- Remove the cards that are no longer available to order. For example, Uquid, Coinsbank, Paycent and Shift card. I realize that it's mentioned once you click on the card, but IMO, you should either list them separately or not list them at all.
- Review the newest cards on the market: GetSpendl (virtual card) and TTMBank.
- You should rename the "US allowed" column to "Regions allowed" and list all the supported regions (MENA, EU, US, UK, APAC, etc.)
- Add details about the costs of each card (production and shipping).

OmegaStarScream,

Thank you for your very helpful feedback! Your thoughts are very wise. We have been reasoning as follows:

- Remove the cards that are no longer available to order. For example, Uquid, Coinsbank, Paycent and Shift card. I realize that it's mentioned once you click on the card, but IMO, you should either list them separately or not list them at all. COULDN'T AGREE MORE, WE ARE WORKING ON CREATING A "CARD GRAVEYARD" AS WELL SO WE CAN CLEAN OUT THE CRYPTO DEBIT CARD FROM CORPSES.
- Review the newest cards on the market: GetSpendl (virtual card) and TTMBank. DULY NOTED, WILL PUT THIS ON THE TO DO LIST.
- You should rename the "US allowed" column to "Regions allowed" and list all the supported regions (MENA, EU, US, UK, APAC, etc.) NOT A BAD IDEA. HOWEVER, WE ARE CONSIDERING KILLING THIS COLUMN ALTOGETHER AND INCLUDE THAT INFORMATION IN THE REVIEW INSTEAD. WE HAVE A MAXIMUM WIDTH WE CAN WORK WITH IN THE LIST, AND THAT WIDTH MIGHT BE BETTER UTILIZED BY WITH INFO ON FEES INSTEAD (SEE BELOW)
- Add details about the costs of each card (production and shipping). I'M THINKING THAT THE MOST IMPORTANT FEATURES TO INCLUDE WOULD BE (I) COMMISSION ON SPENDING, AND (II) CASHBACK-PERCENTAGE.

What's your view on the latter part? We could of course include production and shipping costs as well, but my thinking is that spending commission and cashback percentage is more relevant to the card holder seeing as they are recurring costs/bonuses.

Thanks!

All the best,
Richard

same here, am dying here to see some reviews on ttmbank, are they honest, or will they steal your money ! one can never tell these days in the crypto market full of scammers unfortunately !...

Thanks - will put TTM Bank in our pipeline!

All the best,
Richard

Seems that you are working really hard for a better user experience of your platform. Good thing that you gets responses from possible end-users on ideas yet also be knowledgeable as well with the past suggestions that you could imply in your overall platform. In example, I'd still suggest the ideas I've suggested recently:
  • sorting method whereas users can click the column title to sort everything in either ascending or descending order since you are using table to show the data
  • the underline and over-weighted card name.

With that, I hope you could imply it in your overall design. I'm not onto cards so I'm fine with the list. Just, its good to have a consistent front end.

Ps. If you want to have a front-end mockup, I'd be please to submit my suggestion. I can also style it with CSS. Feel free to slide me a DM.
Here's my thread with a UI/UX mockup - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5296215.msg55743329#msg55743329

Thanks insanerman! We have saved all feedback we receive on Bitcointalk in an internal working document, so no suggestions will be forgotten. The sorting mechanism is apparently a bit tricky to develop and our devs are swamped with work at the moment. But yes, I fully agree that such a function would be very helpful, in particular in our Exchange List.

Design-comments are also noted and will be considered more closely.

Thanks again!

Best,
Richard

I think design is too old. Fashionable design needs more curves and animations. Moreover, I see that you have not all popular languages (Have Portugese, but there is no Chinese, really strange). Instruments are really useful and I think there is no problem with it

Thank you nykka for expressing your views! Translation to Chinese is actually in our pipeline - will let you once it is finished.

Best,
Richard

User nykka is pure spammer, he wrote something here just to fill in the signature quota.

I am not sure about multilanguage, you must hire someone for that job. it will cost you a lot.  I hope you do not plan to add Google translate the plugin to do it automatically, it is never a good solution.
About fashionable design and animations, I would not accept that. Your webpage is not for fun, it's more of an informative nature and the information that will be found there is much more important than that it is all decorated with animation. Plus, animations always slowing down the website, so you don't want to lose visitors because of slow loading.

Thanks for clarifying, examplens, very helpful again. We have hired well-reputed translators for all of our translations. We currently have Korean, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese and German (in addition to English). I personally agree whole-heartedly with you regarding the design vs content reasoning.

With kind regards,
Richard

I agree with all suggestion by OmegaStarScream especially about "US allowed". It sounds your list is dedicated to the US people. I am coming from the EU and this list is not informative for me.
it is not necessary to make a separate column for each region, maybe you can add a badge-flag of supported regions. Or maybe you can add hint when hover mouse on that field. btw. field "wallet included" has the largest width even if they only need for yes/no symbol.

Thanks examplens, we'll consider this. Badge flags might be the way to go.

