#On one of the longest running rigs I got a message that I'm low on space . Around 600mb . I have a SSD on that RIG .
Can the logs generated be that big ?
Claymore's logs are huge.

Quote
#Where can I find the claymore logs ? I can't see it in the 9.5 folder like on win
AFAIR, they are disabled with '-dbg -1' option. Change this if you need logs.

Quote
#In genoil ... how can I see the uptime of the rig ?
Rig or miner? Have no experience with genoil, but 'uptime' shell command can give you the rig uptime.

Thanks!
Strange message for size issue . It was running for 200hours or so .

Wanted to ask about the uptime of the miner Smiley sorry .
Want to know if it crashes and reboots...no idea if genoil can do that as I haven't used it until now but for 1060 I get about 11 more MH - 176 with less overclock then in Claymore where I get around 164-165 with more OC but both rigs that I used genoil on ... reported 0 hashrates (I could only see " - " in the section for that miner but it had average hasrate displayed ) but the miner looked to be running and I had the right address in place. If I changed to Claymore everything its fine.

Great job guys ... its developing very fast into something complex but easy to use for the average user . Not sure if its good or not if everybody mines ... but for me ... more people in crypto is + EV in the long run Smiley

Working on a video to get this set up with 6 1070 Asus Dual OC and the Z270 prime motherboard, hope it will help new users.

I did have one question, would it be possible to add DBIX in the next update? Also, I am running 12 1070's, and have been mining ZCash since, it seems like that was optimized with this miner and gtx cards in general. (maybe I am wrong?) What are people mining with their 1070's? is Zcash still the best or does mining NICE with the profit switcher make more sense?

DBIX - runs fine on Win on Claymore...I just edited address .. pool and some paramers .
For nvOC I've done the same thing but I get :
Quote
ETH: Authorization failed
: {"id":2,"jsonrpc":"2.0","result":null,"error":{"code":-1,"message":"Invalidlogin"}}
Stratum - reading socket failed, disconnect
ETH: Job timeout, disconnect, retry in 20 sec...

Pool link  : http://dbix.pool.sexy/#/help
Every rig is so stable ... too bad I suck at linux ! Time to learn
Grat job man !  Grin

Pls anybody explain me the difference between MANUAL_FAN="YES" + FAN_SPEED=75 and  MANUAL_FAN="NO". Stability? Consumption? Because I have used both of them and did no see difference in hash and consumption too.

I can not find the optimized setup for 1070. Do you have suggested setup? Or the newest oneBash is the suggested?

Thank you!

eth - pl 85  , cc 150 , mc 1100= > 30.3mh  . Solid .. no crashes ..

You can try different settings and see how it behaves. I don't like to watch them all day for crashes .

Anybody managed to dual mine ? If so ... I need to edit something in this section for ETH intensity ?
if [ $COIN == "DUAL_ETH_SC" ]
In windows I had  -ethi x -dcri y . Here I see only dcri. I have to add ethi on that line or on top of the oneBash in the ETH_EXTENTION_ARGUMENTS section ?

does nvOC work with Asrock H170A-X1 ? Win10 refuses to recognize more than 3 cards, not matter what i do.

List of fully supported mb:
ASRock H81 PRO BTC (6x gpu) Link
BIOSTAR TB85 (6x gpu) Link
MSI Z270-A PRO (6x gpu: 7x if you use 1x m2 adapter) Link
GIGABYTE GA-B250M-Gaming 3 (4x gpu) Link
BIOSTAR TB250-BTC (6x gpu) Link
ASUS Z270-F GAMING (7x gpu: 9x if you use 2x m2 adapters)  Link
MSI Z170A GAMING M5 (7x gpu) Link
ASUS PRIME Z270-A (7x gpu: 9x if you use 2x m2 adapters) Link
GIGABYTE GA-Z270P-D3 (6x gpu) Link
ASUS PRIME H270-PLUS (6x gpu: 8x if you use 2x m2 adapters) Link

Just burn the iso on a stick and give it a try.
Do a bios update if available and try again in win/linux

had version 15 on a few rigs running very stable at 30.3mh/ gpu for a few days . Temp - 55 at 75fan speed .
now i'm testing on Zec and I get around 450sol - 150cc 700mc 125pl
Wanted to make a 9gpu machine but no luck with second m.2 adapter and I think i fucked a MB in the process.
On nanopool if it has been discussed can somebody link the post to where I have to edit in linux so I can add my e-mail and pass so I can modify the min payout ?

