Here is proof from my wallet with 2 masternodes that they work. I did get into a bit of a glitch form the recent 1.1.1 update, but I'm back up:

Masternodes.online is becoming more and more a listing of many coins with masternodes that basically scams. You have to DYR, as always, but I get the sense that there is little to no due diligence from Masternodes.online on listing new coins there.

Re: How many ways are there that we can earn Bitcoin?

There are lots of ways to earn bitcoin and basically it has two options. One is using your money from your pocket if you are planning for investment, trading, and mining. The other one is doing the already mentioned ways without using a single penny out from your pocket and that's through bounty that are available in this forum.

Can you please expand on the bounty option a little?

A step-by-step guide on how to develop and run a "Hello World" sort of app on Holochain would go a long way in increasing the credibility and adoption. I'd be happy to follow it if one exists.

I set up a masternode, and in 15 days of it being active, I've seen only ~2% of collateral rewarded. What have others seen?

I've set up a masternode. It's been about 15 days active and got ~ 2% of the collateral (10,000 SMART) as a reward

I have been excited about Cosmos coin.  The developers have been very active and communicate well to investor on both their discord as well as on here.  I expect big things

I also have been eyeing more adult oriented ICO's since the market for adult oriented theme crypto will always be hide.  Livestars has put together a great platform which catches the eye.

Will it support a masternode setup?

MAsternodes are great source of passive income and i have two of them but the problem is they are mostly expensive to buy
especially if their ROI is great.
But honestly its worth investing in cheaper ones if they are good because of the future growth

If you don't mind me asking, which ones do you have? I've set up Bitradio and Smartcash.

I saw ltcminer.io promoted by someone in a comment to a zerohedge post, and I decided to give it a try.

After spending about $60 worth of LTC, I was able to prove that it's a scam. Their website looks very professional, however, they lure you in to buy the next package above the one they promote as free, they pay if you withdraw small amounts below what you put in, and then all subsequent withdrawals stay as PENDING.

STAY AWAY from ltcminer.io!
That is typically a lame strategy but sadly you lost $60 for their shit and thanks to you everyone would know how greedy those bastards. Their website should be block and someone should pull it down immediately before it scams another person. I just can't imagine that what if hundreds or thousands would put their money on that, those bastards are gonna get rich real quick.

Yes, very lame, not being patient got the best of me. Not to be repeated again.

What is the thing to support and adopt now that will be hughe 5 or more years down the road, completely transforming the way humans live? What's there beyond blockchain that people will look back and say "Blockchain is to the new economy, what coal was to the last economy"?

Just thought of an idea.

How about defining a process where people report a new crypto that supports masternodes as soon as they do, then some techies like myself implement the masternode on a VPS, ask a willing person with the dough for the masternode collateral coins to be sent to the collateral wallet, and share the returns 3 way (the person who found the coin, the techie who set up the masternode, and the person who put up the collateral).

Not sure of the logistics, but this may provide some opportunity to create a community that supports masternodes and profits while doing it.

Thoughts?

I've been playing around with setting up a couple of masternodes for 2 different coins, and I'm pondering whether it's worth the trouble in the long run. I've found that setting up masternodes is not straight forward, especially if you want to use a VPS.

What does the community here think about this?

I'm new in here and I'm do not understand too much about masternode.
Could you please explain more why masternode that worth the trouble in the long run.

I'm also relatively new to the masternodes setup, but I can tell you a bit about it. Essentially, a masternode is any server / computer that runs the coin wallet configured to be up 24/7 behind a static IP, with a declared amount of the coin kept as collateral either on the same wallet, or on an offline remote wallet. The key intent of the masternode is to play a similar role as a miner node in helping transactions validation on the blockchain, but the difference is that it does not need to do POW, since it has POS (amount of coins as collatetal). If you own a masternode, you are often able to vote on which projects get funded from the coin's trasury fund in the  evolution of the coin roadmap. Each coin specifies the amount of collateral to be aet aside, and the coins that are given to the masternode as a reward for being a masternode. Check out masternodes.online for more info.

Re: LTCMiner.io is a scam <<< BEWARE

Sites that expose scam sites include badbitcoin.org and scambitcoin.com. If you're really unsure then make a thread on bitcointalk.

The influx of brainless newbies is so massive, that the few people actually paying attention to these sites are on the very low side. It's not for nothing that genesis mining and a few related garbage holes managed to keep operating for so long. I rather have someone create a list of scam sites and potentially scam sites on Bitcointalk, and then have that thread be stickied on top of the page of the marketplace section by a mod. It will probably have a very small effect, but at least it might translate into less people falling for obvious scams that they see as legit operating 'services', especially with an eye catching clickbait style title, where in this case it isn't clickbait.

It would be nice to have a very visible location on the first page of bitcointalk.org, but how would it be kept up to date without any misleading info? You may have posts that incorrectly identify legitimate projets as scams and vice versa, if it's left up to anybody posting. Having a dedicated team that is on the lookout for such scams with some sort of maker-checker setup to avoid bad postings could potentially work.

I wonder what other scams like this one are there. It would be great if there was some well known scam alert site out thee

Plenty. If you do some research and use your common sense though, you will be able to avoid 99% of these scams. Anything that involves you making a lot of money in a short period of time is deserving to be suspicious of.

LTCminer based on some research is just like a classic ponzi.

The trend recently has been lending platforms, and these can be especially tempting to invest in. Just keep in mind that volatility bots do not exist, otherwise bitconnect would be a gold mine that is still operating.

Sites that expose scam sites include badbitcoin.org and scambitcoin.com. If you're really unsure then make a thread on bitcointalk.

Thank you for your reference to those sites. Very helpful.
