You invested in an ICO for over a year and you didn't hear anything from the team for over a year, only that is Red flag on it's own. Now, you received email talking about KYC, that's a very serious matter, if it's scam, they may want to receive investors Identity and sell out. I concur with you but at the same time I disagreed with you basically because it depends on the kind of job you have at hand and the condition which made you accept the job at first. If the job is giving you joy, you may not quit but if the job is a kind of job that you believe it doesn’t suits your standards rite from my time, you may quit
