Exrates deposit is closed. Does anyone know why, or when it will be back up? Are there any other exchanges for CSC?

Is there info how much these "new" CSC coins will be worth/trading for?

It's currently trading on Alcurex for ~4 satoshis.

Would that be 'casinos' using the closed loop Prypto system to accept customer deposits (which is what everyone is waiting for with baited breath) or 'casinos' using CSC as a payment method to purchase services, such as location confirmation etc?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think that (Prypto) experiment failed?

Prypto was an elaborate pump & dump. Granted, it brought the price floor up from all the hype, but it's clear now that Prypto was never going to launch anything, and all of their "announcements" were fabrications.

I've bit the bullet and installed the new client, but the swap process stopped working for me.
Are swaps still being processed? My last one is  >60hours old and in status "Moved to Cold Storage".

Thanks.

The swaps have been taking longer than they say. The website says it will be done within 48 hours, but my experience has been that it takes 2-5 days. I've been swapping 20% of my coins at a time just to make sure that I don't lose everything in case something goes bad. I've always gotten my swapped coins though.

I would advise you to just be patient. It's all being done manually. You'll probably get your swapped coins within the next day or so.

You can check the swaplist (http://casinocoin.org/swaplist/) and see that (with one large exception) the oldest open swap is about 72 hours old. You can also see all the previous transactions that have gone through and been finalized.

It's not dead, people are still around. Mark is currently in a bad situation but is getting it sorted out now. Medic and Neleonele are in contact with him frequently, probably on a daily basis.

The multi user wallet app is supposed to be done or be very close to being done. I'm not sure exactly.

This is all really vague, and doesn't answer any of my questions.

1. Why don't we have any updates that were supposed to come out 5 weeks ago?
2. What is the next expected update?
3. When can we expect the next update?
4. Is anyone working on Marking?
5. Can we get regular updates on what is happening?

No it's not vague ... Mark is homeless at the moment, ... do you think he gives a fuck about BTM at this very moment? Have some compassion you insensitive motherfucker. Imagine being homeless .. do you think Mark has any capacity for anything else other than survival? Keep it real dude!!!

It is vague. "in a bad situation" "getting it sorted out" "probably on a daily basis."  "supposed to be done or very close to being done." None of these statements actually tell me anything about the current progress of Bitmark.

As for Mark himself, he has proven and admitted that he lies compulsively to cover his own fuckups. I'm not yet convinced that he's actually homeless, much less working on the code he says he's working on. Call me insensitive if you want, but until I see proof of progress, I will take all of his words with a grain of salt. "Fool me once, shame on you..." and all that.

Besides, I wasn't even talking about Mark when I asked for updates. From what I can tell, there should be at least 5-6 developers working on different aspects for BTM. I am actually asking for any update from anybody at this point. Just because Mark is divorced and homeless doesn't mean nobody else can do anything. Yet there has been no news from anyone else either.

This is from slack #general and will hopefully answer some questions:
(I'm assuming this is ok to post since it's all in a public channel. If someone wants to take it down let me know.)

"There should be some tangible developments for the community around the week of May 1st."

Any updates on what that might be, or do we just need to wait?

From what I know all we have left now is to wait :p

But not too long Smiley the first deliverable is well under way and I'm free all week with it being my primary focus.

Is BTM dead? We haven't gotten any updates in over a month. There's no news on diff algorithm change. Someone dumped 25k BTM on Poloniex, taking a shit on the price. The only activity in this thread now is people trying to sell what they have before they lose it all.

Is there any active development going on? Can we expect updates? Can we expect marking to be released? Can we expect any news at all? Or is this the end of the line for Bitmark?

the chart looks like just another pump and dump.

That's because it was Pumped & Dumped. I don't know for sure who was behind it, but Mark (and possibly others) was aware that it was happening.

Here is a conversation I had with him in August when he was asking for "developer loans." Knowing what I know now, I'm glad that he didn't take it. Sounds like I never would have seen my BTM again.

Eh, that was August well before the period in September when BTM had it's big run up. The whole thing ended being blown out of proportion and what actually happened was some of the people we feared as 'pumpers' just ended up becoming valuable members of the community.

The "run up" started 3 weeks after that conversation, and increased the price by 1600%. You're telling me these two events are completely unrelated?

Made a deposit to Poloniex on Sunday. I still only have 5 of 6 confirmations. Meanwhile, the price has dropped 25%.

Yes unethical behaviour occurred, on my part. I dipped in to a trading fund a few times for basic needs, and over time it mounted up, I'd hoped to simply trade back up again, but given a negative climate I started to dig a financial hole

Can someone explain what this trading fund is?

There is rough consensus between those actively involved in Bitmark that:

1: Any decision on whether to implement this should come after Marking is Ready for Market.
2: Feedback on the proposal should be collated, and reviewed at our Sunday meetings.
3: Discussion should not detract from our key focus, which is marking.

Thanks,

My opinion is that the algo should be implemented as soon as possible. Say what you want about supply and demand, demand vs price, and Marking not being implemented, but part of the reason that people aren't interested in Bitmark is because it takes a full day (sometimes two) just to complete a transaction.

The talks about mining and algo are always centered around coin supply, but ignore the fact that minting coins is a side effect of mining. The purpose of mining is to secure the network and facilitate transactions. But, because there is no incentive for mining with the current diff, that part is failing.

I'm doing some blockchain analysis. If anybody could happen to be able to claim any of the following addresses, it would be really helpful.

I had pretty hard month with altcoins....

Payzor Coin

I suggest that we should stop those scams.

Well... about Payzor Coin - devs wanted a game which I developed for them, so automatically I joined PayzorCoin community as my reward for a game was some amount of PayzorCoins.

I don't know anything about the other coins, but I can't feel bad for you about this one. Payzor was making ludicrous claims for hype/marketing effect (first crypto-ATM, partnering with Lamassu...). It cost him how much for the game to add more hype? 500PZR? 1000? Since he premined 45,000 (3%!!), that was nothing for him. And it kept the hype going while he slowly dumped his coins on the market.

PZR not exactly a scam - price dropped and dev disappeared but said he wont do ATM with such prices but delivered the coin itself.

It is a scam. Check the explorer. Dev finished dumping his 45,000PZR the same day he said he won't do the ATM and disappeared.