You are right that wallet included takes up too much space. We will probably delete this column from the list and just include that info on the detail pages of each card provider instead.

Thank you!

Hi ETFbitcoin,

Thank you very much for your feedback! I have included answers in CAPS below. Very helpful indeed.

With kind regards,
Richard

1. For "Fees" column, make description (could be on bottom of the page) about how you classify the fee. People only can guess "$" means low fees in general. YOU'RE RIGHT. WE'RE THINKING THAT MAYBE WE SHOULD DELETE THIS COLUMN AND REPLACE THEM WITH TWO OTHER COLUMNS: (I) SPENDING COMMISSION (THE MOST IMPORTANT FEE), AND (II) CASHBACK PERCENTAGE.
2. On top of page it has sentence "Compare between fees, spending limits, funding methods and much more. ", but i couldn't find column about spending limit. Either add it to the column or fix the sentence. NICE CATCH! WE WILL CHANGE THIS TODAY. SPENDING LIMITS ARE SPECIFIED IN THE ACTUAL REVIEWS BUT NOT, AS YOU CORRECTLY POINT OUT, IN THE LIST.
3. If the list is far longer than now, you want to consider filter feature. AGREED.

What's your view on the latter part? We could of course include production and shipping costs as well, but my thinking is that spending commission and cashback percentage is more relevant to the card holder seeing as they are recurring costs/bonuses.

If the initial cost (production & shipping fee) are very high, few people might look for another card. OK, WE WILL THINK ABOUT THIS.

Maybe you can add what countries are not supported and what are supported for each card, and I would like to see exact fees and if there are any monthly fees or not.
Other thing you can do is what cryptocurrencies are supported for each card (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc...)

I think Swipe and Plutus cards are missing from your list and maybe others also:
https://swipe.io/cards
https://plutus.it/

Hi dkbit98,

Thank you very much for this helpful feedback. We will thinkg about how to display supported/restricted countries. The exact fees and supported cryptos are specified in each review (if you click on the card), but we'll consider if we should specify this in a better manner in the actual list also. Thank you for the feedback!

Thanks also for informing us about the missing cards. We will look into this.

All the best,
Richard

Hi there Bitcointalkers!

Richard from Cryptowisser here again. We recently posted a request for feedback on our Exchange List, and here we go again (but for our Crypto Debit Card List).

  • what do you feel is missing from the Debit Card List?
what do you feel is unnecessary info or just dead weight, in the Debit Card List?
any other ideas on how to improve it?

We consider each suggestion very carefully. Thank you in advance!

When you have cast your vote, if you try doing a hard refresh, does the vote not show then? If it does not show, there's something wrong which we will definitely need to fix ASAP.

Yet it seems to work ok. My bad. I checked in different browsers, and my vote is counted only once.
However, I hope you will be able to protect this voting system from manipulation.

btw. I think it would be good to write somewhere (maybe at the bottom of the page) that some links can contain an affiliate link. some platforms (FB for example) are quite restrictive when it comes to sharing referral links, if you have made this clear, you reduce your chances of being blacklisted from their side.

Great, thanks for letting us know examplens!

Thank you also for the recommendation on affiliate links. There are indeed such links on our site. We will definitely examine this further.

All the best,
Richard

I am not sure how is "user score" working there. I vote for one exchange, but there is no change and my vote is not counted. Also, I can vote unlimited time to one exchange so if all of them counted, it's easy to manipulate with that rating.
I find some of the high-risk exchanges on your list, for example, p2pb2b, sistemkoin etc... All of them had a 3.7-3.8 user rating, which may sound tolerable to a beginner. can ignore the many problems they have and the difficulties in working with them. I guess you don’t want to be an intermediary in their dubious business.

Hi examplens,

Thank you very much for your feedback. We also recognize that you have been a very helpful commenter in the past.

When you have cast your vote, if you try doing a hard refresh, does the vote not show then? If it does not show, there's something wrong which we will definitely need to fix ASAP.

The voting system is also designed to block multiple votes from the same person. Finally, if we would see that - within a short period of time - a certain exchange receives a lot of 5-star ratings and the other exchanges receive a lot of 1-star ratings - we will examine this more closely and we can roll back votes that are cast as a try to abuse the system.

Best,
Richard

  • any other ideas on how to improve it?
Here are my suggestions:

  • Adding another filter [apart from Continent] for choosing exchanges based on their origins [specific country].
  • Instead of having "US allowed column", you might want to replace it with "Restriction column" while showing restricted countries upon hovering over that column...
    - As it stands, you're focusing on the US alone while leaving other countries out.
  • Speed improvements...
    - There's a noticeable lag/delay upon clicking the dropdown button for the "Continent" filter.

SFR10,

Thank you for being a continuing source of improvement for us. We know that you have been helpful in providing feedback at previous occasions as well.

We will take your suggestions into careful consideration. Thanks!

