ELECTRONEUM MOBILE MINING STILL UP AND RUNNING
by
cutenikky
on 05/05/2018, 23:21:01 UTC
If you own an Android smart phone, then Electroneum is the easiest way in the world to earn and spend a cryptocurrency.

You will find the link to the official app on the Google Play Store from http://electroneum.com

Your account has been automatically upgraded and you’ll find the mobile miner is now enabled in the Electroneum app.

You might need to close and re-open the app to get the miner working.

Once we have this tested in the live environment we will start working with our mobile network partners to promote the app all over the world, so it’s a very exciting time!

What is the mobile miner?

The mobile miner is completely revolutionary way to earn cryptocurrency by “mining” on your phone. In fact your phone isn’t really doing the hard work of mining the coins, that’s already done – this is a mining experience. “What’s that?!”, I hear you say, well, our mining experience looks like a miner, feels like a miner and pays out real Electroneum cryptocurrency, just like a complex command line miner running on a linux computer – BUT all you need to do is click the “START MINING” button on a free app to earn cryptocurrency! These coins are nothing to do with the coins emitted by the blockchain as part of the blockchain reward. Blockchain miners are still vitally important to Electroneum, but full mining is too complex for the average user. The mobile miner is a separate algorithm that rewards users with ETN cryptocurrency at no cost.

Why? Simple – we want to spread the word about how easy Electroneum is to use and get involved with. It’s the easiest cryptocurrency in the world to get started with. Our mobile miner introduces people to cryptocurrency – without ANY risk. We are rewarding everyone who gets involved in the Electroneum project by allowing them to earn cryptocurrency via our free Android app.

What can you expect to earn?

We will be fine tuning the system over the next few weeks as we see how the mobile miner works with hundreds of thousands of users. We don’t know what our “average” user’s smartphone mining power is, but we expect users to be awarded a few US dollars of ETN value per month by running the app in the background. It doesn’t use much data or battery life, but remember if your mobile data is expensive it is up to you to ensure the mining does not cost you money. Use it on wifi initially to understand the amount of data it uses.

Enjoy earning some Electroneum on your Android phones – there may be a few bugs and changes as we test this with hundreds of thousands and then millions of people, but as always, we will fix them as soon as we identify them!

Apple iPhone Launch

We’ve reduced the number app call backs to our servers to just once per hour to comply with Apple’s limits, and this means if you were one of our beta miners you won’t see the pending balance update as often as it did during beta. Leave it running – and you’re mining time will be credited! We have the iPhone iOS version written and fully functional but it has not been approved by Apple yet. The more Android users we can get, the more we can show Apple that there is demand for this app.

Enjoy being the first people in the world to earn Electroneum Cryptocurrency from your mobile phone!

Re: Guide to Doing Your Own Research (DYOR) in Crypto
by
cutenikky
on 25/04/2018, 12:33:18 UTC
Today I’m writing about how to learn to do your own research. It might not be as obvious to some as it is to other. Enjoy.

There’s a common theme in the cryptocurrency community of people looking for handouts and not doing their own research.

But, on Twitter the other day, I was asked a serious question.

Someone asked, “How does a noob like me begin to research? What variables should I look at? Where do I look?”

I didn’t realize that some people might not know these things, as I have been a decent researcher even before getting involved in the cryptocurrency world.

Beginning to Research
When you start to research in the crypto realm, you need to be aware of specific tools. Here are a few I use regularly.

CoinMarketCap
Coin Market Cap (CMC) has a list of the top coins and the majority of their specs, including Market Cap, Supply, Exchange Listings, Websites, and more. If I am researching a new coin, this is usually where I start to get some basic information on it. This site is pretty reliable in my opinion.

2. CoinMarketCal

Coin Market Cal is basically a good site to learn about the events and news going on in the near future for specific coins. I like to browse this every few days to learn about anything new that might come up in the space.

Disclaimer: CoinMarketCal is not always 100% reliable. Always research more.

