Have you found out a trades channel? I tried trade, trades, trade.btcusd and trades.btcusd to no avail.

I wasn't getting disconnected, but the socket went silent (after maybe a minute?) if I didn't reply to pings - maybe that's what's happening to you?  The implementation is actually very straightforward - take a look at the application-*.js file on the bitfinex site to see how they do it.

(never did a websocket client myself in node, so I can't help you on that front I'm afraid)

I thought it was that at first, but I keep getting the behavior you describe, even when I pong back. Are you authenticated?

bricky, I get disconnected like after 10 seconds when I connect from nodejs. Do you have the same problem? Also how did you discover the channels that are available (like depth) ?

How to make a webservice wallet?
by

Hi,

I want to make an open-source html5/js wallet like blockchain.info's or coinpunk. I'm looking for pointers as to exactly where to start and what it really means to make a wallet.
I've done a few searches but the search engine is really bad and I haven't found good results.

I know there are already some that exist, but I want to do it as a challenge.

It's really not the same thing at all. Bitcoin withdrawals are a technical problem. USD withdrawals a banking problem. Stop confusing everything.

I've been receiving a few of the withdrawals I made last week over the last few days. Still about 3/4 of my withdrawals are stuck. I'm hopeful though.

Re: Broken BTC Withdrawals on Gox. Update: 400+ broken TX for nearly 10,000 BTC!!

So I just tried to withdraw all my coins by breaking it down in 5-10btc withdrawals. Half of them went through, the other half didn't show up in the blockchain. It seems completely random. I hope I will see the other half soon enough. I'm happy I got at least half safe and sound now though. I think what they should do right now is stop withdrawals until the current backlog is cleared. This surely won't be a popular move when they announce it but will likely help tremendously. They need crisis management right now.
