Today, June 10th, at 12:55 CEST, æternity network reached block #441.444 which was the proposed block for the Iris Hard Fork activation.
The core dev team at æternity foundation has been closely monitoring the status of the network, updated nodes and allocation of hashing power and this is the outcome of the proposed hard fork.
2miners, who produced block #441.444, WoolyPooly, and beepool have all updated their nodes to v6.0.0, which does not come as a surprise given the fact that out of the last 737 block generations, there is only a single block that was produced by a node with a different version than 6.0.0, which later produced a block using v.6.0.0.
The whole æternity æcosystem is excited to enter this new phase of the æternity network which will undoubtedly foster further growth of the æcosystem, to fulfill the vision of æternity contributing to a more decentralized, private, and free world.

Pick 2: Applying Lessons from the Electric Car to the Path to 100% Decentralization
As you may be aware, Storj operates Storj DCS (Decentralized Cloud Storage), the industry’s first enterprise-grade, economically sustainable, decentralized storage service with an S3 compatible Gateway.
However, the purists in the community (and in Storj as well) will correctly point out that we’re not 100% decentralized with regard to Satellites. While Satellites are highly distributed and highly redundant, they’re not fully decentralized within the Storj network. We intend to make them fully decentralized over time, but this was a conscientious choice to go to market with this intermediate stage first.
A few thoughts on why:
As you may be aware, Storj operates Storj DCS (Decentralized Cloud Storage), the industry’s first enterprise-grade, economically sustainable, decentralized storage service with an S3 compatible Gateway.

Spurred by the changes started in 2020 and anticipating the rising demand for blockchain-based solutions, our team has worked hard to introduce upgrades to the XPOS ecosystem, Pundi X tokens, Function X blockchain, and more. All of these are small but crucial steps in educating people on the power of blockchain and digital currencies.
In the first half of 2021, we’ve accomplished about 70% of the items which we had set out in our previous roadmap. Some items took longer than expected due to changing compliance requirements in different countries. Some items that we are planning to migrate to the upcoming Function X blockchain take time to explore interoperability and how we can leverage to amplify the utilities.