3. Reddit (r/Cryptocurrency)

While Reddit is also not the most reliable source of information, there are a lot of people having conversations about cryptocurrency and bitcoin on the site. There can be some good information on there, then there can also be complete trash. People like to spread their opinions around and are very vocal about this. Take everything with a grain of salt and only use what you find useful for building your own opinion of a coin/project.

Please, don’t just blindly follow some random dudes advice on the internet (this goes for Twitter too).

4. Google

Sad I have to say this, but yes, Google is your friend. When you’re looking for more info on a specific coin, search in google and see what you can find. I have no doubt there will be trash opinions when you search (just like everywhere else), but again, find what works for you and build your own opinion.

If you even have a basic question about crypto, just search it. I’m sure someone has asked it before and there are tons of answers.

5. Investopedia

Investopedia can be a great source when you are first starting out to learn basic investment terms. Sometimes it might feel like you’ve stepped into a whole new dimension, and you have. If you have specific questions about what something means, head there or ask google.

6. Trading View

Trading View can be a great place to watch other people chart different concept and practice TA when you begin to learn. It’s pretty much a social media platform specifically for charting stocks and cryptocurrencies. I’m a big fan.

7. Twitter

While Twitter is also very similar to Reddit (it’s filled with people’s opinions), it can also be a legit source of information if used properly. There are lots of awesome traders who share their wisdom and expertise for free. If you pick from their methods and use what work for you to build your own strategy, you can improve your ability to trade crypto.

Some of my favorite are:

CryptOrangutang
CryptoBirb
TheCryptoDog
BitcoinBravado
Crypto_Rand
There are a ton of great profiles, but there are some of my favorites. I’m probably missing a lot, but there guys are unbiased and a lot of them have great TA.

Hello! I completely agree with u, cutenikky, but I would add to your list being part of a strong community of crypto enthusiasts. Try some Telegram groups, instead of watching some YouTube "experts". Wish u best of luck!

4 Tips to Becoming a Better Cryptocurrency Investor
by
cutenikky
on 20/04/2018, 14:54:55 UTC
Cryptocurrency investments might seem easy to an outsider. Pick the right time to buy. Pick the right time to sell. Move on. Repeat.

There is much more happening behind the scenes.

Before you can learn to make good trades, you have to learn how to manage your emotions, build a strategy, be patient, and much more. Without a high emotional intelligence or the right qualified skills, you will find yourself falling victim to FOMO, scams, overtrading, and much more.

But don’t worry, the crypto space is still young.

It’s ya boi Shill Nye here and today I’m bringing you some tips to help you become mentally prepared to invest in cryptocurrency and bitcoin. Enjoy.

Build a Strategy
The title says it all. A winning strategy can change the entire outcome of your investments.

Don’t just go all in on one coin. Ever. I see way too many people doing this. That’s not a winning strategy. Even if you get lucky once, eventually you will get rekt. And you will cry. So just don’t.

Everyone has a different trading strategy dependent upon their goals and style. I recommend you build your own.

When you build your own strategy, you will be 1000x more successful than by copying someone else’s strategy or blindly following people’s calls. You will know when to enter and when to exit coins. And you will never be able to blame anyone else for a ‘bad call’ or if you lose/make money. The responsibility will fall on you.

Strategy Example:

X% of your portfolio in short term investments
X% of your portfolio in long term investments
X% of your portfolio in fiat
Emotional Management
Most people have a low EQ. They have not learned how to properly manage or control their emotions, therefore their emotions run their lives (and usually not in a good way). Instead of being able to thinking rationally and make clear decisions, 99% of society lives their lives in accordance to other people’s belief systems and actions while never truly forming their own.

Even worse, a majority of people tend to run based off their fearful programing. Their beliefs are based in a lacking mindset and fear controls their lives.

This (especially) includes cryptocurrency investors.

For example, FOMO is a common occurrence amongst inexperienced cryptocurrency investors. Without the proper ability to manage your emotions, you will fall victim to FOMO over and over. This is why this skill, also known as self awareness, is so important.

How can you improve your EQ?