Thanks

Anybody managed to make 2 m.2 adapters work on this ?
I have v0016 on a msi 170A gaming M5 and it works fine with 8 GPU (7 pci slots + 1 m.2 adapter ) . If I add the second adapter ... that GPU is not recognized .
Anything else I need to setup in Bios or Linux ?
I updated Bios and enabled encoding .

Thanks!

EDIT : Tried on 2 rigs and same issue . The adapter works as I put 2 from working rigs .
The one that is working is the one nearest to the CPU

Thing is it took my money, but the transaction appears as Unconfirmed in the blockchain and when I try to search for it on your page it doesn't finds it
My transaction also appears as unconfirmed after 10 minutes pending....but now i have some PAY in my wallet. Worked

how can you check if you have pay in wallet ?
Shows up in MyEtherWallet

nothing so far.
I have the wallet info right so its a matter of time I think

Videos for correct address don't work
If I use Dash Core...I see I can sign the message but how do I find the address I'm sending from ?
Scan the transaction ID in https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/ and use the address in the FROM filed of the page ?

Have 4 rigs running 7gpu - GTX 1070 Msi...stable for a few days . Tested the SSD also and it works very well.  (core C 100 , mem 1050 , pl -100) 30mh
Today my m.2 adapters should arrive and I'll make the rigs 8gpu

My MB supports 2 of these M.2 adapters...so in theory I could make 9 gpu rigs Smiley. Problem is that my PSU have only 3 cables each (bought some extra cables ) and only 5 outputs - 1 for mb cable and 4 for gpu power .  ( Corsair H850 ) can't find any parts these days ... everything is out of stock .
How can I power up the 9th GPU without a new psu ?
Somebody suggested to try SATA - > 8pin adapters . . . . Haven't tested...doesn't look safe .
Any ideas ?

Not sure I understand these :
#1 - so the card user gets 0.1% reward for every purchase he makes ? Is this paid in PAY token or ETH ?
#2 - What is the value in holding this token long term ? ( from that 0.5% of the total payment volume each of us  gets something paid in ETH ? ) For me its not clear how this 0.5% is distributed among token holders
#3 - as I understand it uses COMIT network for the transactions ? In what level of development is this network .. as I see that part of the ETH from ICO goes to the development of COMIT . If COMIT is in development...what is the product using in the testing phase to make transactions instant?
#4 - "With the next 50,000 ETH, TenX will be able to apply for a banking license to create an even better user experience and to gradually integrate Fiat currencies into the offering. " - does this mean we can then withdraw fiat ? ( 2018 in the roadmap ?)
#5 - So Tenx on COMIT network will act as an exchange ... provide liquidity for instant transactions to avoid slower speeds generated by blockchain validations ?
#6 - any max buy cap / order at ICO to prevent big whales buying in a lot and having the ICO close in 2 minutes ?
#7 - will the address to send funds be available before ICO to prevent site crashing like it happened to TokenCard ? What steps are you taking to make this ICO last longer ?
#8 - How involvement is mr Vitalik in the project ? (except the investor part )

Thanks!  Grin

Hi,

Thanks for all your effort. Once I get everything up and running I hope there is somewhere I can donate.

I need some advice though. I'm trying to flash the image to a 16gb ADATA S102 flash drive (Capacity shows 15.81GB in HDD Raw Copy), but it fails at 99%. is there something I can do, or should I get a bigger flash?

