Hmmm.... mixed feelings about this development.

Ok, I think some clarification is needed on just what the situation is with Cloak at this present time. My questions are:

So in providing c4shm3n with the sourcecode has Alty handed the destiny of this coin over to the community?

I'm asking this question as this marks a significant change from the previous history of Alty pushing through and paying for all the developments himself to now asking the community to move this coin forward out of their own pockets.

If this is the case what about the other projects associated with Cloak for example Onemarket? Are these still in development? Is Alty funding these or is the community taking these on as well?

Everyone with a stake in Cloak is obviously interested in its eventual success but as the community is now getting involved in more fundamental way everyone's intentions need to be made clear and open regarding Cloaks future.

Yes it is very important that the Auditor is neutral so I would rule out any other coin's developer/Cloakcoin competitor.

For this coin to be taken seriously again by the markets it requires a full audit on the source code, nothing less. Even if it didn't fully pass it would not be the end of the world as faults can be patched and in the short term tolerated if developers are open and informative with the community behind them. If it passes then coin promotion will be just a important as coin progression to fuel its momentum and progress to the main stream.

Too many people here looking to make a quick buck and attitude that goes with it. If you had faith in this coin and the hard work the Dev's are putting into it you wouldn't care what the price is now. Don't invest if you cannot emotionally handle the ups and downs, life ain't a straight road. Leave the Dev's alone and let them concentrate on what they do best. All I hear from most of the community is constant whining yet you have the audacity to moan about PR. Clean you own act up before you criticise others cos you are your own worst enemy.

Some very bitter people on this forum who just because they tripped at the first hurdle don't want anyone else to finish the race.

Unbelievable the amount of headless chickens been running around this forum the last couple of days. A real cesspool of nasty, selfish short-sightedness. The dev isn't forcing you to invest or buy coins and you've turned on him like a pack of rats just because he has the audacity to make a bit of time for himself and who knows his family. As for the price fall you all have certainly contributed to that by your overacting and bitching and only have your selves to blame. I little bit of uncertainty and you totally play into the hands of the trolls who must of been having the time of their lives corralling you all at their leisure.

This board is an outlet for everyone, not just the trolls. To close it will also silence any people whom support Cloak and sent the wrong message that the Cloak community cannot take criticism however petty and maybe has something to hide. Also closing it would just let another one take its place with maybe less than good intentions and all the coverage.

The more these trolls shout, scream and detract, the more it shows just how scared they are of the competition. Obviously Darkcoins supposed merits aren't enough on their own to compete so it needs propping up with the only other thing they have.... bull. No one with any sense who has been around alt coins for more than a few weeks is fooled by this slander and as I have said this behaviour obviously speaks volumes about the quality of the competition. At the end of the day actions speak larger than words and if cloak continues to make good on its innovation and promises the facts will speak for themselves to all.

This gets my Vote. Great application of a Logo relevant to Cloaks main feature that incorporates the C in cloak as a shield over a person. Very recognisable.

To add my bit, the design should be Simple, Professional but incorporate Cloakcoin's core aspects to give a good first impression and to be taken seriously by potential investors etc. The coins with dramatic cloaked figures and masked faces look a bit Dungeons and Dragons, Men in Black and therefore a bit teenager.

The funny thing is that posters saying that Honorcoin is a scam still have the Honorcoin Signature

The anonymity aspect effects on other coins will be very interesting to watch if it is implemented as advertised.

Any statement from the developer at this stage would be helpful as it is looking increasingly likely that the coin and its problem have been abandoned.

All my Solo Mined coins (150K) have also disappeared along with the transaction logs. What's going on?

I mined my etokens early on when you received 2 coins per block. I did not contact the developer regarding the fork. Will my coins still be valid in a proposed relaunch?