Really, there isn’t a formula to become more self aware. It takes internal practice, time, and patience. Learn to not act upon the fear. Stay strong in yourself rather than falling victim to the FOMO of the masses. This is how you will differentiate yourself as an investor and, eventually, make more money.

Patience
This is the most repeated and underrated tip that any new crypto investor can implement.

Patience.

Seems simple, but really, it isn’t. Most people do not have the skill of patience. They rekt themselves in the crypto world by over trading and chasing trades — rather than taking the time to find good entries in coins and waiting patiently for them to move.

Remember, let the gains come to you.

How can you learn to be more patient?

Practice. Find entries in solid coins and wait for them to move, instead of chasing coins that are already moving.

The more you immerse yourself in the crypto space, the more you will see there are gains to be made everywhere. When you see a coin pumping and you feel the urge to chase it, don’t. Wait.

You will be happy when your coins start moving.

Also, consider trading a demo account when you first start. Or start with a VERY small amount. You can learn a lot of these skills without losing TONS of money in the process.

Take Responsibility
Finally, you MUST take responsibility for your portfolio. No one is going to hold your hand through making tons of money. Everyone is focused on their own shit.

That being said, there are good people in this space you can bounce ideas off of. People are willing to help.

But people are not willing to baby sit you. So don’t ask ‘target’ or ‘still good entry’ because that shit is annoying. If you ask a legit question, most people will give you a legit answer.

Also, find a group of traders and chat with them. It really helps to be around other cryptocurrency investors when you first start off. Don’t blindly follow their advice/opinions, but have an open dialogue where you can learn and bounce ideas off each other. You will all learn from each other, if you are open to that.

Finally,
Good luck everyone. I really can’t teach you a lot of this shit. You have to learn it on your own. But hopefully, this can be a good guide for you to start to learn.

The more time you put into this, the more you will get out of it.

Remember, be a damn good human while you’re at it.

Disclaimer:
I do not give financial advice. I am not a financial advisor. If you are looking for financial advice, then you should go to google and look for a financial advisor in your area. The shit I write is simply for entertainment purposes. You should never blindly trust anyone on the internet who tells you where or how to invest your money.

Amazon and Litecoin partnership: a possibility manifested into a future reality
by
cutenikky
on 20/04/2018, 11:53:01 UTC
Unlike competitor Ebay, e-commerce giant Amazon albeit being an innovative company when it comes to technological advancements e.g. building the first ever check-out free store Amazon Go and the acquisition of Graphiq a semantic tech company and recently smart doorbell company Ring to name a few, has surprisingly not pursued the same mindset when it comes to modern payment methods for their e-commerce side of business.

Consumers of the e-commerce giant which breathes technology are restricted to only a few traditional payment options.

Last quarter, Amazon was more profitable and generated more revenue from their AWS, their cloud computing service rather than their e-commerce business.

According to CNBC: AWS remains the profit engine for Amazon, which has always operated on thin e-commerce margins.

As an investor, it is assumable that it is time for Amazon Ceo Jeff Bezos to add some focus and invest in the e-commerce side of the business e.g. offer cryptocurrency as a payment option for additional security and maximum e-commerce growth in the long run. By the looks of it, this mere possibility could be manifested into a future reality.

Amazon has already registered three crypto related domains in 2017 according to trade publication DomainNameWire, and recently obtained a patent for a streaming data marketplace (this could allow subscribers to receive real-time cryptocurrency transaction data), therefore it will only be a matter of time before Amazon starts accepting it as a payment option on their online retail platform.

The question remains which one(s). Litecoin, an open source P2P global decentralised digital currency with a market cap of $7.87B would be the most sensible choice as this coin was initially developed by Charlie Lee former Google software engineer on the Bitcoin platform also with a PoW algorithm (offering max security) as the silver to Bitcoin for the smaller transactions and therefore absolutely perfect for the e-commerce market.

