This thread should be called "AMP trading and speculation" but not an official ANN thread ><

Maybe a pair of "clean and moderated" + "unmoderated" threads would work.

I see AMP going up until 13 august. On 13 august I see another dump happening.
Well it could, but out from that point, if there is any interest by those that want to promote their content then they have to start buying Amps.

Or.. they will get AMPs for free from Synereo as a reward for their content and their interest in WildSpark.

I'm only speculating, but I see this as a possibility because there exists "Content Creator Wallet" and Synereo has not clarified their emission plans. Still searching for the "they will give maximum 20 million amps" claim from "february".

Various questions (also of myself) have passed here on bitcointalk and the team never answered. Go have a look at NAV bitcointalk. You ask a question there and the team will reply to you. They will even reply to your mailbox in a private message. Now it appears they do answer on slack. Great, but I am not on it. And I am sure not the only one not being on slack. If you do things seriously, you answer to questions on every channel that is visited by investors. Bitcointalk is an important channel and people's questions deserve to be answered here as well.

Same here. I've been redirected to Slack several times. They miss the point. People ask questions on Bitcointalk and Reddit, and instead of answers they are asked to make yet another account, load megabytes of sucky Slack javascript, waste their batteries and then filter through a typical "3k+ user chat" mess looking for answers to their questions.

edit: now with the AMA announcement, everyone who asked questions in the past has to re-submit them to their Google form. The attitude I'm sensing here is: it's not Synereo carefully listening and answering, it is Synereo generously giving investors a chance to catch the moment and ask, once in a while.

and they would burn many coins as they had told in february. And they had also told that they will give maximum 20 million amps which they have set aside as rewards for boosting adoption of users

I don't see any blog posts in Feb 2017. Could you provide a link to these claims?

I think the referral/advertising business will be the biggest target audience for this app. We can easily see the price at 0.03 BTC in notime.

In your estimation do you consider the possibility of circulating supply increase?

Currently there are 84 mil AMPs. If it stays fixed and WildSpark is successful and more people want AMPs and they start buying AMPs, this will lead to price increase.

But recently I'm thinking of other scenario.

Steemit exploited initial large payouts to bootstrap their economy and attract lots of media coverage with headlines like Steemit awards $1.3 Million to Users. (Although it is amazing how posts like this can earn $6k).

Synereo has "User Reward Wallet" and "Content Creator Wallet" totalling 175 mil AMPs. They may decide to start giving them away to content creators and curators to bootstrap the economy. For the economy in general this would be broader distribution, which is good. For investors hoping for supply scarcity this would be direct supply dilution and selling pressure.

This is the address I invested in on 2nd sale: https://blockchain.info/address/3CtiKLz2Ke423oh1mGY3oPPhDA8shKxpNb

What is the balance ? Where are all the coins now ?

Good find! Most coins from xpNb and Xmxw addresses ended up at JZPQ which looks like an intermediate exchange address to my eye.

They could have sold BTC to fiat to avoid BTC price volatility, or simply move the coins somewhere else.

To prevent speculation about potential money waste and cashing out, they could start reporting. Every 1-4 months publish a statement how the money was spent and how much fiat/crypto is left. After 2 crowdsales and 2 years of work it would be a wise and responsible step.

You guys are ridiculous.  How do you know all the BTC raised has been spent?  ...  Oh that's right, you don't know.  You don't have a clue about anything.  You just let your imagination run wild and make a bunch of random assumptions.  Show me the BTC address proving all the Synereo crowdsale BTC is gone.  Then I'll believe you.  Otherwise shut up.  The facts are that the mass majority of the BTC is still being held and some of the team is getting paid in AMPs instead of BTC or fiat.

I'd also like to look at this BTC address. Does anyone know it?

I could not justify cashing out to pay salaries before anything useful is delivered. But let's wait/hope for a transparency report before throwing out accusations.

The problem with Synereo is their unpredictable fully centralized emission. For example, investors have no idea when the next dilution will occur. Or another example, do those 1.5 mil AMP from Founder wallet increase the circulating supply of 84 mil AMP or are they already included and no supply increase happens when AMPs leave Founder wallet?

Hey chill down, we don't know if they are selling, there is no proof.

Maybe they just setup their new infrastructure for the beta release and they moved the money into that infrastructure.

The system will give out AMP to curators I think so they need to fill up the bucket from where it will be given out, maybe that is where the AMP went.
No 100% proof but high chances are they are selling:

* Exactly 1,500,000 AMPs have left Founder Reward Wallet
* 947k AMPs reached an address that starts with "1Po1o", has 100+ mil USDT and 25 mil AMP. I bet it is Poloniex.
* 300k AMPs reached an address that has 47 mil USDT and 12 mil AMP. Either Bittrex or second Poloniex address.

I'm pretty sure this is not related to infrastructure Smiley Besides, there are other wallets to "give out" AMPs like "User Reward Wallet" and "Content Creator Wallet".

What I don't understand is why touch Founder AMPs at all when they have raised like 4 mil USD.

Is anyone concerned with Synereo dumping 1 mil AMP from Founder Reward Wallet?

Not me, they said they won't sell more AMPS, they already fundraises like 4 million  $ I think.

There was also some talks about coin burning in the future. So it's more likely that the supply will shrink and the price of AMP will go up.

I was also thinking, why would they dump their founder reward when they raised like $ 4 mil USD?

Where did they say they won't sell more AMPs? Are you aware of their June 30 announcement on Slack?

Meanwhile, 400k more AMPs have left Founder Reward Wallet, of which 300k went directly to exchange-looking address.

While I realize any project requires centralized bootstrapping, I wonder if any decentralization of control is anywhere on the roadmap?

Like destroying ability to issue tokens (migrating from OMNI?), dropping control of who can "register", not requiring accounts in 3rd party services like email, etc. Generally, anything that makes up a "anyone can join, no central party can control" type of network.

From a certain perspective the price is indeed speculative right now like with most altcoins. The project is single-team and you cannot buy much directly with DCR, although bridges like coinpayments.net solve this problem.

But to my view it has the lowest chances to collapse compared to many altcoins I have looked into. All aspects of the project, perhaps with the exception of hype (luckily), are very solid.

My projection is that the price will become less speculative and more real as time goes.

Please fix these in the first post:

* GitHub still points to JC's repo, also dead
* vcash.info links to 3 block explorers, consider linking them here too

Idea for marketing: "We will not surprise you by a blockchain reset or project restart".

Explanation: if XSPEC really does not plan that sort of thing, that is huge advantage against ShadowCash/Particl recent events. Remember like ETC differentiated itself from ETH, something like "In ETH you can roll back history, but not in ETC". Same can be used here as the projects share the same codebase.

I have reviewed this code extensively. All this is is a copy PASTE OF DASH AND BTC

Sounds plausible but without a more detailed analysis and code examples this statement has not much weight.
The "BTC copypaste" claim is valid for most altcoins and is no new.
The DASH one is a new claim that requires some backing up.

This could evolve into a good warning for investors, but I suggest you improve it.

Break into paragraphs, fix typos, add time and date to show chronology, add links to evidence. Use archive.is to capture controversial content before it is deleted. Do not abuse bold, italics and capital letters.

Takes time sure, but a well written thing is taken much more seriously.
