The new beta version is ready. It is mostly a bugfix release, the more significant upgrades are coming next month. You can download PhoenixMiner 6.0a from here:

PhoenixMiner_6.0a_Windows.zip
PhoenixMiner_6.0a_Linux.tar.gz

The new features in this release are:
  • Full LHR disable mode -lhrdis <n>  1 - yes (default), 0 - no
  • Show the GPU vendor name in the list of GPUs to make it easier to identify the GPUs
  • Added support for the latest AMD Linux drivers 21.40.1. There are some bugs in these drivers, particularly the clocks and voltages can't be set properly with older
    cards (RX4x0/RX5x0/Vega/RadeonVII)
  • Validated support for the latest AMD Windows drivers up to 21.11.2
  • Fixed issues with AMD RX6700XT cards with the latest AMD and Linux drivers
  • Fixed issues with AMD Vega and Radeon VII cards on latest Windows and Linux drivers
  • Fixed crash with very old Nvidia drivers (3xx.x)
  • Other fixes and small improvements

The updated list of known issues (driver incompatibilities, etc.) and workarounds:
AMD Linux driver 21.40.1 has a bug preventing proper setting of clocks and voltages on older cards (RX4x0/RX5x0/Vega/RadeonVII). Given that these drivers are also
usually slower than the older drivers for these cards, we recommend using Linux drivers 20.30 for anything older than RX6000 series.
If you are using Linux drivers 21.40.1 with Radeon VII cards, you need to add the option -fpwm 1 in order to have proper fan control.
AMD Linux drivers 21.40.1 has finally removed the requirement of PCIe atomics but there are problems when you try to mix Polaris (RX4x0/5x0) cards and Vega or newer
cards on the same rig.
Some Nvidia cards will report a lot of stale shares under Windows 11. Using the same driver version under Windows 10 resolves the issue.

since bitmain opened the last batch it hasnt sold out... either they have increased production by a lot, or there is some backroom information that the big companies arent buying any letting the small ones take the hit, considering there are news about smaller chips and samsung coming to the game and a lot of people with big farms selling all their S9's; brings me some fear (since i got a order open for march) that they are either coming with a new miner or some other big news is coming out, anyone else with these thoughts ?
Considering the current price of BTC and BCH, why would you buy? Bitmain would have to cut the price in half to make it an attractive purchase.

any real gamer that believe in BTC mining would make estimations to where it is going, and would consider the low quantity when the price is high, if i were one, this would be a time to buy them, since most time getting a S9 at MRSP is not about money, is about availability

I was wondering how smOS behaves wehn there is no internet connection for couple of hours? Does it freeze or how does it behave?

I have Win10 + Claymore running atm. It runs for weeks, but if I loose internet for like 30mins or so the whole rig freezes and you have to physically switch it on and off...

it will keep trying for ever until internet comes back

13 x XFX RX580 8GB stock bios
All possible OC settings (currently not overclocked)

ETH - Total Speed: 14.022 Mh/s, Total Shares: 3, Rejected: 0, Time: 00:22

Did test dagfix undervolting version on 2 different gpus - sapphire rx480 with original bios and sapphire rx580 with modded bios - no change at all in powerusage from socket. 2 gpus stay at same 370w and thats all (total system power consumtion). Did try everthing from 700 to 1100 and different power stages. Will continue to test on other graphic cards too but i am not optimistic about sapphires Sad

Same here with xfx 580 xxx gts, tried fron 700 to 900, nothing budged, same wattage, and everything stable, i even came here to ask if higher value was lower wattage, or the otherway around?

I just flash with "17.30 noaer" like half a hour ago and it works for me. I had 148mh-850w-5.74w/mh and now 166mh-950w-5.72w/mh

Can you flash new img into the USB containing old img? or you need new USB and old one is fucked up?

If you use etcher it will overwrite the old img.

i tried etcher and HDDrawcoppy same shit....

hay i want to ask.
1. if i use the simplemining with BTC wallet will it support it? i mining eth btw. will it auto convert or i still get ETH for payment
2. if I use nicehash pool will it pay me with btc like nicehash or its still pay me with ETH (if i was mining ETH)
3. and how i can see my profit each day or month?
4. can simplemining support 13 GPU AMD on the same MB?
5. which one i should download? there is 2 option on the RX OS, RX OS or RX OSDAGFIX?

can someone help me?

1. simplemining is just an operating system, that uses other developer miners, what ever config you put, it will do that, regardless of the SMos stock settings which are for the people who dont know how to manipulate everything, you know, making it....simple
2. same as 1st answer what ever config you put you will get, you can get it to mine to nicehash btc address and get payed with btc
3. with your selected pool destination address
4. i havent done it but ive read some people in the forum that has, use search
5. dagfix has some issues but it works, i use it, and dont mind, RX os will mine lower (because of no dagfix) but is more stable

All your BIOs option set to GEN 2 or 1?.  That seems to be a very specific issue.

I will also suggest checking to make sure the PCIe slots are set to Gen1/2?   Although I actually think mine are set to Auto and never had a problem.
How much higher is  your total output power since changing to the dagfix version?

i tried this, set PCIe slots to gen 1, all my cards dropped to 5MH/s one to 10MH/s then switched to gen 2, 3 cards got 29MH/s the others 1MH/s and 5 MH/s, tried combinations of GEN1 and GEN2 nothing worked, GEN3 gave me exactly the same results from before, GPU3 with 3 hashes less, still no fix

hello all,

i have an issue and i know its not because of SMos i want to know if someone has this and how to fix this

first one, i have one rig, all cards are exactly the same model, but one is doing 3 hashes less than the others and its always GPU3, i have tried everything, different risers, re positioned the cards with the PCIe slots and still was GPU3 having less hashes, changed power supply and switched connectors, still GPU3, doing less hashes.

Second one, one of the cards fails (not GPU3), and stops appearing on the miner list (GPU3 still giving 3 hashes less), i have to restart (from the  WEB UI or phiscally) in order for the computer to recognize the 7th card again

my build is this
Celeron G3900 skylake
MSI Z170A gaming m5
kingstone 4gb ddr4 memory
7x XFX Rx580 XXX gts 8gb video cards
2x 750W power supply
6 version 007 risers and one version 006 (switched spots to see if this was the problem but no)
SMos dagfigx version

will appreciate any help

Using simpleminer-RX-v1118_dagfix_computekernel.img got only 28.6Mh
Video card: Powercolor RX580 8GB with bios update.

What i'm doing wrong?

which version of powercolor? i had a problem yesterday with a brand new powercolor red devil golden OC hynix memory and with the dagfix and changed bios with overclock got 27.5mh, i tried another persons bios that made it work and got to 30.015mhs

what ASIC do you have?