Bitcoin will be there for the larger transactions but with lower transaction and relay fees (minm 0.001 LTC/kB) and faster transaction speed (2.5min or less even solve exponential scaling and transaction malleability, with Segwit and lightning network LN), Litecoin stands in a strong position to be adopted by merchants for the smaller transactions.

Numerous of online merchants have already taken the initiative to accept Litecoin as a payment option. This includes the following merchants:

E-gifter
Coinplay
Bitcoinshop
RE/MAX London
Cheapair.com
Retrotowers
All things luxery
Unlock Base
Loving Domains
Xbox Live Trials
Europay
Litecoin can be securely stored in a wallet on a computer, tablet, phone or laptop and supports numerous of OS.

3 reasons I think the Cortex Project is doped!
by
cutenikky
on 19/04/2018, 13:03:38 UTC
The background of founding team members of the project is solid: all received at least M.S. in related field ( AI/ Mathematics/ CS/ Engineering) from well-known universities. The engineering solution they proposed in the whitepaper makes sense to the current blockchain tech environment. it's smart for them to not try to build/modify anything on the current Ethereum chain because the computational power of "world computer" is simply not enough to carry any complicated algorithm ex. AI models. Building a new chain from bottom up (Virtual machine level) is the right approach in my opinion.

I think the timing is right to start developing such platform to allow AI to play a part on blockchain: the current Ethereum smart contract is smart, but not intelligent; the cortex blockchain will be able to include live data parameters on to the blockchain. It's undeniable that the AI industry is evolving, tho most people don't feel the impact of how the AI technology has already permeated into our daily life, sooner or later the impact will become noticeable. It will be too late then to start developing such AI - enabled blockchain. The creation of Cortex will further the dimension of what AI technology can bring to us.

A healthy token economic model which leads to a long-lasting eco-system: similar to most of the popular public chains, the cortex blockchain dedicates more than 50% of the tokens to miners, who will be the fundamental 'workers" to keep the chain running. To break down the token business model in simple words, let's first take a look at who are the stakeholders: the miners, AI model providers, smart contract creators, and the users. Let's now give it an example to show the economics when a "transaction" happens. Say a marine biologist is collecting pictures of fish for his research study; he then initiates a smart contract on Cortex: for every fish picture submitted, the submitter gets 10 CTXC tokens as reward. He then goes to the cortex chain to find the best fish recognition AI model and includes it in his smart contract to help him filter the submissions he will be receiving. In this example, the fish recognition AI model provider has to pay a fee for storage on full nodes of the cortex blockchain, but gets paid "Endorphins" (in CTXC) every time when the smart contract (and AI model) is executed (at every submission to verify the picture to be a fish or not); the marine biologist is responsible to pay the model provider "Endorphins", and the real fish picture submitter in CTXC. The miner that packages the block to complete this transaction will get CTXC as reward. It is a fair and well-rounded economic cycle.

It's no harm to say that if bitcoin is blockchain1.0, ethereum is blockchain2.0, then cortex is blockchain 3.0

I will do an application use case of the Cortex chain in my next post.

Be Smart and Revolutionize the Future of Manufacturing! 💡

As technology develops in leaps and bounds, so has our way of thinking. Only a few years ago most people could not imagine that they would be able to watch a film, consult the internet, control their banking and household appliances from a telephone. However, over the past 5 years it has become an integral part of the way we live. The telephone is no longer a device for just oral communication but also a way to rapidly exchange messages and documents, increasing efficiency in the exchange of informed information and the propagation of ideas.

ProducToken (PROD) will be used as a main currency in the Productivist's #blockchain with the objective of ensuring smoother transactions at lower costs. PROD #token (ERC20-compliant) grows in value and in addition is liquid & tradable. Don't miss the next #flashsale ! #crypto

Introducing The FIRST crypto currency insurance platform
by
cutenikky
on 13/04/2018, 16:39:29 UTC
A story of BITRUST started with a problem which gathered a team of blockchain enthusiasts to solve it — to have an affordable tool for hedging cryptocurrency trading transactions. And it is true, with the altcoins market volatility we have faced these few months it is obvious that everything is ready for such product to come about. In this blog we will tell in more detail about what BITRUST offers and why it is needed.