You should get a bigger one. But at times it will still work, so you can test it. If the system boots and starts mining, all is ok. Be patient, booting (depending on number of cards) can take a couple of minutes. Make sure you've read the OP, connect a monitor to GPU0 (not the internal video card) to see the booting process. All is automated, so just wait and see Wink..

The image still works if capacity is over 15.8 as shown in tool. Less..it doesn't work. Fullzero explained it a bit better a few pages ago to me

What do you mean by "(only 6x OC)" for the z170/z270 boards? Can this OS support 7 cards with those boards?

and you say usb key only....does that mean an M.2 drive will not work? what size ssd is required?

edit: removed lazy question

I can now fully OC all cards; just need to rebuild and update the images.

Also I just confirmed that if an ssd is imaged while connected to the build pc with a USB-to-sata adapter and then attached to a rig via the usb-to-sata adapter that it will also work fully with all the current nvOC images.

Here are some usb-to-sata adapters:

https://www.amazon.com/Inateck-SATA-Adapter-Cable-Drives/dp/B01E4VHSYG

https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-SATA-Drive-Adapter-Cable/dp/B00HJZJI84

Here are some usb-to-m2 adapters:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015C5GDY4

https://www.amazon.com/Portable-External-Enclosure-Controller-Connector/dp/B01G51SATK

https://www.amazon.com/MEITK-Portable-Enclosure-Controller-Connector/dp/B01J3KJ04E

I'll image a SSD using the USB to SATA adapter and it should work

One Q I have guys if you can explain :
- i know there are m2  - > Pci adapters for extra pci slots if the board has a slot to attach this m2 adapter
This USB - > 2m gives me the option to add a m2 - > PIC adapter without a slot on MB ?

Have 2 miners on this and they seem to work fine for a few hours and then crash :

09:29:41:752   bf3e6740   watchdog - fminer thread hangs
09:29:41:752   bf3e6740   em hbt: 0, fm hbt: 130832,
09:29:41:752   bf3e6740   Miner thread hangs, need to restart miner!

Too much OC ?
Also ... the USB seems hot ... doesn't it get damaged in time ?

What GPUs and OC settings are you using; also what is the ambient tempature near the rig?

Also what kind of USB key are you using?

Would it help to use a ssd instead of usb ? For me it lags each time i open something..click something ..
Even if the miner is closed. I see there are links for ssd connection

You can use an ssd if you want; see

In my experience a fast USB is reasonably responsive.  The lexar ones I recommend are fast and cheap.

If they aren't fast enough for you: these are faster HQ very high speed USB keys are around $22:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00S6DBGLK

GPUs        - GTX 1070 - MSI Gaming X - Micron Memory
Core         - +150
Mem         - +1100
PowerLimit - +125
Risers        - v07s - prob gona change them for ver 06c
USB           - Kingston Adata Traveler - 32gb USB 3.0  = > but I doubt they are because it takes ages to write the image .. like 7mbs
Reported mh on a 7GPU rig - 211mh - no idea about consumption. Cheap electric bill here Smiley

I have a bunch of SSDs prob gona use those instead

I see somebody pushed  Core OC at 200 and Mem at 1600 Grin waw .

I managed to put this only on one USB stick without problems.
Other 2 I get an write error at around 90% or so and now I can only see in windows the 8mb partition .
One is a usb 3.0 stick and one random.
The one that works is 3.0 also but they are all different brands

Any way to format these sticks again ? In win i can see the other part of the stick in disk manager but i have it as unalocated space if I format it .

Thanks!

You can always re image a usb with hddrawcopy; regardless of what partitions / formatting it has to begin with.

If when you use hddrawccopy it indicates your USB is 15.5gb or larger; you will have an error at the end of imaging: but the USB should still work.

If hddrawcopy says your USB key is less than 15.5gb; it isn't going to work.
Ah oki
Its working.
The stick that worked without error was a 32gb one . The rest are 16gb
Running 7gpu on a msi z170a gaming m5 without issues . I'll try 8gpu .
Teamviewer connection works fine also .
Thanks for your support again
