Still alive ? Look like you are burning coin for last 2years plan ?
The coin is still alive indeed and we are working our way through the burning plan.
NuDroid needs some love and it is not recommended to use it until it had some.

Nice to see some new developments. Have been advocating a bit for that lately. Primecoin is quite different with GPU mining and the mining not just going to waste. Outsider to follow imo.

Dear Lafu, or any body, who hear me. I hope you remember that we, the holders of the NSR have been waiting for a month for almost a month? Could you speed up this process, because you had enough time to finish it all long ago! Huh
@cryptopia Would be good to get that sorted by now. Thanks.

A few exciting updates this time:

1) NuBits have been added back to Shapeshift.io again after the hacks they endured. This means that your NuDroid wallet can again pay seamlessly everywhere Bitcoin is accepted.

2) A significant piece of development work is underway to enhance the NuDroid App even further. The highlights of the enhancements are:

Release 1 (8 weeks duration). This includes:
> A. Skipping headers for instant sync,
> B. Adds Ethereum support through Shapeshift
> C. Adds crypto currency exchange rates on the homepage of the App
> D. Sync Nubitsj with Bitcoinj
> E. Change currency name to USNBT, before NBT. This to prepare for other pegged coins.
> F.  Addition of nuseed.nubitsexplorer.nu DNS seed. This will further improve the syncing speed

Release 2 (7 weeks duration). This includes:
> G. NuDroid's ability to also receive other coins which will be instantly converted upon arrival to USNBT.

With this latest release NuDroid will be the only wallet you will ever need for receiving end sending payments while keeping your hard earned value at all times.

Stay tuned for the release announcements!

It would be greatly appreciated if you are able to merge all NBT, US-NBT and USNBT tickers published by all exchanges towards the current NuBits coin (USNBT) during the transition.

All updated, thanks.
It appears that you did add CCEDK and Southexchange USNBT feeds, but unfortunately cut of the NBT feeds from the other exchanges like Poloniex looking at the lag without updates they are all showing now.
Can you please have another look at it and ensure that both NBT and USNBT pairs from all our exchanges are supported during the transition.
Besides two other pairs from CCEDK, the USNBT/EUR and USNBT/BTC pair are still missing.

Hope it makes sense now.
Hi Gliss,

Can you have another look into this please? The USNBT/EUR and USNBT/BTC pair on CCEDK are still not showing.
Or is there something the exchange needs to do? Just wondering.

Thanks,

Re: Park Nubits and earn 12% Apr. interest. Good rates don't last long
by
cybnate26

Just keep an eye on this thread or your NuBits client as the rates do fluctuate with the hour. Here is a quick table as of now:

11.4 days    - ~8.5% p/a
23 days       - ~11.5% p/a
1.5 months - ~12.5% p/a
3 months    - ~13% p/a

Please make sure your select the correct period as currently no rates are offered beyond 3 months.
So if you lock in your funds for 6 months, you would only receive 13% for the first 3 months and 0% for the next 3 months resulting in only 6.5% p/a and you won't be able to unlock your funds.
The rates are like 'fixed rate bonds". They don't fluctuate during the locked period. The wallet will show the amount earned after the period when locking in the funds. What you see is what you get.

Download your wallet from https://nubits.com/download. You will be able to see the rates without owning NuBits. You will need NuBits to take advantage of these rates though.
A list of NuBits exchanges is here: https://nubits.com/exchanges. CCEDK has USD/NBT and EUR/NBT pairs for your fiat as the others have BTC/NBT pairs for fast trading.

Hi Gliss,

As you might know, NuBits is in a transition to rename the coin ticker from NBT to USNBT on the markets awaiting the addition of other coins like CHNBT (Chinese Yuan pegged NuBits) and XNBT (SDR pegged NuBits).
I noticed that you already updated your site ticker to USNBT which is great. However there are two exchanges, ccedk.com and southxchange.com who already migrated to the new name and also changed their API to USNBT or US-NBT. Unfortunately coinmarketcap.com doesn't recognise any longer these exchanges and their pairs. It is expected that the other exchanges will follow soon and change their APIs.

It would be greatly appreciated if you are able to merge all NBT, US-NBT and USNBT tickers published by all exchanges towards the current NuBits coin (USNBT) during the transition.
Please let me know if you need additional information.

Thanks,
Cybnate

The problem is, why not simply use cash? Besides from the obvious point that people discount for bitcoin...
Ok, a bit off-topic, but I have a few facts to consider:

The first two depend a bit on which country you live in but in more and more countries you have either:
- Money printing by central bank reducing the value of your cash every day
- Negative interest rates on your bank account
- It is not that easy to open a bank account for people in some countries.

