Would be nice to see PayCon trading on a bigger exchange like Poloniex or Bittrex. What do you guys think about that?

It's only a question of time bro, only a question of time.. But to my taste, CON would rather took bigger leap to cryptsy, can even skip the smaller ones for a while..

Investing in an altcoin can be very profitable, however never invest what you can afford to lose.

That's right, I invested in PayCon in relatively early stages and now my coins staked a lot of new coins which can be sold even at a bigger price than I paid for the original ones Smiley
It might be not too late to get in also Smiley I like the idea they carry..

Well after all the post here still gambling is still the fastest way to earn bitcoin . But dont be amazed to the "fastest" way. It is the fastest way also to lose all your btc.

You can't earn by gambling, you can only win by chance, which is smaller than to lose them. Gambling should not be considered as a method to grow your bitcoins, but to spend spare bitcoins for entertainment of playing in casino etc..

hey haters. site is back, rewards are back. deposit and withdrawals works.  Im sure you still hate it, but your "scam" screaming doesnt make much sense, right?

PS: so where is f**king Satoyama now Smiley ?

So what? Ponzi round 2? A lot of ponzies operate in investment rounds... Your goal is to jump in early in the round and reach roi before it collapses.. This scam site however pretends to not be a ponzi but cloudmining services, without providing any proof to back it up. Offering unreachable roi and without any sign of hashrate..

Re: Satoshi probably started a new coin.
by
cryptojumper
on 03/07/2015, 08:15:23 UTC
I wanted to post this before... but I forgot my password, and password reset wasn't working lol... maybe because of forum hack... but anyway.. now it's working again and I am glad I can post again...

Cause I did want to share my thought with you on this... perhaps this theory/hypothesis has already been discussed exactly like this or perhaps not but here goes:

So I think I know who Satoshi might be, all I have to do is think "What would I do if I were him ?" since I am a developer too, so I can think a little bit like him, the story probably goes as follows:

1. Satoshi lost his keys during development... while bitcoin was still worthless.

2. Satoshi got depressed, because bitcoin not worth anything to him anymore... he couldn't mine anymore because of the difficulty increase.

So the next logical thing for him to do is:

3. Start a new coin... and mine it early to get rich once again ! LOL.

PROBLEM SOLVED ! LOL.

And indeed... Satoshi did seem to leave bitcoin....

So the question is which new/alternate coin is he now in ?

Maybe litecoin... or maybe a coin in the future ! Wink =D

Bye,
  Skytoshi ! =D

Absolutely unbelievable scenario.. Even is Satoshi lost some private keys, even without them, he would have been one of the first and the richest in bitcoin because of jumping in so early. Why would he betray his own creation for some shitty alt?
And remember there was no PayCon alternative those days, so not even that was an option Tongue

They don't even list Bitcointalk as a community and they launched here.   Roll Eyes

Maybe they list communities that only embrace doge alone, while Bitcointalk is mainly for Bitcoin and then for many various alts..

Re: CloudMining.website | Starting from 1 GHs @ 0.0008 BTC | Since November 2014

I doubt, if it invests in "cloudmining" like this, because I do not know if the website is really mine, or simply take advantage of a ponzi scheme, for example, just as some cloudmining that have scam, such as hashprofit, ltcgear, zen.

If you are considering investing here please read https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=878387.0 Cloudmining 101 thread first and see their rating. Not that Puppets ratings are 100% correct, but the general consensus among members of this forum is that it is almost accurate.. This CloudMining.website can make a few steps, that are very easy by the way to make for a legitimate business, and prove they are legit, but they refuse to do so and therefore they are ponzi..

Well guys, don't pull out your champagne just yet to celebrate our misery, the site is up, but slow, so things are looking good.  You are sad little people to be so happy at someone else losing money.

Wrong! it's not celebration.

People should mock and bully viciously complete anonymous sites to prevent people losing money.
This kind of sites giving bad name for bitcoin.

Everybody that invested here in Scrypt.CC either knew it was a ponzi and were willing to take a risk or were uneducated crazy noobs that got a lesson they deserve and that will serve them in future Wink

Re: where do i start bitcoin mining?
by
cryptojumper
on 02/07/2015, 06:12:23 UTC
i have researched that mining is an very efficient way of earning some btc (bitcoins). where do i start with mining? should i invest in mining in the cloud or mining equpment? which is better?

Cloudmining is not very profitable.. In fact it's hardly profitable.. Mining at home also.. But if you insist, I would suggest wait for Antminer S6 from Bitmain to mine at home or/and invest in Hashnest if you are up to try cloudmining. All the others are more risky and about the same profitable. Not talking about ponzies (which may seem more profitable, but are going to steal your money in the end..), but legit operations of course Wink

Re: Your thoughts on Greece? What's the most likely outcome in your opinion?
by
cryptojumper
on 02/07/2015, 05:47:17 UTC
I think EU don't need Greece that much really, all these talks about EURO collapsing are way too much exaggerated and unsound. If Greece does not want to live by the financial terms they themselves got into then it's their choice..

The thing is, if Greece leaves then Spain and Italy could be next, possibly France. I think the EU has been shady and borderline fraudulent throughout all this. They cooked the numbers to even get Greece into the EU in the first place. The Greek economy did not meet the requirements and they knew it in Brussels. It looks now like it was always about privatizing Greece's public sphere and looting their economy with predatory lending. The same BS the global 1% NWO assholes are trying to pull all over the world. At some point these a-hole bankers will probably demand that Greece hand over the Acropolis as a dept payment. Hopefully their whole system of power will collapse before it comes to that tho.

The creditors helped Greece to get into the situation, there's no doubt about that. But what's done is done.. Now, however, the circumstances are such that Greece are in no position to demand something, but they don't seem to realize it or pretend to not realize it and are pushing themselves into further troubles..

by

Up until break even, you are just receiving your own money back.

You are technically right, but in this forum roi often means that you got your money back (since you lose them most of the time lol).

According to wikipedia
return on investment = (gain from investment – cost of investment) / cost of investment
or
return on investment (%) = (Net profit / Investment) × 100
where:
Net profit = gross profit − expenses.

So if your cloudmining contract repaid itself, but did not generate any profit, it would be most accurate to say it was 0% roi, but it's no fun Tongue

For me, ROI can also be seen as a time unit, maybe there is a correct word for it, too.

So: ROI could be 13 months, for example, meaning the time to reach break even (0 expenses, 0 profits).

It's more a return OF investment than ON investment if you look at it this way. But I copied an official explanation of this ecomonic term. Of course it is often being used a bit differently in these forums..
