Ive been using greenwallet on IOS for years never had a problem. Electrum is running on windows 11 did a scan with windows defender no virus's detected or malware
Thank you everyone for the replies. I actively use a HWW. I was just wondering if electrum was a better idea than a mobile hot wallet (i.e greenwallet) for small amounts.
Both are the same. Actually, it depends on you, if you have an infected pc, electrum wont help you and vice versa, same for mobile wallet. Remember, "The weakest link in any chain of security is not the security itself, but the person operating it". Btw, Im using mobile hot wallet for years and I never had any problems, coz I know if I dont do anything wrong (clicking random links, downloading untrusted apps, etc), I wont face any brutal consequences.

Electrum desktop wallet question.

I have always been hesitant on desktop wallets because you need to enter the priv key on a keyboard to recover it. How do I know I'm safe and I'm not getting keystroked or my priv key isn't getting exposed?
Is there somewhere I can check on my security settings or am I just being overly paranoid?
I am trying out electrum but I am not 100% sure I can trust a desktop wallet.

Only time Id be force to sell is during a bull run or if I had no more work, burnt all my savings, burnt all my credit cards and personal line of credit and cashed out all my investments.

Re: Very thankful for what bitcoin has done for me.
Sorry, but it is not really clear what BTC has done to your life. Does BTC make you rich or what? Please make it more detailed, dude!
From what I've understood from his post, it's all about being financially free and having the freedom back that he's allocated to other things before. So that's most likely the summary of his post about being thankful for bitcoin. Also, he's got a job that's being paid in bitcoin.
I know without bitcoin I would never have this life. Thank you satoshi
True story mate. We all won't be feeling like what you're feeling right now if it were not for bitcoin. Using it as a payment for remote tasks, transfers and also as an investment at the same time, we're all grateful that there's satoshi who has invented it.
Bitcoin gave me the ability to leave my country and live life in another.I voted with my money on where and how I want to live and work.

Bitcoin has brought so much more meaning into my life.
Years ago when I thought the system had me and I wasn't making any money I fell upon bitcoin. At first, I was there for just the monetary gain but then I after I realized that bitcoin gives you your time back I discovered ways to hustle harder and stack my time with btc. Long story short I am able to work remotley and live anywhere and be happy with what I have because I know without bitcoin I would never have this life. Thank you satoshi
