I downloaded the new 0.9.4 wallet and but I'm not able to able to sync to the network as I get the message 'No Block Source Available' and the blockchain is not downloading. How do I get this issue fixed?
You're not exactly instilling trust by dismissing the questions and refusing to give personal info. A lot of people have already lost money on past crypto launches. It makes perfect sense to demand some proof of ID and some extra info on the devs. You don't need to answer everything but if you want people to invest, you'll need to offer more info on yourself and other devs to build trust.
Yes, revealing your ID to one source should not be a problem. Given that you are already investing so much into the coin.

Re: Big News for Alts. 2nd proper AE implemented this week.(Qora)
How is this going to be better than NXT's asset exchange?
Well firstly it's gonna be different, better is what you asked but that is subjective. I could ask why is NXT better than Qora?
Anyway technically I know one advantage that over the standard NXT AE that you don't have to convert An asset first to NXT before you can buy an asset. Apparently you can now do that with the development of NXT secure asset exchange but you got to use another wallet.
BUT the point is missed, an asset exchange is a platform just like Android and OSX, they both do the same job but they are different. If you hold Gold in Qora AE it's no different to Gold held in NXT. So really there is market share to be had and competed for. What will matter in the end is which one people prefer to use. Your question is therefore a bit like saying we already have BTER why do we need Mintpal?
I'm sure some people wondered why they needed Facebook when we already have MySpace.
Ya I can see how there can be room for multiple established platform in this space...would be interesting to see the innovative applications that can come out of cryptocurrency asset exchanges.

It was aimed at atoni, I don't care how big your dick is. I correct FUD wherever I find it.
How was it a fud? there order books are completely empty but the most funny is how they claim to have 300 btc volume lol
you gotta remember that Qora is very young compared to NXT. The dev is really competent, churns out features at an unbelievable rate. Qora is still more or less undiscovered, but has an awesome community around it already. Ofcourse there would be room for more than one system to grow. I'm sure a few years down the line, both the systems would borrow/learn from each other. Success in this domain is not mutually exclusive.

Re: [Moderated] [ANN][URO] A Real Long Term Currency: 1 Uro = 1 Metric Tonne Urea
I am CEO of BlockCypher (Catheryne Nicholson). I am posting this as an official statement from our company:
We at BlockCypher have agreed to host the Urocoin block chain on BlockCypher's infrastructure. This allows the Uro Foundation to leverage BlockCypher's platform and APIs. In return, the Uro Foundation has agreed to compensate BlockCypher for the development and hosting cost for their block chain.
We understand startups have to fight uphill for an ideal they believe in. We also believe in the opportunity for digital coins to back commodities. In that spirit, we are helping the Uro Foundation with the platform piece. BlockCypher's infrastructure was designed to host a multitude of block chains. What we are helping Uro with aligns with our vision of a world with multiple digital coins.
BlockCypher holds itself to the highest standards of integrity and transparency. Should it come to our attention that illegal activity or trade, gross misrepresentation, or outright theft has occurred, BlockCypher reserves the right to take appropriate action.
This is great! Thx for your support.

Re: [Moderated] [ANN][URO] A Real Long Term Currency: 1 Uro = 1 Metric Tonne Urea
My post seems to have gone missing for some reason. Let's do it once more...
Not to troll or FUD, but why does a multi-million dollar corporate alliance need donors to come up with (relatively) puny 10BTC to expand their userfrendliness. I'm not a whale and I could only commit 2BTC to a proof of urea purchase and delivery. After all, when (if?) that irrefutable proof comes in I'll make much more on URO. Yet, even to me, 10BTC is not that much...
My train of logic is that even though the 4 companies are backing and supporting URO. They cannot be seen as directly funding it. It is in everyone's interest that URO remains an independent community that is not directly funded by any third party but by the community and it's supporters. This would be very important to get other suppliers to sign on in the future.

Re: [Moderated] [ANN][URO] A Real Long Term Currency: 1 Uro = 1 Metric Tonne Urea
question is... did the FUD kill this coin... XC experienced the same thing... such strong FUD can basically fuck a coin from ever gaining traction regardless how legitimate it is. There are still people online who accuse XC as a scam yet its obviously not. People get a first impression and embed it in their mind and sell and leave. No changing their mind it seems.
Think the situation will be different than XC because the amount of media attention that URO will generate in the coming weeks will be very strong. Everyone I talk to about this coin, even people who dont follow cryptos, feels this concept is a big deal. No offense to the XC team, I'm sure they are doing a great job, but URO will be at different playing field. Right now is a chance for us crypto investors to move into a position in uro. Very soon outside money is going to pour into uro. Dont think the fate of this coin is in the hands of crypto investors alone(unlike most other coins). Right at this moment we are the only ones investing into this coin, but it wont be for long.

For sane people who actually want to discuss the legitimate pros and cons of uro, I would strongly recommend moving over to the moderated thread,
Good idea to start a new 'moderated' thread. The official one was crazy beyond belief.
Perhaps the Dev will get involved again with this one to put minds at rest.
The dev is pretty active on the IRC chat #URO. But do understand that this is a massive undertaking that requires a lot of online and offline co-ordination. I have been following URO from the first week and the dev has clarified a large number of genuine doubts, many of which I myself have had when I heard about uro for the first time. The more informed members would be happy to clarify what we know so the questions that have already been clarified don't require dev's time.
This project will make history in crypto currency because it will stabilize the price on the URO coin through the price from UREA MT. You cant say that from bitcoin, bitcoin has not set foot were it goes in the future. So this URO coin will be a good hedge vs bitcoins.
Also in the future the price of UREA will keep rising and we have a stabilize altcoin "URO" that we can use for anything to pay for and not be afraid it will collapse in dust. Because UREA cant be dust because the world populations need UREA
Here you can look up from up to 30 years of history about UREA prices, the price of UREA keep rising so that means in the longterm URO coin will increase in value
We need to get URO noticed by the chemical distributors themselves. I used to work for a Canadian ingredient distribution company that was a member of this group http://www.cacd.ca/
The Canadian Association of Chemical Distributors.
They have a quarterly publication called the "Chemunicator". We need to get URO in this quarterly publication ASAP. Here's the latest Chemunicator