The idea
Altcoins are highly volatile — the total market cap hyped by 10,000% starting in 2013 and right up until its downturn this January. Moreover, how extremely complex it is to forecast these market fluctuations! And this is exactly why market was calling out for something like BITRUST — to solve the real issue of altcoin volatility for small and medium investors and cryptocurrency enthusiasts.

“On one hand the market volatility is skyrocking, and on the other — the interest in cryptocurrencies and the value behind blockchain technology is really growing. More and more people talk about it everyday. It means that already this year a lot of people will want to join the movement, learn more about crypto world and also participate in its development. We are looking at the few year long market adjustment and growth period ahead of us and we believe that BITRUST is the type of project which will heavily contribute into such adjustment,” says company’s CEO Alex Duhamel.
Alex adds:

“With BITRUST you don’t have to accept all the risk when trading altcoins. You can easily mitigate it, moreover — in a convenient fashion and at an affordable price. Imagine you could have such possibility to do this now?!”

What Big Problem Will Blocnation Solve
by
cutenikky
on 11/04/2018, 14:18:30 UTC
On April 17, the world’s first decentralized initial coin offering (dICO) will be launched on Komodo Platform. The dICO will be held for Blocnation, and the corresponding coins will be called Blocnation Tokens. As a potential investor, you may be wondering how Blocnation Tokens will be used and what real-world problems they solve. Allow us to explain.

Blocnation is a subsidiary company of PouchNATION, a major events company based in Southeast Asia that runs cashless payment systems at festivals, concerts, and other venues. PouchNATION operates in many different countries: Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, China, Indonesia. This, needless to say, creates a few difficulties.

Blocnation Tokens are not just another cryptocurrency—they will power an international payment system and can be spent at all PouchNATION events, as well as hostel bookings. That means Blocnation Tokens will have tangible, real-world value. That’s a claim most cryptocurrencies cannot make.

Home Repair Jobs Now on ETH Blockchain

We’re happy to have begun our main token sale, currently available at www.bobsrepair.com . As we explore different methods to decentralize the home repair industry, we've developed our first prototype application. It’s exciting to see the power of Blockchain in action, and our prototype does a great job of illustrating how Blockchain technology will change the rhythm of business of the Internet, and the world in the coming years.

Here’s quick walkthrough of what we’re doing with the ETH Blockchain. You’ll see a simple signup flow below. The important thing is being able to onboard users without bogging them down with a complex signup process, but still gather enough information for the job to be relevant so that we can match with contractor and get the job on the books.

Checkout the prototype yourself at https://prototype.bobsrepair.com/ . After defining a job, be sure to check out the smart contracted generated with your favorite ETH explorer!

Simple signup/login screen which asks for only for a users email. They’ll login with email to come back and view job history and progress of current jobs.

User’s main dashboard, this is where they can create a new job or view previous and/or current jobs they are associated with.

The categories selection allows users to pick from a common set of broad categories and drill down in the specific type of repair they are looking to have completed. This quiz-like wizard format allows us to dynamically guide the user. As our database of jobs increases we’ll be able to predictively target to the users based on important metrics, such as location of the job, time of year.

Re: Bounty Rewards: Sell immediately or HODL?
by

I've been doing bounty campaigns only since December 2017.  Not long, in the scheme of things.  But one thing that truly surprised me during the last couple of months is the number of bounty hunters who look to sell their tokens ASAP.  At first, I didn't understand why, but I think I'm beginning to.

For me, I'm doing these bounty campaigns for a bit of fun and to give my mind a bit work to do, creatively speaking.  So my mindset for any bounty tokens is just to HODL and allow the devs to implement their roadmap and take the project through to completion.  I think this will give the best realisation of value on the tokens.  Sure, some may fail and they will likely end up worthless, but since I only invested time, not money, into receiving them, I'm not really worried.

So with that mindset, I struggled to understand why so many people were eager to offload their bounties at the earliest opportunity.

