one more question - will it be possible to install older drivers in hiveos 2.0?
the latest nvidia drivers are not very got (hopefully yet) for mining

I am very interested, took the survey. Being a noob I have lots of questions. I have a couple of small rigs. I run SMOS, can I still use it or will I need to change OS. I also use Enemy 1.11, what's that going to do.
Do you have some diagrams as to how the hardware all connects ? If I can use it, I want to give it a go.
all u need to do is just sit and wait.
i think once devs have a working product that is ready for release and selling they will find a way to adopt the usability it to anyone who wants it.

v0.5-59 Linux GPU&CPU client

Changelog:
- Autofans preview release, can be used with manual configuration in autofan.conf
- Ccminer wildkeccak scratchpad will be removed if the pool is changed
- cpuminer-opt 3.8.8.1 "Refresh" (modified by HiveOS team to get more accuracy temperature + small trick for fix zero temperature after mining during several hours + try network issue fix)

Remarks:
This a preview release of autofans, you can create /hive-config/autofan.conf file and put the values there:
# Target GPU temperature
DEF_TARGET_TEMP=
# Minimal fan speed
DEF_MIN_FAN=30
# Stop mining at critical temp
DEF_CRITICAL_TEMP=85
# Set to 1 to disable AMD fan control
DEF_NO_AMD=0

Web control of autofans settings will be available in Hive 2.0 which is coming soon.
If you planned use auftofan with AMD you must disable this function in miner (Claymore for example)
wow thats a great update, thank you devs.
looking forward for 2.0 release

Survey filled out. What do I need to do next?

Sit back and wait...

The developers have a lot to do so the more they are distracted, the longer this will take.
is there any ETA when the devs are planning for test releases for differenent algos and product release?

v0.5-58 HiveOS Linux GPU client
- update xmr-stak fireice-uk to v2.4.5
- small fix to SimpleRigResetter SRRv2 Watchdog
Any ETA to implement possibility of fan control depending on current GPU temperature?
Thats the only thing that annoy me a little as in my region day/night temperature drops are around 15-20C

wow that`s great news abt token and exchange!
thanks for that dip so i could by more Graft!

So it is always good to buy when the coin is cheap because most of the people failed to buy when the coin is at dips. So grabbing some coin at dips is always good to make money.
indeed, and Graft definately worth it to buy.
But i wouldnt buy too much right now, seems the whole market didnt yet find a bottom and probably goes even lower, even panic bloodbath scenario is possible.

Re: █-█-█-█ SyncAi █-█-█-█ blockchain for Ai & hashpower marketplace
by

I think it's a mistake to mess with tokens and such complications.
Just implement the Nicehash business model and the project will take off like a rocket.

There are already too many distributed AI blockchain projects (DeepBrainChain, Neuromation, the Leonardo rendering thing etc.)  They make it so complicated just to get rich quick without taking any risks. Instead, focus on the actual use case and get something going as quickly as possible. Competition is coming so timing is crucial.

It's hard to do distributed AI due to the bandwidth requirements. I would make things simpler in order to get going more quickly. Set more stringent hardware requirements and let the "miners" deal with it. Look at what DeepBrainChain is doing. They promise a distributed solution but now they are selling high end, pre-built AI hardware and offer hosting. They are basically building a traditional datacenter and letting the "miners" pay for it. All this to buy time and make money quickly. They are selling thousands of these very high end machines (far above 1080 Ti) and the investors are lining up.

Instead, study the Nicehash example. They have made things very simple for sellers of hash power and thus attracted a huge amount of compute power. You could probably just log into their buyers marketplace and calculate the amount of GPU power they have available. Then make some estimation of how much of this is high end enough for AI. All that GPU power would switch to your solution if it would pay more and if it was equally simple to use.
thats a good idea for further development but not for the start, as building such ecosystem as nicehash will take a lot of time, which is crytical for any project in cryptoworld

whats happening to cryptobridge.
at first my 2 RVN deposits were lost, the first one appeared on my balance after 24 hrs or so and second is still missing.
my exchange tab in both DEX and desktop version simply doesnt load.
when im trying to withdraw my BTC is just freezing once i press withdraw button and nothing happens

update: after i manually switched around 10 nodes i found the one (with very high latency) that was workable for me. at least could make a withdrawal for all my funds that were stuck

Could you guys actually post your hashrates instead of "wow this is the best I've ever seen" ?
5x1063 which is used for RVN gave me 32-33mh on average.
turned it off for a while (but maybe not) as found more profitable coin for me

a hundred of 1066 is not worth for solo mining unless you are mining new coins with low network hashrate

David,

This is great!  Thank you for sharing your information with all of us.  I am really excited to see you develop this product and if it all looks as attractive as it does now whenever pre-ordering comes online then I'll be interested in possibly 10+ depending on performance characteristics as this is tested and developed further.

I guess the only question I have at this point is regarding the tangibility of reporting.  You said you wouldn't want to release some shoddy looking video but do you plan to release at least 'some' video that is of a reasonable quality?

Other than that, I would just like to share this little write up on M.2 slot tech.  50-650% data transfer boost is really impressive  https://www.howtogeek.com/320421/what-is-the-m.2-expansion-slot/

I’m sure we can produce a video. I’ll never understand why so many people like to watch videos online, but ok Smiley
Isnt the cost of entry too high for normal miners? You already admitted that prices for memory and FPGA's are high. Are you guys trying to be like AMD/Intel/Nvidia?(using large demand to bring down prices). That would be awesome for sure(low wattage&high h/s), but bitmain will just play dirty again and sell FPGAs too. Conclusion: no GPU miners, almost all coins are mined by FPGA's, no Asics since we have forks. Bitmain won't hurt normal miners at the cost of no gaming card??? (not guaranteed since they have a lot of engineers)hmmm...
dont forget that everything is possible in crypto.
I`m 99% sure that once FPGA usability will be much more explored in mining Chineese vendors will say it`s work and create some cheap FPGAs..
OR there will be such projects like this one which will allow to strenghten GPU mining.
GPU mining will not yet die, there are too many black areas in mining still.

Acorns already outperform price on GPUs on some algorithms.

And that’s only going to progress. Personally I’m not going to stop until we have GPU price parity for FPGA power at FPGA cost. GPUs are not data crunchers they’re just good at it. Right took for the job.
sonds tempting, so looking forward to see the tests and sale/shipping release as soonest