I would add 1 or 2 filters in the 'Wallet' category
The first to give the option to get the list sorted according to their type: web-based wallets, hardware, and others.
The second would be to sort the list according to the OS: Windows, GNU/Linux, Android, and others

To categorize the list of merchants.
You will sooner or later end up with a list that is too big to search for something effectively. Categorizing them can be helpful for the visitor

The exchange list is too big, filters are more than necessary here.

Overall, the site is great and simple, just need some updates here and there. For example, Lavapay closed and isn't online anymore, the same goes for BonPay. I didn't check all of them just the 2 sites mentioned since I was curious because I didn't hear about them recently

The 'debit cards' category
The name of the cards redirects people to their respective reviews. In these reviews, It might be useful for visitors to have a link to go to the site in question. This would avoid having to go to a search engine to enter the name of the journal.

Edit:
My bad, I realized there is already a "visit" button on the right of the debit cards page. Sorry

LeGaulois!

Thank you VERY MUCH for your helpful feedback. We will take all of these suggestions into account when developing the lists going forward. Great!

All the best,
Richard

  • what do you feel is missing from the Exchange List?

  • any other ideas on how to improve it?

Its nice seeing another project made by a user here! Honestly, I myself am a designer and a little bit web developer and I have many suggestions that would (for me) improve your platform in various ways possible.

  • When 'traded currencies' are selected, it is better not to show a bold stroke on the text input, and better have it on the outside of the element, the same as how you highlight the input element in 'max fee'. You can rather put a placeholder in it by using a placeholder tag so that we know that such element accepts text input.
  • In the same 'traded currency' input element, it is good to have a logo beside the results. And if possible, it is also good to be a dropdown element whereas it shows cryptos that are popular based on the ranking in the market. If you are getting its result data from an API, most APIs also have the crypto's logo so you might fetch it easily.
  • Decentralized isn't a continent lol. You can either have a checkbox whereas it says Decentralized and make it on default checked with same dropdown button beside it for the continent whereas it is disabled by default, and just show DEX on results. And when the user unchecks it, it would enable the continent dropdown element.
  • Additional Options can below the boxes in one straight row as it was only little checkboxes (still, keep a good padding and alignment, do not congest!), then the Filter fits right beside the max fee.
  • You can also make the whole filters be in a single div, and it can be hidden and shown with a dropping down element (very optional)
  • Since all the data is displayed in a table, you can actually have a filter in it by simply clicking the titles that would filter everything based on the selected column title, the same as how the forum filters data.
  • IMPORTANT: Remove the underline on the names. you can just make the whole row clickable and redirect us to the info page of the exchange.
  • Better have only 2 to 3 colors. If your main theme is blue, just have both blue and white and just use an additional complementary color to blue for important elements (such as sponsored listing).
  • DARK MODEEE  Grin

Those where just my little suggestion in the page you've indicated. I hope you'd be fine with this suggestions lol. Goodluck!

Insanerman! Thank you SO MUCH for this. Extremely helpful and we are both honored and flattered that you have spent time reviewing and contemplating. Wow. I'll sit down with my CTO and see which of your changes we can act upon. Thanks again!!

Website is looking nice but I would like to suggest adding some additional information.
For example you can add if exchange have mandatory KYC or not, and if there are free tiers for trading coins without sending them any documents.

One small design change for website could be adding dark/light theme switch.

Hi there dkbit98,

Thank you very much for this feedback. We have contemplated adding a KYC-column before and will now contemplate it further. Great feedback!

Thank you also for the design change suggestion! We are aware that most exchanges have this optionality and we will analyze what steps we would need to take in order to achieve this.

Again, thank you, it is much appreciated.

All the best,
Richard

Hi there Bitcointalkers!

Richard from Cryptowisser here.

You have been so helpful to us over the years when we have asked for advice. Our exchange list has gone from being a small hobby-type project to one of the most well-renowned such resources in the world. In big part thanks to you! We now have around 250K visitors a month and it's growing day by day.

We are spending January-February focusing on improving our resources (lists + reviews), and wanted to ask you the following:

  • what do you feel is missing from the Exchange List?
  • what do you feel is unnecessary info or just dead weight, in the Exchange List?
  • any other ideas on how to improve it?

We consider each suggestion very carefully. Thank you in advance!

It feels a bit slower to load than the old site but it definitely looks more modern. Compared to the old site I feel like I'm getting a slight information overload, but I guess you also added more content since I last saw the site.

In my opinion you should reconsider the way you rank exchanges. Ranking by user scores is prone to manipulation. That's probably also why you have relatively unknown exchanges leading the list with more established ranking closer to the middle or even the bottom.

One metric I'm missing from the exchanges list is for how long they've been active. I personally am more willing to trust an exchange that's been running reliably for 10 years with a slightly misconfigured SSL set-up then the new kid on he block that may know how to run the Letsencrypt certbot properly but has no idea about operational security.

Hi again HeRetiK!

Just wanted to follow up and let you know that we have followed your suggestion and included an Active Since-column for all exchanges: https://www.cryptowisser.com/exchanges/

Thanks for your constructive feedback. Happy to hear your thoughts on the implementation.
