Could you explain why it takes so long time to get the transactions belonging to the addresses after the blockchain is loaded?

More questions at twitter #bitpak.
I looked at the Dropbox account I created for bitpak to use. Nothing were stored there. I was expecting some encrypted data.

What is taking so long time. About 48 h to download the blockchain, now more than 72 h after a transaction have been seen by the network and still nothing in bitpak.
Downloading the blockchain took more than 24 h, but it did complete.
Things that would be nice to have is
Indications of unconfirmed transactions for relevant sending and receiving
Stats about connected peers
Export of private keys

Isn't wallet a bad name for your bitcoin keys?

I think that the word wallet is a bad choice? My reasons are:
Your bit coins are not stored in your wallet.
A copy of your wallet is the same as the original
A much better name is bitcoin-keyring, you have a bitcoin-address and a corresponding bitcoin-key stored in your keyring. It's easy to understand that if you lose your key you can't access your bitcoins. If somebody get a copy of your key, they can take your coins.
