We have a sad announcement today and our hearts are heavy. We as a team, have decided to cease development of Pirl.
Numerous factors have led to this decision but ultimately it all comes down to price and inability to fund development any longer.  After several attempts at a revival it has become obvious that Pirl, in its current form, is not able to be realized in a way that allows for continued resources of the development team.

From the beginning Pirl has operated on a failed business model, no initial funding.  Unfortunately, these fundamental flaws have now cast a shadow on our project that we can no longer foresee a viable path forward.

Since its inception Pirl has needed additional exchanges, marketing, etc. However, these were not attainable due to lack of funding.  Not only lack of funding upon launch but also the lack of a continued and viable funding mechanism for the project itself.  All of which are essential in today's blockchain industry.
We are proud that Pirl has overcome many challenges and attacks in the past.  We are also proud that Pirl has produced some truly groundbreaking blockchain innovations such as PirlGuard and ETH masternode infrastructure (we were first btw) for all of blockchain.

For several years, Pirl developers and team members have worked extremely hard, for free.  Unfortunately this is the end.

Pirl blockchain is open-source and anyone from the community can decide to work on it.  Going forward we will do our best to support the continued community developmental efforts.  It will not be asked to be delisted from any exchange, Pirl operates in a truly decentralized manner. We appreciate your great support and engagement.

On a more personal note, I appreciate all the help and support you made for Pirl, it was a great adventure .The success of Pirl was a long standing dream of mine, but eventually reality has to be faced. If reality is not faced, both professional and personal hardship will be the results. The decisions in this letter were thought about long and hard, and sadly, no other acceptable options are available to me. The Pirl blockchain, and its journey will stay forever an awesome experience. Even if it did not end as I would have expected or desired.

It's really lazy to call everything a "scam" retrospectively from mid-2019...
But in 2017, Ethereum forks were hot and a LOT of money was stacked by hard working traders...
Some of these projects had talented devs and are still in active development.

UBQ was able to list tokens like DOT, APX, GEO and is still worth $5 million...
PIRL has great devs and keeps rolling out new features.

Several of these projects got crushed by the Cryptopia fraud.

Are all those PIVX forks doing better? Oh, they all went to zero. Too bad.

Honestly i dont like any hardforks specially when it was resulted into new coin into existence. I think fork copycats is just after for easy money. Well thats my personal opinion about some forks, but if the fork was intended to upgrade for the better of the existing coin, thats fine and we should support it. In your list of Ethereum forks. i see it on CMC already that means those forks was already traded and also contributed in the entire CryptoMarketCap im sure the team behind those forks are already making money.

If they decided to put this on ice there should at least be some upfront communication with the community.

Good project? Its a sham, scam and take away peoples money

Seeing all of your hashrates with Cryptonight Heavy I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong with my R9 290s. It just seems that 440H/s is a bit on the low side.
Have tried XMR-Stak and xmrig

Someone told me, that they still have a new discord open, with the next presale action, called again something with "nodez" perhaps "smartnodez" or something? I can't remember, someone knows more about it???

this thread is not here to hurt someones feelings or investment.
it is a report based on facts about a coin and maybe coins in future, which are failing over and over again.

I am watching their discord chat and i have to say it is going worst.
They are not giving any information and let the people in the dark.
Some people which are connected to the coin team are saying there were only 2 fail launches, but there were more and that is a fact.
So why they are lying about it. the people are not stupid.
The community manager team is saying nothing except the gerryMC guy and he is complaining about trolls, but is trolling people by himself everytime someone is asking
question which might be uncomfortable for him.
If they ask to much he sends them into crybabies.
A early adopter (the people who invested before there was anything) was telling in the general that he wanted a testnet all the time and was asking about that since months, but he was getting ignored more and more.
That brings me to the fact that there was no testnet. So they were lying about it.
As early adopter (and i am luckily not to be an early adopter) i would ask myself if i would stay there or at least stand up and vote for a dev change.
 
Also the only people who are defending the project are the early adopters and that just because they are feeling more and more that they might loose their money.

The situation is not getting better there and the voices are getting louder and louder (if they are not getting banned).

if you are an investor (early adopter) then think about the facts and what the cointeam is telling you.
try to make yourself a picture out of it and start to use your position as investor to change the behaviour of the team and change the dev.

I dont really know the dev, but i have done some research on him and what i saw is not the best thing.
As i said, he was kicked out of 2 other projects before nodez because he was not delivering and thats a fact.
What will happen if he will be able to start the chain (after months of trying) and something happens in the future ? try to ask yourself !
he also bought his followers on twitter (you can check that by just looking at the rise of the follower numbers and who is following him).

For me (and thats just my impression) it looks like he wants to be more important than he is and he dont want really work for it to be famous as he wants.

but under the line i have to say it again :

If the early adopters dont start to put the things together and have a look at the facts THIS COIN WILL DIE.
Stand up and change things massively or you will loose your money.

Thanks for this info. I'm new in the cryptoworld and I'm currently searching for new altcoins with potential that I can invest in as what I've heard, it gives you great opportunity if you invest in those kinds of coins because their young and there's a long way for them to develop and reach its peak. But it can be tricky though.