Besides the above over time assuming more acceptance of Bitcoin and NuBits it is also possible to just do without a bank account and its fees in any country. No 3rd party is required to transfer money with Bitcoin and NuBits.

good to see this ... The only thing i care for is ,, security ,,, any users who have already used this can share ?
Assuming you are referring to the security of the wallet; I can mention the following:

- It is open source ( https://github.com/Cybnate/NuDroid)
- It is based on the Bitcoin wallet ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.schildbach.wallet)
- We have two trusted blockchain servers which the App defaults to and if you wish you can run your own providing the best security
- Your keys always stay on your mobile device and in your control.
- (edit) The app can be set to require a pincode for every outgoing transaction

Will try to get some users to reply as my view is biased  Grin

We just reached the milestone of more than 500 copies of NuDroid downloaded via Google Play! Cool

Get your own copy now and enjoy that you know what is in your wallet and that it won't change value overnight; But still being able to pay with Bitcoins everywhere Bitcoin is accepted.
Just remember 1 US-NBT is always 1 USD. And that is already like this for over a year!

Download of the Android App here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.matthewmitchell.nubits_android_wallet&hl=en_GB

Exchanges to obtain NuBits here:
https://nubits.com/exchanges/nubits-exchanges

We are also looking to add new functionality. Join the discussion here or on our forum:
https://discuss.nubits.com/t/mobile-magic-interested/3501

Just in general for all cryptocoins:
Don't transfer more money into it than you can afford to loose.

Sounds like a good app ! What are the fees you charge for the transactions ? I hope its not more than the stable wallet charges .Does the app have transactions securly transferred without  a fast internet or on your mobile data like 2g ?

It's a great wallet but the problem is that it's not ideal for mobile data, especially if you're from the Philippines.
It downloads the entire NuBit blockchain Smiley
Yeah I'm experiencing the same problems .The entire point of a wallet mobile app should be if should work on the mobile data that's why we especially deploy apps on phone so it's easy to load pages and have secure transactions with less next hops in a network .
The network transaction cost is currently 0.01 NBT (US$0.01), but may be changed in the future as Shareholders can vote for a higher or lower transaction fee in the Nu network. The App doesn't charge anything. The Shapeshift service includes a fee in their exchange rate not different from their services provided via their website shapeshift.io.

NuDroid doesn't download the entire blockchain. On first start it will -verify- the entire blockchain though. This typically takes a few hours. Once the verification is complete e.g. weekly synchronisation only takes 20 minutes or so if you don't have the App running. Otherwise it will synchronise in the background, the traffic is minimal though, just the headers of each block.

Just released a minor update of the NuDroid App:

Here are the release notes for v4.4:
  •     Added support for py-nugetfee and therefore Nu 2.0 dynamic transaction fees. Nu 3.0 may also be compatible
  •     When restoring a wallet, show the most recent backups first.

The APK can be downloaded on: https://github.com/Cybnate/NuDroid/releases/tag/v4.4
The App will also be made available on Google Play soon.

A number of users reported some issues with NuDroid in the last few weeks. Please update Nudroid now.
It is available on Google Play. You can also download the APK from here: https://github.com/Cybnate/NuDroid/releases/

The release fixes the following issues:

  •    A fix for styling problems on some devices mentioned here: https://discuss.nubits.com/t/nudroid-v4-now-available-on-google-play/2436/6?u=matthewlm
  •    Show error when a Shapeshift transaction fails after pressing Send.
  •    Do not stall the Shapeshift update timer when leaving the application.
  •    Improved shut-down of the Blockchain service, making certain parts of the app more responsive and fixes an Application Not Responding problem that mostly occurred whilst restoring wallet backups.
  •    Do not close the app after restoring a wallet whilst inside the app.
  •    A few rare crash bugs, and a few code improvements.
  •    Also fixes an additional issue with restoring wallets.
  •    Added a secondary server by default improving the resilience when the primary default server is not available.

Is it similar to coinomi?
Yes and no. Both use the Shapeshift integration, however the Coinomi wallet can also hold many coins (multi-wallet) and has an built-in exchange capability.

Whereas the NuDroid wallet holds only the stable value NuBits, but would seamlessly convert them to another coin only when required on payment.
It is also more feature rich with address book, export function etc. It feels more like a real wallet imo.

NuDroid v4 is now available for testing.

All the goodies from the previous version plus the ability to use your own server instead of the default server as NuDroid backend. With that you can have increased resilience and no longer trust is required in a 3rd party back-end server such as the current default server.
One of the few mobile wallets with that ability. Until now only PC bound wallets could provide that.

Please check out the link when you are keen to participate in the testing: https://discuss.nubits.com/t/nudroid-v4-release-candidate-now-available-for-testing/2436
When all goes well the new version will be available on Google Play in 7-10 days time.

Release notes v4:

  • The ability to add more than one trusted server to the App to allow users to set up their own trusted server besides the default server
  • Allow prioritisation and fall-back to these trusted servers to increase resiliency of the App.

Please have a look at https://docs.nubits.com/nudroid/ about the Android wallet for all current functionality.

Now you can also chat about NuDroid on Gitter: https://gitter.im/Cybnate/NuDroid

It would be better if you publish its source on github. As then people will trust it a lot more.
It has been open source from the beginning. You might have missed the published link in the last paragraph of the OP.
Here is the full link to the source again: https://github.com/cybnate/NuDroid