But over the weekend, I sat down and did some calculations on the accumulated bounty rewards I'm expecting to receive.  Each bounty by itself was a modest return, but when combined in totality, it was a sizeable amount.  And that's when it struck me...

Lots of people who live in less fortunate parts of the world, particularly in areas with high unemployment, probably NEED to sell their bounty rewards to put food on the table and pay their bills.

But I really don't know if my assumptions are correct.  So, my question to you is...

Do you sell your Bounty Rewards straight away or HODL?  Any insight into your reasons would be appreciated.

## If this post has been thought provoking for you, I'd really appreciate a bit of Merit in return ##

Most of the time I HODL for a period of time before selling probably half of it depending on the value of the token in market.

Yes, These Chickens Are on the Blockchain

Can the blockchain technology improve food safety ?

Did the chicken you just buy at the supermarket have a nice life, roam free, and eat healthy grains? If you’re the kind of person who cares, Carrefour SA, the big France-based grocery chain, has the bird for you. Every chicken it sells under its house brand comes complete with its very own life story, thanks to the wonders of blockchain software. All you need to do is scan the label with your smartphone to get all the details.

This is the same technology that serves as the backbone of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The grocery giant isn’t just trying to appeal to discriminating foodies. It wants to do whatever it can to ensure its products aren’t tainted, part of a broader industry trend that buys into the as-yet-unproven promise that blockchain can improve food safety.

Sleekplay the Next Generation in Content Monetization

Sleekplay the Next Generation in Content Monetization

In recent times, there has been growing concerns at the extent to which our personal data is being exposed as we engage with digital content. Whilst efforts are being made to reassure users of privacy and rebuild, the underlying problem is not being dealt with. Advertising is the life blood of monetization within the digital ecosystem presently, and to guarantee its effectiveness, users have to be tracked and aggressively studied in order to be accurately targeted with ads.

There is no solution to privacy uncertainties as long as ads remain at the fulcrum of content monetization. Harris Poll conducted a study on behalf of Lithium and found that 74 percent of 16- to 39-year-olds object to being singled out by brands in their social media feeds. Of those, 56 percent have cut back on or quit using social media sites due to advertisements in their news feeds.

SleekPlay is a blockchain-based platform that harnesses the computational power of devices to reinvent the monetization of content
SleekPlay adopts a user-focused approach to content monetization, addressing current industry issues such as privacy and quality experience. The platform goes a step further, to reward users for their participation within the network as incentive for continuous engagement. Developers/content creators have a new and forward thinking way of monetizing content without the current drawbacks of existing traditional models and platforms.

Blockchain technology is making it possible to disrupt the way things are done in different industries and the monetization of content in the digital economy is long overdue a complete overhaul. ‘The drawbacks of ads, together with its growing ineffectiveness and privacy related flaws, has flung the doors wide open for innovation and creative solutions that ensure users are protected and not sacrificed on the altar of profit making’ says Isaac Ikoro, co-founder, SleekPlay.

The SleekPlay platform at its core is governed by a goal system that favors long session engagement. Digital content such as music, movies and games that engage users for longer hours can be monetized using the platform as their devices can contribute enough hashes per second in the time they spend interacting with content. In a nutshell, the goal system is a brilliant concept based on time spent and hashes per second contributed in that time. A sharing formula is used to determine the payout of SKP coins to users and developers by the SleekPlay network.

SKP is the cryptocurrency of the platform that makes it possible to monetize content. SKP is a utility coin with a variety of use cases within the SleekPlay ecosystem. It is designed for easy adoption, to be mobile friendly, private and secure.

The token generation event to build community and raise funds for the project commences on the 1st of April, 2018 with a Private round at the best discounted rates for early adopters and supporters of our vision. The best rates of the private round will be available at a minimum contribution amount and all participants will be awarded with SleekPlay tokens which will be available on exchanges immediately after the main ICO. You can contribute now A working prototype already exists and will be released just before the Pre-ICO event. Join the private round now and contribute to the future of the digital economy. Thanks for your support and spread the word.
