is stable. Counterwallet is unstable for me

2) Colored Coin can be stored on Trezor. People want a safe way to store large amount of money!

3) There is no intermediary coin with Colored coins

4) Nasdaq will use Open Assets

I don't think much need to be done for restoring trust in XCP but the minimum is a "working" wallet + Trezor and and an efficient decentralized exchange

Good Luck guys

Ok, I've been jumping into the coding last few days and here's what i'm working on first:  I'm adding Poloniex-cryptsy arbitrage that uses real time PUSH api to compare the 2 exchanges.  Since Poloniex and Cryptsy have Push api.. its the best way to do it... no timed checks.. real time action immediately when opportunities happen.. adding C-cex exchange to Quatloo-trader is also in the works..that takes time.  I'll chime in more frequently.

Can we please have an update?

it's going on for long enough now....

personally I'm not a huge fan of the "Round based & the Competitive Payout Scheme" of 2.0

I wouldn't completely remove the option of selling Gold

I'm sure you will raise the BTC needed, I'm looking fwd to help

Good luck and thanks for your hard work

Try the MSI installer available in the same page: https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-gui/releases

Please add the fact that its for Windows in the description. It's easy to miss/forget the .msi extension when browsing.  Smiley

done

I can't seems to make it work... I installed it on windows 8 and change the settings as follow:

under Counterparty server I selected  counterwallet.io

under wallet I selected Bitcoin core with following options

host= 127.0.0.1
port = 8332
user= "myuser from bitcoin.conf"
password= "mypassword from bitcoin.conf"

I launch bitcoin in cmd -> bitcoin-qt.exe -server

once bitcoin-qt is synchronized I open counterparty GUI

it briefly open but it never goes further than loading

is the issue windows 8 or m'i doing something wrong?

thanks

P.S: the all process look a little complicated to me.

What are the options for moving XCP from one BTC address to another?  I know of importing the private key into Counterwallet and sending from there.  Are there any other options?  Is there an ETA on the desktop wallet?

The gui desktop wallet is already here (its simple send/receives only though at the moment)

https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-gui/releases

seems a little complicated for the avg joe, you need Python 3, PyQT5 etc.

Is there a windows compile coming out soon?

thanks

Try the MSI installer available in the same page: https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-gui/releases

I see thanks

Is there a plan to make it compatible with Trezor?

would be nice to be able to change the BTC fees. I know transactions with zero fees are slow but would it be possible to add this option on counterwallet.io?

sorry guys to be a pain

still the same issue on harvesting

now NIS an NCC are connected and sechronized

I see delegate harvesting is active on the top right on the "importance score"

but when I click on strat delegate harvest I get "error 699"

I guess i'm not harvesting or m'I?

what should I do?

It means you're already harvesting on that node. Did you start harvesting locally ?
You can harvest delegated and locally on one node unless you raise the account limit in the config file.

ok maybe i'm harvesting locally but how do I stop? and how do I see if I'm harvesting or not?

Having the same issue. Where can i check if local harvest is on and where can i turn if off? (prety sure both are on)

My guess right now is that you guys somehow managed to activate both local and remote harvesting or at least the client thinks so.
Klick on stop harvesting (remote or local what ever you see right now). Maybe then the button for the other type of harvesting will re-appear and then you can stop that as well. Then choose one type and one type only and start that.

There is no stop harvesting for me only start delegated harvesting...

I haven't recive and coins from harvest for 12h

how many time should I get coins on avg?

NO.

If you're getting error 699, it means you have tried harvesting with >1 account on a single machine.

By default NIS is setup to allow only SINGLE harvester.

If you want to increase the number change unclockedLimit in NIS settings:

Code:
# Maximum number of unlocked accounts. Meaning: maximum number of accounts that are allowed to use this NIS for harvesting
nis.unlockedLimit = 1

I have only one open.... don't know what to do.... I tried changing the host  with no success

please help

any change you harvested locally and now trying to do delegated ?
That's like harvesting with multiple accounts at once.

 ok maybe I don't understand I'm harvesting locally...

but what is correct

and can I only harvest locally is that ok?

The trader is often buggy and unreliable. I have to restart it every few hours.. i get the balance error seen below, but it also regularly just stops placing orders without any errors whatsoever. I've tried so many things.. running as administrator, setting the orderbook to refresh etc. nothing helps.

Please advise

I have the same issue on windows 8...

Are you running on windows 8?

Markus is probably close to releasing the full update. no time to do separate updates again for a Poloniex patch.

lets hope

but "soon" is a vague term

2015 has not been a good year for Quatloo so far, finger cross it won't be long before we see a reversal

I feel bad for people who invested at 10x the price

Imagine if you invested 1btc last year today you would have 0.1btc or less

That price drop was inevitably coming.

Poloniex API for QTL trader doesn't work...

Let's hope next update we get a big boost

But indeed investors are starting to get worried

There´s like 4000 satoshi to one US cent so doing those faucets seems like a ridiculous waste of time - unless you´re dirt poor and live somewhere in the world where a quarter maybe buys you some food.

use those satoshi to buy and trade coins... use a program like Quatloo trader to make your life easier

Also you can win the jackpot and make 700'000 satoshi on top of that

Every little helps... mining Curecoin/Foldingcoin with your CPU, get a few coins and help the world

But no Scamming people is better

Satoshi must be proud of people doing that

Bitcoiners are worst than Swiss Bankers

Sad sad world

Still, the time wasted on scraping for those cents isn´t worth it. And for most people being on a computer and the internet isn´t free either. Better to have a job or beg in the street and use the proceeds to buy BTC and use that to trade or gamble or whatever.

those cents could be worth 100 of dollars one day

I use to do faucets when bitcoin was at 6usd... And do faucets for alcoins too

everyone as a few minutes a day
