Re: Ethereum fees are becoming like Bitcoin fees
by
cryptoherr

Yeah the decentraliced finance trend increases ETH fees. Most defi products are built on Ethereum this means a lot of traffic for the network. I myself have a transaction which is stuck since 1 month haha

Re: Governments cannot control Bitcoin
by
cryptoherr
on 23/07/2020, 11:08:10 UTC
The problem is always in the services of the third party, and these can be controlled by the government easily, for example you need the service of the third party in order to trade Bitcoin which is exchanges, of course the government can control the exchanges in that country and force them to request verification through KYC In such a case, the government will be able to view all transactions made by any person who trades in this exchange and pursues it.
This is what governments are doing now and we see an increase in exchanges that are requesting verification by KYC.

Yeah that is currently the problem. By KYC the government can control who buys and sells cryptocurrencies for fiat money. So the next step to make bitcoin stronger should be some possibility to exchange large amounts of crypto for fiat anonymously

Re: What the heck is happening to new projects?
by

The main problem of Bitcointalk bounty is that the quality of the entire forum just got worsen compare to 3-4 year ago before the ICO hype

The Old Bitcointalk is more of crypto discussion, adoption and etc
Nowadays post are mainly Promoting Scams, Wanted Quick Gain - which also lead to greed bounty campaigners to create bad bounty which doesn't even benefit the project who promote it
ICOs have caused this market to collapse, and it also makes this forum not as good as it used to be. Since the launch of the ICO in 2017, there has been a lot of spams and fake accounts, which has caused the quality of the posts to go down and flood the scammer.
Most ICO projects in the year 2017 and 2018 have caused the market to collapse because most of them are scam and unsuccessful. Good thing that there are still promising projects that are continuously developing and have a good value in the crypto market. I also think this forum is still good as it used to be; other crypto users just hated the merit system because they are not able to spam.
The merit system has made the forum a lot cleaner than before. And that is why bitcointalk is so different from other forums, I love and prefer to use it more than anything else.
Indeed. The merit system made everyone in this forum fair that most of them have stopped creating multiple accounts and creating spammed posts or topics.
Also, new bounty projects nowadays are having difficulties making their project successful because of the issue from the last year of 2017 and 2018. A lot of investors and bounty hunters have already lost their interest to participate due to huge numbers of unsuccessful and scam projects.

I think so too. A lot of new investors from 1028 burned theier hand in the huge ICO wave back then. Now those investors have become feweer and those who remained are very cautios in investing in ICOS

Re: Bitcoin dominance falling, time to bag in some alts? altcoin party?
by
cryptoherr
on 22/07/2020, 10:23:44 UTC
Bitcoin dominance is mainly affected by the so called alt season, low BTC dominance could suggest you that altseason where the demand might be higher.

The market is purely unpredictable to me the BTC price looks stable now, Investors will always look for safer investment rather than taking up riskier position. So it's better to wait for few more days and invest accordingly.

Yeah I am with you here, the BTC dominance is affected by altcoin season. The good thing here is if you know about Altcoin season you understand that this is just a seasonal thing and nothing fundamental

My top 5 are Bitcoin with around 60%. I think Bitcoin has already established itself and has become some kind of digital gold for me. The other coins for me are Ethereum, Dash and Stakecube.

Re: CMC: Top DeFi Tokens by Market Capitalization
by
cryptoherr
on 21/07/2020, 09:28:29 UTC
I am starting to scare that so much attention people pay to DEFI coins. There is a lot of excitement now and too many people talk about these coins. when a lot of attention is paid to some kind of coins - scammers coming

Those DeFi projects could be new "ICO fever" because people made a lot of money investing in those projects but when they start dumping it will be bloodbath. I'm not saying that all DeFi projects will fail, but I'm pretty sure that some of them will. Just like with ICOs - some of ICO projects are still alive but a lot of them turn out to be scam to collect money from ICO investors.

I am with you there, the defi trend is growing at the moment. I do think that defi might be a thing in the future but currently there is alot of speculation and a bit fomo in the defi projects market.

Re: Sending in fake ID for KYC

So if you invest real money in the project this means that you should have trust in it. If you have no trust in it i would not invest my or my money in a project. On top of that giving an fake ID makes not the real owner of the account

Wirex is a project that entered the cryptocurrency market too quickly and shows very good results, but I did not invest in it. maybe it's not right, but I don't trust them

Trust is a majore aspect when investing and this counts especially for the crypto space. Therefore your decision is the right one. Besides this wirex seems like it is grwoing very rapidly at the moment

Yeah nearly all crypto coins do reduce their mining reward with the time going on. This leads to an rising Price if the demand stays the same

Re: Best way to store Ripple coins, in my account or download a wallet?
by
cryptoherr
on 11/09/2018, 16:46:55 UTC
it depends on the amount you want to store. A ripple wallet Costs you 25 xrp i think, in order to activate it. So if you want to store samll amounts just use an exchange
